@ fingersdoublecrossed wishing you a speedy recovery.

Today has been another ok one. Had a (very!) hearty but relatively healthy breakfasts, followed by an amazing dinner all homemade and relatively healthy, albeit the portion sizes might have been a bit questionable. Blush. I did have apple crumble for desert to finish an otherwise good week, and to satisfy the sweet tasting taste buds for another week.

Went for a very long walk for some exercise. Also, planning on an early night. My diet is always worse when tired. Another area for me to focus on as part of making slow and steady changes for the greater good of my wellbeing.

WeirdWomble · 10/01/2021 23:29

Yesterday I had a treat night. Had soup for lunch then treat night involved pizza and some jaffa cakes.

Was back on it today and have been good with food. Going to add up my calories to see if I can have a hot cacao with colagen powder

Today's exercise was running with dpony (not great for my pelvic floor) and later on some gentle pelvic floor and core strengthening.

Well done so far everyone.

WeirdWomble · 10/01/2021 23:30

Oh and continuing with the virtual gastric band hypnosis.

FearlessSwiftie · 11/01/2021 10:38

I'm in! All the holiday season got me out of the diet course, but now I'm back on track. Printed an edited picture of myself (made myself mch thinner with the help of Photodiva) and put it on the fridge to keep myself motivated. Also back to counting calories.

steph2412 · 11/01/2021 12:44

I did my daily weigh today and was down to 15st 3lbs so I'm happy with that following my nights now down 12lbs!

poorpaws · 11/01/2021 21:05

fingersdoublecrossed how are you today? I hope you’re a bit brighter.

I’ve done okay-ish today. Got my steps done and eaten fairly healthily. I have to say though that the novelty of a new diet is wearing off and I just want to eat ☹️

Hope everyone else is doing well and not thinking of food 24/7 like I am.

Litthefirealready · 11/01/2021 23:39

Constantly thinking about food - it’s very boring. Especially being at home all day - and in the kitchen homeschooling, I’ve done well today though. Haven’t been exercising apart from dog waking though so I need to address that!

Hope you’re feeling ok @fingersdoublecrossed.

torthecatlady · 12/01/2021 00:18

Wasn't feeling 100% earlier, felt exhausted and was craving a takeaway so I sent myself to bed at 9. Can't sleep though!Blush

fingersdoublecrossed · 12/01/2021 17:40

Hi everyone,
Thank you for asking after me - I'm ok. My only symptoms are loss of smell and taste and extreme fatigue.

I haven't had to take any paracetamol or anything but I just want to sleep!
Been working full days from home, trying to homeschool and keep on top of all the house stuff.
Enough now though - I've been instructed to rest.
In terms of diet - just want warm stuff with different textures. Doesn't matter what it is because I can't taste it! I'm not calorie counting or weighing myself though. Not in the mood!
I'll jump back on the wagon next week! 🤞

poorpaws · 12/01/2021 22:13

Pleased to hear you are ok fingersdoublecrossed, forget the diet until you feel well again.

I’ve had a rotten day with everything going pear shaped but I did to a very long dog walk to clear my head. Food wasn’t so bad but not really good either. I can’t see a loss at the end of this week for me.

I hope you are all doing well.

micc · 14/01/2021 10:20

I'm feeling really down... I know it's only been 2 weeks but I feel that nothing has changed :( I'm really motivated by visual improvements and I've noticed nothing. I usually see a difference quicker when I start to change my lifestyle.. maybe its because I'm taking it slower this time, or because this is the biggest I've ever been. But my weight hasn't changed much, maybe 2 pounds. I'm also finding it hard as I'm breastfeeding and shes really clingy, I spend most the day sat down feeding her. And if I dont eat enough I start to feel faint and sick, so I'm eating more than I normally would when trying to loose weight. I have been doing couch to 5k, I'm on week 3. And been doing yoga and 10 minute hitt workouts. I'm not giving up but today I'm finding it hard to stay motivated. I just want lie in bed!

KellyTLC · 14/01/2021 10:26

Hi @micc.

