Hi everyone, I think I had an ok day today, I downloaded the peleton app on a 2 month free trial yesterday and I’m so impressed with it! I find the exercises so much more interesting than the Joe wicks ones and I was actually excited to do the exercises today. They left me a total sweaty mess so I know they worked! And I followed with 100 glute bridges when I got my energy back, I’m going to try to do 100 glute bridges every day. For breakfast I have blueberry pancake bites as my daughter loves them, for lunch I had a bowl of homemade tomato soup and for dinner I had 2 veggie sausages and an omelette with onions and peppers. Although I did have a few after eights and some vegan chocolate than I tried to kid myself was healthy because it was vegan! I’ve written down what food I’m going to have every day this week along with the exercises so I can keep on track and don’t have to actually think about any of it. It’s so hard to get the exercise done and not just slouch on the sofa with a load of chocolate while we’re exhausted with a clingy, teething baby but I’m really proud of myself for keeping going, even if it has only been for three days!

I’m feeling really positive about January and it looks like everyone is doing really well!

Bubnomore · 03/01/2021 23:59

Well I made it!..... through the evening resisting anything that would set me off on a slippery slope snacking wise.

Good day walking. Feel like I will need to up my game on the exercise front, albeit trying to take things slowly at this stage - it’s a marathon not a sprint to rediscover my waistline.

Let’s hope for another good day tomorrow.

10kaDay · 04/01/2021 08:11

Morning Everyone, 1st Monday of the new year :)

Having a quick tea in bed before doing a workout video and starting my first workday of the year... slower start today as it’s day 1 Smile

I’m feeling positive

  • down a few pounds since Xmas
  • getting into an exercise habit and feeling better for it
  • feeling livelier from eating more fresh food and cutting out the junk

I made 3 soups and roasted some veggies yesterday so all set for healthy meals this week

Good luck everyone in achieving your goals today Smile

thecutback · 04/01/2021 08:29

@10kaDay sounds great!

I've lost a lot of water weight in two days. From 10st 13 to 10st 8 this morning.

I've been doing the 16:8 still and eating more vegetables and feeling so much better for it.

TiredMummyZZZ · 04/01/2021 08:46

Good morning everyone!

I’ve started today with two very cold glasses of water, a raspberry tea, celery and 100 raised glute bridges. I thought if I started it like that I’d be less likely to cheat! I’m currently trapped under a napping baby but I’m hoping to get a walk in today now that the ice has melted ( plus I need to get some calpol!) and do my peleton exercises when my exercises my partner is on his lunch break and can look after the baby.

Positive vibes to everyone on the first Monday of the year!

Soral · 04/01/2021 08:59

Morning all, loving these positive posts. We just all need to stick to it now. By the summer we can all be in a much better place with our weight. I know that seems a long way off, but time tramps on and we will be there before we know it.

Happy Monday.

Hi Everyone, I would love to join too. I started 1st Jan, no alcohol, attempting not to snack unhealthily. I am 12st 8 and about 5’6.

I’ve run for the past two days but my thighs are killing me today so going to make do with a long dog walk and maybe Pilates this evening.

I’m vegetarian and eat far too much cheese, especially over Christmas so need to cut down on that. I’ve really upped my water intake and have eaten just a banana for breakfast, homemade soup (no bread 😢) for lunch and a normal dinner (veggie sausage and mash/ noodles next night).

Fingers crossed it works! Feel really miserable as the family fattie!

Soral · 04/01/2021 09:42

Hello @Litthefirealready, I've lit the fire already too! Bloody hate this cold plus today it's raining.

I smiled at Family Fattie. That's me 😩

@Litthefirealready - I’m about your height, and your current weight is my goal Grin - am big boned & v curvy/booby though

I’m veggie too and have piled on weight due to booze, snacking and cheese + carbs. Your meal plan looks good 👍

Loobieloo27 · 04/01/2021 10:38

Can I join too? I have about 3 stone to lose, portion sizes are my problem and snacks, all hidden now.
Also I work for the NHS so regularly do nights/days which throws off my meals.

We can do this Grin

Soral · 04/01/2021 10:56

Hi @Loobieloo27 happy to have you. Good luck with the weight loss.

