Thought I would keep with the dancing theme. Happy New Year to everyone. Lets all hope for a much safer 2021.

Even though I wasn't planning to weigh in this morning, I did out of habit and weighed in at 9st5. Take away (very delayed) last night, so not surprised. My aim is to be 9st1ish by the end of January. I'm hoping to get a couple of pounds off for my Birthday on the 9th.

@Heygirlheyboy, that you have LOST weight over the last week is fecking heroic Grin. I don't know how you did it, very well done!

So I'm determined to hitch myself back up to the wagon and return to my maintenance number. It's made how quickly weeks of hard work can be undone! But I did it before and I can do it again. Planning a good walk this morning.

IDontMindMarmite · 01/01/2021 10:04

Thank you for starting the new thread

FestiveFannyGallops · 01/01/2021 10:05

Thanks for the new thread!
I wasn't going to weigh this morning either but if I didn't I'd get the fear. 61.25kg. That's with AF so I'm trying not to be hard on myself. Back on the old 15:9 from today then working towards 1250 Cals per day.

OverTheRainbow88 · 01/01/2021 10:05

Ooh can I join please? Need to loose about 10kg, seems daunting but hopefully doable

drspouse · 01/01/2021 10:11

Hello!
Had my nice eggs/bacon/mushrooms eventually after the DCs came and demanded bacon!
Need to go out for a stroll, I'm currently aiming for just 5K owing to recovering from knee injury and have no bike and no swimming in Tier 4.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/01/2021 10:17

Let's do this! Thanks so much Octopus for keeping us going each month. For sure you'll lose a few by your birthday!

Thanks Idontmindmarmite seems my steps and water kept me safe! I do find the weekly weigh good to commit a bit more as I don't want to throw off my one weigh! Going to start logging the intake again here each evening hope that's OK. Hearing talk of Noom and Paul McKenna today, don't know if anyone has heard of either but really I feel I know what I need to do, just need to get in the zone. Heading for walk shortly.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/01/2021 10:26

Some aims jumping into my head is keeping organised, drinking water (!), getting a minimum 30min walk a day and keeping up my nightly skincare. It's funny it's a bit like the toothbrush analogy but I find the days I look after my food intake are days I treat my skin well also. It's like I have days I care about myself and unfortunately some when I don't. Here's to caring as much as I can!

FestiveFannyGallops · 01/01/2021 10:38

We are heading out for a walk today. I'd love to go along the canal but it will be busy and the towpath is narrow in most places. We will stick to the farm lane and leisure trail as at least that's wide even if busy. There's another public footpath that I want to explore too.

Monochrome4 · 01/01/2021 12:32

Thanks for the new thread Octopus37!

Welcome Overtherainbow88!

Today is the last day of festive celebrations, as I have a child with a birthday. We have already had some cake and a ridiculously sugary breakfast and I'm craving something healthy for lunch.

drspouse · 01/01/2021 18:17

Only managed 5000 steps but good meals today - light cooked breakfast, ham and coleslaw wrap, and turkey Bolognese for tea.
Nuts and dates for snacks, trying to have at least 3 days a week without added sugar.
I'm dead on my calorie target for the day but I feel like I will want a savoury snack later. I'm under for protein for the day and I've been having Bombay mix quite a lot, you don't want much.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/01/2021 18:40

What's Bombay mix like for cals I wonder? I like the idea of X days without refined sugars. I'm logging now as my teeth whitening strips are gone so I'm hoping logging will help! Grin
B: slice banana bread skinny cappuccino
L: medium portion lasagna plus slice banana bread (yes this is going to be a problem and we made two massive loaves)
D: sticky sesame chicken (lots of chicken) and basmati
12k steps
2L water
Happy with that. Have a lovely evening all.

drspouse · 01/01/2021 18:52

I've frozen two boxes of sliced Christmas cake - we actually find that cake goes mouldy before we eat it if we don't.

IDontMindMarmite · 01/01/2021 19:04

Happy first day back on wagon for me! Finished at 1476 and we walked for almost 3 hours today.

FlatteredRhubardFool · 01/01/2021 19:13

Now that the festivities are done I've name changed.

We had a late lunch today and I'm not hungry yet and it's past 6pm so with my brain then eating anything now is a no go.

Breakfast: toasted muffin and two cups of tea
Lunch: 4 roast potatoes, 3 stuffing balls, honey roast parsnips and carrots, cranberry sauce, garden peas, broccoli, 2 small Yorkshire puddings, shloer celebration, vanilla ice cream, apple and mincemeat crumble.
Snack: hot chocolate
4 big glasses water so far

I've not finished my steps for the day yet but annoyingly took my Fitbit off this morning and didn't put it back on until lunch so l be a few hundreds steps down on the count.

Keep going everyone, it sounds like everyone has had a positive start.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/01/2021 19:24

Em.. FlatteredRhubarb are you a sweet black and white creature?!

Monochrome4 · 01/01/2021 20:03

You all need to kick my arse to get back on the wagon. Yes, I was celebrating a child's birthday today so there was cake and other treats. That's fine. I just have two children, and they only have one each birthday per year.

However, there was absolutely no excuse for keeping the spare chocolate icing in the fridge and dipping into it with a spoon throughout the day.

FlatteredRhubardFool Who are you?

HeyGirlHeyBoy Sticky sesame chicken sounds yummy. Are you able to say where it's from or share the recipe?

drspouse · 01/01/2021 20:13

Oh can anyone recommend a wholemeal wrap that isn't too sweet?
They are better for a lunch with some salad than bread, but the ones I have are Sainsbury's own brand and very sweet.
I can make chappatis but they are a faff and they don't keep.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/01/2021 20:27

This is it my friend sent it to me. I just shallow fried the chicken as I don't have an air fryer.

Monochrome4 · 01/01/2021 20:38

@HeyGirlHeyBoy Thanks! Looks great and really easy.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/01/2021 21:08

So easy and so tasty. Won't bother with Chinese takeaway again as that's my usual order. And I can use FR chicken at home. Win win.

FlatteredRhubardFool · 01/01/2021 23:23

Hmmm, skipping dinner was not wise as I have a hunger headache and can't sleep but my stupid head won't let me eat because it's after 6pm 🙄 I'd forgotten this negative bit of not eating properly.

FlatteredRhubardFool · 01/01/2021 23:33

Ffs I've just calculated my calories and despite missing dinner I'm up to 1712! It's not fair to feel so hungry when I've exceeded my allowances. Gah! Good job I don't have meat or gravy but I knew that third stuffing ball was a mistake. Ah well, it was new years day and I wanted to do a special meal for the dc. We had Christmas crackers and everything Grin

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 02/01/2021 07:47

Can you confirm you are who I think you are Flattened?! Wink Hope you survived the night. I read that 14h a good fast for women because of hormone differences. I usually hit 13h from avoiding night time snacking and though I don't do If as such I think that overnight fast is worthwhile. Things getting v serious with covid, hope all take care and stay safe.

Octopus37 · 02/01/2021 08:17

Yes, 829 cases in 100,000 where I am now. Didn't do very well with steps yesterday, food was better, 9st3.75 this morning

First post Christmas weigh in, I think it's 3lb on but it's been ages since I weighed myself. DS birthday today so there will be cake but also a longish walk to the park.
