I haven't had a corn on the cob for ages because the bits in teeth put me off, but it was so nice.

I'm trying to have loads more veg to bulk out meals and to try and be more healthy. It's really working.

It's so silly that I can find eating veg a chore because actually, I love veg! Especially with loads of salt.

TiredMummyZZZ · 05/01/2021 13:20

I’m trying to replace carbs with veg, embarrassingly as a vegetarian I eat carbs a lot more than veg! But I’ve bought a load of frozen veg in so if I have say quorn mince for dinner I’ll brocolli, sweetcorn and green beans with it instead of pasta. Or instead of scrambled egg on toast I’ll have a spinach and peppers omelette.

I’m really hoping it sticks this time, I have pcos so struggle to lose weight anyway, but I was an absolute pig with eating sugar last year so I need to hold myself to account this year and get a grip!

Litthefirealready · 05/01/2021 14:55

I’ve had another run today but only 4 k - usual for me is between 5 and 10 so I’m struggling.

About to go on another dog walk, breakfast was a banana and very small bowl of granola - so much sugar in granola - think I’ll give it a miss tomorrow. Lunch was a tiny bit of leftover rice and madras tempeh and grapes. Drinking loads of water but scales aren’t budging! Probably due to last nights lasagne.

Quite proud that I haven’t had any booze - after a good couple of weeks of drinking every day. Don’t intend to have any either - hope my resolve stays strong!

I weighed myself finally!! I haven't since just after my daughter was born 10 weeks ago. I was around 13 stone and now I'm 11.1 so that's so much better than what I thought. I want to get to 9 and a half as that's where I feel most comfortable.. us all my clothes are for that size and I refuse to buy more clothes! I have been living in OHs tshirts at maternity leggins 🤦‍♀️
I did my 3rd couch to 5k run and I'm on my 3rd day of the 30 day yoga challenge! I also did a long walk with my partner and our daughters which was good.. I'm knackered!!

poorpaws · 05/01/2021 18:34

Evening all

So pleased to see we are all keeping up the positivity.

I did an early dog walk which got my 10k steps done well before lunch. I’ve done five loads of washing and drying and my washer is in the under-house store so I’ve been up and down steps all day. I’ve also cleaned out the food cupboard. The insides of my cupboards are starting to look better than he rest of the house. I thought I’d be throwing a lot of out-of-date tins out but I just found one soup can well out of date.

I’m keeping busy so I don’t eat. Early bath soon and then a FaceTime chat with a friend.

So pleased to read how well everyone is doing, keep up the very good work.

fingersdoublecrossed · 05/01/2021 19:39

Hi! Hope you're all well.
I feel full of a cold today.
B - 2 big glasses of Pepsi Max - I couldn't stop thinking about it from the moment I woke up, no idea why!
L - winter veg soup
D - oven chips, fish and peas with salt, vinegar, ketchup and tartare sauce.
Looking forward to being able to go to bed.

steph2412 · 05/01/2021 19:49

@poorpaws we've kept busy today with cleaning the cars and sorting the loft out!
I'm starting couch 2 5k in the morning, with kids at home it's a good excuse to be up and organised early I will do it around my shifts so 3 times a week hopefully that will help improve fitness! We were tempted by a takeaway tonight as we were all feeling down about the covid news but we resisted and I had steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese!

Welshgal85 · 05/01/2021 20:11

Well I finally weighed yesterday! I don’t feel as disappointed as I thought though, think I’d prepared myself for it to be a lot worse than it is!. I’ve put on over a stone in the past year and already wanted to loose some weight before that so not ideal!

I’ve started exercising this week and did a YouTube workout yesterday and have been eating healthier so hopefully I will start to feel a difference in the next few weeks. Hope everyone else is getting on okay.

Loobieloo27 · 05/01/2021 20:29

Glad we're all being positive under the circumstances, last night's announcement nearly made me reach for the wine but I resisted.

Another good food day and a 3k run which I found alot harder then I have previously but il carry on!

poorpaws · 05/01/2021 22:03

steph my loft is horrible, it needs sorting but I wouldn’t know where to start.

I’m concentrating on the kitchen cupboards (I’d love a new kitchen) and making sure I clean at least one a day until they are all done. Then I’ll move on to the bedroom drawers and wardrobe 😱, that will be a big task. I just think if I keep busy I won’t think about food so much (not that it’s working tonight I’m so hungry).

We are all doing so well, early days I know but we seem dedicated to losing weight. I’d love to be slim for the summer and I bet most/all of us feel the same.

torthecatlady · 05/01/2021 22:59

Lunch: red grapes, mini cathedral city cheese and a satsuma.