I help busy mums lose weight. Please don’t be disheartened with a 2lb weight loss. It’s going in the right direction 👌.
As you are BF you will need to take in more calories (approx 500/day). You are doing a fab job!

Everyone wants a quick fix, but doing it the slow and steady way is much more sustainable.

Good luck

micc · 14/01/2021 17:15

@kellytlc thank you, I feel a bit better now about everything... Its just so different to every time I've tried to loose weight before. It would be so easy for me to loose it. But I definitely dont want to rush it as I had really bad back pain and I dont want to do myself any damage.
Thanks for your reply :)

steph2412 · 15/01/2021 09:03

Morning all just weighed myself and I'm 15 st 1 so total weight loss 1 stone so far! Really happy with that! Possibly a little more bloated than normal as it is totm but I have managed to avoid the binge eating so far! 1 stone seems like a good milestone as I have 3stone 5 to lose! I know things will slow down now so my next target is 7lbs to keep me focussed! Hope everyone is getting on ok!!

BliainNua · 15/01/2021 11:27

That's fantastic steph, well done! Great motivation to keep going too.
I'm down 1.4lbs to 16st 9.8lb - need the inspiration of this thread to keep going!

BliainNua · 15/01/2021 11:58

Walked 29.01km too- for me that's excellent!

steph2412 · 15/01/2021 12:33

Well done @BliainNua! Feels great to get a loss doesn't it!! I'm just going for a walk now, I'm working all weekend so thought some exercise today would be good. Quite glad to be working over the weekend this week as it's where I normally struggle so I'll take my food and then just shower and go to bed when I get home xx

Bubnomore · 16/01/2021 13:28

Have had a headache, think hormone related, the last few days so not been feeling on form. Diet has been better than usual, but not great.

I’ve lost half a pound so 13 st 10.5. Originally was a little like, ‘I should have been able to do better’, but remembered that it’s my totm and sometimes my weight increases by a handful of pounds at this time - so to be half a pound down at this point is actually a great achievement. Also, not looking as bloated as normal which I thought was also a positive considering it’s totm. So all in all, small changes but still going in the right direction.

WeirdWomble · 16/01/2021 23:48

I've really fallen offf the wagon the last few days Sad

Need to get myself motivated again.

steph2412 · 17/01/2021 06:25

@WeirdWomble I did yesterday aswell and feeing awful this morning so no doubt today will be another bad day! I'm just starting again tomorrow at least then it's like a fresh start! Hope your doing ok xx

fingersdoublecrossed · 17/01/2021 14:50

I'm still reading but haven't been thinking about healthy eating at all.
Hopefully turning a corner now with COVID and ready to venture back out into the world. My ten days are up tomorrow night. 🤞
Still can't taste anything but really looking forward to some fresh air! We don't have a garden so we've literally been inside the whole time.
I'm not looking forward to weighing in! 😂

WeirdWomble · 17/01/2021 16:03

Thanks @steph2412. I am trying to be strict with myself today. Evening is normally when it all goes wrong so going to try really hard tonight.

Hope you're doing OK too

@fingersdoublecrossed had to hear you're improving

fingersdoublecrossed · 18/01/2021 12:17

Back on it. Weighed in and I'm back at New Year's Day weight 🤦‍♀️ but it could have been worse!
I've started logging food and drink on my app again and will be able to go for a walk tomorrow.
How's everyone else getting on?

Bubnomore · 18/01/2021 22:10

Been trying to focus on just being more active. Almost tidied a room whilst on a conference call to get in a bit more movement, and been out twice for a long walk. A real treat as not mastered 2 walks in one day before during lock down.

I get what people mean about novelty wearing off but this would be a natural point when I could slide into my usual ways, and hence keeping going at this point makes feel like I’m overcoming the first hurdle to making it different this year - consistency!

WeirdWomble · 18/01/2021 23:54

I'm struggling to get back on track food wise but have started exercising more.

I've signed up for the 30 day free trial of FiiT through SkyQ. Seems to be lots of variety so hopefully will keep me interested. Did a 10 min workout yesterday followed by 10 mins of yoga. Today did a 25 min cardio workout.

Now to start eating healthy again...
