Evening all!

Welcome to the lose 7lbs per month thread for spooky October! My second favourite time of the year! Big coats, snuggly scarves, pumpkins, ghosties and toffee apples!

Link to previous thread is here The September 7lb per month challenge! http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/4013012-the-september-7lb-per-month-challenge

I only lost 3lbs last month (booooooo) but have really upped the exercise in the last couple of days so hopeful I will start seeing proper losses again.

All are welcome, whatever programme or diet you are following. We just stick together and raise each other up which has worked so far and I've seen some amazing results from you lovely regulars :)

See you in the morning ready for first weigh in!!

I’ve started weighing myself every day and then looking at the overall progression. Was doing it every week before. I think there are no set rules

Might be a bit quiet for the next couple of days. Having a mega MH wobble.

I weigh every day, as I find it helps to keep me focused. I record weight weekly on a spreadsheet. I have a graph showing a mostly downward line, although it's not very steep as I'm losing it slowly, 4 stone so far in 14 months.

I gained less than half a pound over the weekend which is good considering I had curry and alcohol.

I've not had too much of a bad day today.
Breakfast was cereal (full if carbs 🤦‍♀️)
However, I have lessened the impact, hopefully, by having salad with tuna for this evening.

Little snack of ham and pease pudding rolled up.

Fluid intake ok and nice long walk with the dog.

I step on the scales every day. It does effect my mood of I gain but it keeps me focused. I hoping to lose at least 1lb this week.

So sorry to hear that @cricketmum84 Flowers

Take care of yourself. It’s so hard dealing with MH.

Not done too bad food wise today. Had a leftover portion of my slow cooker veg curry at lunch with some Cous cous but I just can't bring myself to eat anything this evening. Unfortunately when the panic attacks and anxiety kick in I just totally lose my appetite. Had barely any sleep last night and laid awake in the early hours with the start of a huge panic attack. I got up at 6 but shaking like a leaf and my head all over the place.
I've shouted at everyone all day and been horrible to them all.
I think I'm just going to go to bed with a book and my kitten and have some cat snuggles

Oh sorry to hear that @cricketmum84. I was also awake through the night last night. I suffer with anxiety too, I thought I had it under control but I just didnt feel right yesterday.
Does not sound the extent to which you are suffering at the moment mind. I've only ever gone off food with severe anxiety/life changing event.

I hope you find some peace and get plenty of love and cuddles from the cat.

Do you meditate? I find it helps. Also when I was Ill like that I used to listen to stoicism and buddhism videos on youtube.

Doesnt sort the issues which cause anxiety but can help calm and put things into perspective.

Take care cricketmum, kitten cuddles sound nice!

I'm down a pound for October.

I had chicken fajitas last night, but no wrap for me.

Finally got the scales working and September/start of october loss is 2kg. Now at 72Kg hoping to be at 70 by the end of this month which will get me very close to the 10stone bracket.

Thanks guys, slept a bit better last night apart from a random wake up at 2.30-4. Didn't think I was going to get back off but I got another couple of hours in the end. I also have a really sore throat, really hope I'm not starting with another cold/cough type thing!

First pound of the month is off and am down to 16.10.

Going to try to eat very healthily today and keep on top of anxiety meds although they do tend to leave me lacking in energy a little as they slow everything down. Plan is:
B - banana and a satsuma
L - small portion of my vegetable curry
D - haven't decided yet but gonna have a flick through a couple of vegan cookbooks for some ideas, something carb free and easy

Have a good day everyone x

My weight has stayed the same again but hoping for movement soon. Had porridge and berries for breakfast and have lentil bolognese for tea. I'm in the office at the moment so if I'm still here lunchtime I'll have a cuppa soup as that's all I have here!

My official weigh in day is Wednesday but took a cheeky look this morning and if things hold steady I'm on track for 2lb loss this week.

Just need to make sure I behave myself and stick to plan today.

I’ve lost 2st 8 this year, but it’s slowed hugely the last few months. I’ve been complacent. So I’m glad to find this thread.

SW: 15st 2
CW: 12st 6
TW: 10st 4, but I’ll be very happy to get under 11!

Well done everyone on impressive losses. Losing at a glacial pace these days but I lost half a pound last week so that makes 41 pounds in total. Probably gained it all back at the weekend though, lol.

I weighed in at 10st again today, so that’s the 1.5lb from the weekend back off. I just need to put a concerted effort into this last 7lb now. I’m trying to distract myself from food by tidying the house and taking the dog (who also needs to lose weight) for extra walks.

Anthilda · 06/10/2020 14:04

Well the little bit of weight I gained over the weekend has come back off. Scales are back to 9st 9lbs.

I've had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast
Cod chucked in the oven with a tin of tomatoes and some garlic, herbs and sweetcorn over the top.
Tea will be chicken and rice but only a small portion.

I need to keep up my water intake though! Off to get a large glass, if its in front of me I'll drink it.

Ps. I resisted the temptation of a snickers bar earlier Grin

I seem to have proved to myself that eating more sugar and not logging my food means that if I exercise I end up losing very little weight.

If I eat less sugar and log my food and exercise then I lose weight. And sleep better.

Who'd have thought it BlushGrin