Morning all (just, at 11.58am Smile)

Just weighed & am now 9s 4 & 1/4lb. Didn't expect such a loss overnight but think some of it is hormonal water. Am still doing well cutting down & resisting the mountain of Christmas chocolate that is looking at me!

I've rediscovered fruit, I've always been a fruit lover but it seems to have slipped out of my diet recently. I'm really enjoying crisp apples & especially fresh grapefruit. I think when you cut the rubbish out of your diet everything else seems to taste more delicious. It's like your palate becomes more refined.

poorpaws · 04/01/2021 17:05

Evening everyone. I remembered to weigh for the Happy Scales and I’m down 4 lbs, all water I know but makes me feel good.

I took the dogs out really early to get their walk done and was out 1.3/4 hours so not a bad walk and I’ll definitely get my 10k steps in today. I spent the afternoon cleaning out the fridge, there’s a lot of cheese in there. I threw out the pate and some of the cheese so it wouldn’t tempt me.

We all seem very positive atm, early days I know but we’re all doing so well 👏 keep up the good work everyone, we are a very positive group.

thecutback · 04/01/2021 17:36

Even losing water makes me feel good mentally and physically!

steph2412 · 04/01/2021 18:33

I've properly got going today haven't been that strict over the weekend as had wine and treats to finish off! Have measured myself this morning and feel motivated. How is everyone else coping x

thecutback · 04/01/2021 19:05

Feeling very hungry now, just about to have a jacket potato with butter and cheese (all weighed and logged), with loads of cabbage and salt!

Can't wait.

Loobieloo27 · 04/01/2021 19:23

Day 1 for me today and I've been good, just getting to this time when I want to snack and have a cheeky drink but managing to resist so far!

Soral · 04/01/2021 19:28

I've eaten more veg and fruit in the last three days than I have in the last six months 😁

First day back in the office after the Christmas holidays for me.

I took soup but had no time to heat it up or eat it (not was I particularly hungry). But I did eat a cheese string and a small double decker (the chocolate, not the bus) Wink

Dinner tonight was a reheated roast dinner from yesterday! And it was bloody amazing.

Tracked all the calories on MyFitnessPal and still have a load left for today, so I'll probably have something a little later after going on my exercise bike.

I actually feel as though I can do this! Smile I hope everyone else is doing ok?

Litthefirealready · 04/01/2021 19:54

Cauliflower and broccoli lasagne here for dinner tonight - I was a bit dubious but it was delicious! Only trouble was it has marscapone in it which I’ve never had before - rather fattening sadly but no snacks today or tonight, no booze and a light lunch and breakfast so I guess it evens out!

WeirdWomble · 05/01/2021 00:23

Has anyone managed to find happy scales in the play store?

I have been fairly good today but got to the evening and snacked on toast. I need to start properly tracking my food again. That normally keeps me focused.

TiredMummyZZZ · 05/01/2021 11:32

Hi all, I hope everyone is having a good day and the latest lockdown announcement hasn’t derailed anyone.

I got dressed straight into exercise clothes today and did a yoga video first thing. I feel like it really set me up for the day and the instructor was saying to allow yourself to be optimistic for 2021 which resonated really well with me.

My fiancé is currently ordering a Maccies for lunch but I’m going to have quorn chicken nuggets with broccoli (we have a healthy asda shop arriving later today, don’t have a huge amount in at the moment!).

I’m going to try to do a hiit this evening then I think I’ll have a nice pasta dinner to recover!

steph2412 · 05/01/2021 12:00

I managed yesterday as my 1st proper day low carbing and 16:8, I know from the last time I did it that day 3 will bring headaches/shakes and tiredness as I withdraw from sugar etc! Just had yogurt and fruit for breakfast will be having steak with salad this evening! No exercise today as starting home schooling and sorting out the loft! Did weigh myself this morning for happyscale and I've dropped to 15:8 which I'm really pleased with! I'm on nights at the end of the week so I do struggle then but I'll try to keep focussed X

thecutback · 05/01/2021 12:12

Just had a corn on the cob, absolutely bloody delicious!

TiredMummyZZZ · 05/01/2021 12:49
