I’ve already started.... want to lose a stone at least. If I carry on Xmas eating till 1 Jan, it will be nearer a stone and a half. All my Xmas goodies have gone now. Some went in the bin today, some palmed off on family! So I only have good stuff left.
Here I go.....

buckleten · 28/12/2020 20:52

I'm in! Doing my best to clear all the Christmas food before January, finished off the trifle tonight! Feel so fat and uncomfortable, can't wait to get started..

poorpaws · 28/12/2020 21:43

I’m at an all time high, uncomfortable and depressed about my weight.

1st January is as good a time to start as any so I’m in

WeirdWomble · 28/12/2020 21:48

I'm in. Not sure what I'll do but I need to do something

Nutrigrainygoodness · 28/12/2020 21:49

Me 🙋‍♀️
I've decided this year I'm going to work in kg, so I have provisionally set a target for 12kg off in 2021 but I might double it.

Soral · 29/12/2020 08:00

Morning to you all, thank you for joining me.

Not long to go until 1st January, I am working my through all the chocolate in the house!

Me! I've never been this heavy and its driving me mad. I am so uncomfortable. I saw a picture my OH took of me and I couldn't even recognise myself !
Fed up I've let myself go.

Well done @steph2412 losing three stone. Sorry you gained it back but at least you know that you can lose it again.

Me! I want to lose 21lbs (I'm now at the weight I was when I was pregnant with DD2!) I'm trying not to go too crazy with the treats and booze in the house in preparation. I already exercise quite a lot and, as much as I enjoy it, it doesn't seem to touch my weight. For me, it needs to be fewer snacks and smaller portion sizes.

Welshgal85 · 29/12/2020 16:50

I’ll be starting from 1st Jan too, not sure what to do though. I don’t have a scales at the moment and I’m a bit afraid to get some to be honest as dread to think what they will say! Think I have about 2 stone to lose but could be more! I don’t really like the idea of obsessing over the number and think I’d rather go by how I feel/how clothes fit etc but maybe that’s not the best way of tracking progress?

Soral · 29/12/2020 17:15

@Welshgal85 thanks for joining us.

I have scales but I am terrified to get on them. There will be tears 😭

I’m in, want to lose 4 stone for my wedding in August!

steph2412 · 31/12/2020 12:36

I've just ordered a measuring tape! I'm starting tomorrow, new year new me! Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Soral · 31/12/2020 12:53

@steph2412 I'm waiting for a new battery to be delivered today for my scales.

New year new me too 😄

Im dreading the weighing and measuring in the morning but excited to get back to feeling a bit better in myself! Also going to start trying to take better care of myself I've let myself go lately!

WeirdWomble · 31/12/2020 17:40

So, what is everyone planning to do to lose weight?

I plan to exercise more but I also need to get my eating under control. Not sure which approach to take. I have used Noom before and that worked but I need to really commit to it

micc · 31/12/2020 18:36

I'm the same, definitely need to start exercising again. Getting in a good routine and stop eating like a pig! My daughter is 8 weeks old, and I was so much more motivated to loose weight after my first. I definitely think I'm just lazy this time! I've always got a million excuses!

MrsBobDylan · 31/12/2020 18:58

I'm in. I have been a serial non-dieter all my life but this Xmas I bought some fancy scales which sync to my phone so I can't ignore my weight any longer.

I have 1 stone 9lbs to loose and have lost a bit already by not eating sweets/chocolate. I want the pools to re-open because I am planning to swim twice a week and follow some kettle bell YouTube videos at home.

MrsBobDylan · 31/12/2020 19:00

How often should I weigh myself btw?

WeirdWomble · 31/12/2020 19:40

personally I'm a daily weigher as it keeps me focused. A lot of people do weekly though as you won't be distracted or disheartened by daily fluctuations. Also if you're likely to pick up an unhealthy obsession then daily wouldn't be right for you

NoJetter · 31/12/2020 19:54

I’d like to join. I feel fat and horrible. I had 3 stone to lose after having my babies and then I’ve had severe back problems and was unable to walk so have put on even more weight. I’ve just had back surgery and recovering and can now walk a bit so hoping I can lose some weight by walking and eating healthier.

micc · 01/01/2021 10:03

How is everyones first morning gone? Haha, I'm braving my first run in -3 weather! I keep putting it off, my OH is like are you actually going to go?? 🤦‍♀️🥶

JourneyToHappiness · 01/01/2021 10:19

I'd like to join please. I've always struggled with my weight but a year ago I finally managed to lose almost 3 stones. Unfortunately grief and poor mental health have helped me to gain a stone back.
Just weighed this morning and I'm exactly 15 stone. I'm 5ft 9 and would like to lose 4 stone, although being happy with my body is most important to me.
I will be calorie counting using mfp and I have a garmin watch so I hope to achieve a 500-1000 daily calorie deficit.
I hope 2021 is the year I finally get to my goal and be proud of me and my body.