Dinner: salad with cheese and mayonnaise.

Snacks: quavers and a caramel shortbread from Costa.

No exercise today except for a short walk to the library because I was too cold to change into workout gear after work.

Well within my daily calorie allowance and didn't feel hungry.

Bubnomore · 06/01/2021 00:13

Another good day, albeit had a cheesy pasta Dish for dinner. Though the first time in a while I’ve felt satisfied by dinner, and didn’t feel the need to snack. Also did a long walk and definitely drinking more water.

Not seen much movement on the scales but hopefully by the end of the week they won’t be so stubborn and will begin to budge a little bit.

steph2412 · 06/01/2021 06:45

Morning all just done my first C25K run (started on week 2) feel absolutely shattered now and aching all over! Only covered 2 miles but it's a start! Hope everyone has a good day X

NatMoz · 06/01/2021 07:29

I actually started on Weds 30th December so a week has now gone by and I've lost just under 2lb which I'm happy with.

Start weight 11st 12 and an eighth?
Current weight 11st 10.25
Goal weight 11st 2lb

My wedding weight was 11st 5lb so I'm not horrendously far off. I plan to go running in my lunch break so will squeeze 5-6 miles in

Soral · 06/01/2021 07:51

I'm so pleased that everyone is doing so well.

I struggled last night craving sweet food but settled on Greek yogurt.

Good luck today.

I put myself to bed at about 8 o'clock last night. I'm feeling pretty rubbish again this morning. No appetite at all, so at least the scales might shift! 🤞

Soral · 06/01/2021 11:12

@fingersdoublecrossed sorry you are feeling ill. Hope you feel better soon 💐

fingersdoublecrossed · 06/01/2021 11:45

Thanks @Soral. It's just a cold - I'm hoping it will pass as quickly as it came!
Wondering what to have to eat this lunchtime. Might just have some toast or a tin of soup.

Bubnomore · 06/01/2021 13:46

I’m definitely going to need some will power today. Homeschooling, and looking after a toddler in parallel, are beginning to take its toll. Biscuits are usually my friend and saviour at such emotional eating times. So far so good - if I can get through this afternoon without raiding the cupboard will definitely be a good sign of me taking responsibility for myself, and not blaming DH for buying more -he may be able to eat one a day, but typically when I start I’m like a Cookie Monster. Confused

Not had one yet.... but let’s see how I get on.

steph2412 · 06/01/2021 13:57

@Bubnomore I know how you feel! I've resisted so far! About to have fruit and yogurt and have chicken for tea, I'm shattered so plan to settle down early this evening so I won't be tempted!

Soral · 06/01/2021 15:29

Not long to go until Friday weigh in.

Just had a filthy sausage sandwich. It was so good, the only saving grace is that I used whole meal bread.

I weighed yesterday & had gone up from 9s 4 & 1/4lb to 9s 7 & 3/4lb. Changed the battery in my scales & left them time to settle & to think about their behaviour 😀

This morning I was 9s 3 & 3/4lb 👏🏻 I feel more like my old self. I'm wondering if I get to 9s 0lb or under if I'll think I look thin, as I've got used to being a bit bigger now 🤔

I'm going to have a jacket potato later, with some M&S coleslaw that I got reduced from £1 to 15p. It's calorific but I won't have much & I can't resist an M&S yellow sticker reduction!

Bubnomore · 06/01/2021 18:36

It’s good to know I’m not alone.Smile

I had some crackers, and went for a long walk and brought some fruit; strawberries and grapes to snack on.

Chicken Kiev, salad and hummus for dinner.

poorpaws · 06/01/2021 19:05

Evening all.

Another 10,000 steps done today and the food has been ok. I went to see my chiropractor this afternoon and my back is much better so I’m happy. (Six months or so ago I was screaming and crying in pain).

My big problem at the moment is trying to cook two meals which are nearly the same but one more slimming and a lot less calories. My partner is very thin (which annoys the hell out of me) but he works outside and does a lot of heavy lifting. Tonight was slightly ridiculous. We had chicken korma so a lot of chicken breast and I added broccoli and sugar snap peas. He had 1.1/2 servings and I had 1/2 on one plate and a salad on the side 🥴. How do you all deal with food for two?

Not far from weigh day, I think I’ve done well 🤞🏻

fingersdoublecrossed · 06/01/2021 19:48

Tonight I had half a Vegan BBQ jackfruit pizza from the Asda deli counter. It was really nice!
Still feel full of a cold but gin is helping 🤪
