Evening all!

Welcome to the lose 7lbs per month thread for spooky October! My second favourite time of the year! Big coats, snuggly scarves, pumpkins, ghosties and toffee apples!

Link to previous thread is here The September 7lb per month challenge! http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/4013012-the-september-7lb-per-month-challenge

I only lost 3lbs last month (booooooo) but have really upped the exercise in the last couple of days so hopeful I will start seeing proper losses again.

All are welcome, whatever programme or diet you are following. We just stick together and raise each other up which has worked so far and I've seen some amazing results from you lovely regulars :)

See you in the morning ready for first weigh in!!

@MsMiaWallace if you're doing lots of workouts then you must be building and toning muscle. I tried carb cycling once or twice to try and shift a couple of pounds.

@FatGirlShrinking congrats! What a great barrier you've smashed through!

I've had a lunch out today, that's the first time I've eaten out in ages. I really enjoyed it! It was delicious, everyone enjoyed their food so it felt like a win.

I'll head out for a hike tomorrow, it's forecast rain for us so I enjoy stomping across a beach in that weather. It gets far too hot to walk across the sand on a sunny day, so I love it when the rain comes!

Weigh in today, stayed the same, but that's OK. I'm still down for this month.
Some great losses being reported. @FatGirlShrinking congratulations on your achievement. Like you, I'd been well over 200lbs all my adult life. I'm now at a lower weight than I've been since my teens, 50 years ago. Not sure what I weighed but I know I was a size 18/20 when I was 18. I'm now size 14 and it's taken me a while to believe that. Keep up the good work and take photos, which I didn't do but I wish I had.

Been for a 10km run this morning - was the Virtual Vitality London 10k which I probably wouldn’t have done if things had been different so good that I could run it near home in the sun Smile.

And I weighed myself when I got back and I was 65.3kg Smile.

On 1st October I was 69.6kg so have lost 4.6kg so far this month. After losing about 0.5kg in September this feels good 😊

You've done amazingly @Ecci size 14 is still a dream for me.

I remember my mum signing me up for weight watchers when I was 11, and for my teen years my weight tracked my age so that at 18 I was 18 stone, the highest weight I can remember seeing on the scale was 255lb which is 18st 3lb but I'm sure I was higher than that at some points.

I've been morbidly obese and obese since I was pre-teen so being only 1lb off of leaving the obese category feels really strange and very emotional.

I've asked everyone who wants to know what I'd like for Xmas for money or clothes vouchers as the wardrobe situation is getting quite desperate, I'm wearing drawstring trousers today with the drawstring done up very tight, but they're large enough that my 6 year old can get in with me and there's probably room for another in the excess fabric Grin

@FatGirlShrinking that's class! Obviously not ideal that your clothes don't fit but so amazing that you don't fill them anymore. I've just filled a bag for the charity shop of tops that are too big and I was excited and a wee bit sad as I really liked some of them. Wish I was handy with a sewing machine so I could take them in! I'm weighing in at 12st 5. That's 4lb down this month and a new low for me (for 10 years anyway) Hoping for another one this month although running has halted as the ball of my right foot is really sore. Hopefully I will pass soon so I can get back to it! Well done everyone Smile

Looking forward to getting started tomorrow.

I can’t decide what to set my calories at. A programme I joined suggested 1500 calorie per day but that’s based on doing 15000 steps which I know I won’t do. I might make it 1200 and see how I get on.

Fatgirlshrinking, you are doing amazing. I am 49 and spent most of my life obese with my highest weight being around 17st so I know how hard it is. This time, I've been so determined to get healthy I've gotten myself down to a size 14, which I still cant believe. You are 1lb awayfrom a new bmi categiry because you've worked so hard for it and you deserve it, and more. It can feel a bit scary, I think, moving away from what you've been for so long but you are doing so well!!

@FatGirlShrinking I've tended to buy a few bits on ebay as I've gone down the sizes. I got some new tops and couple of pairs of jeans for each size and made do with them. I've optimistically bought a pair of size 12 jeans (they look so small), which I can get over my bum but can't do up around my waist (yet????). I think I've got about a stone to go to get the a healthy BMI. I've also gone down a shoe size (never knew my feet were fat as well). I'll be so pleased for you when you get to be overweight, keep us posted.

I did 8km walk in the rain, but flooded roads kept me local, no beach today! Never mind.

I'm always buying clothes on ebay second hand. If I can get a couple of things from one seller, even better because postage works out better. I've had some designer bits from eBay I'd never have afforded otherwise!

Lost 0.5kg since Wednesday so hoping to at least be back at my Mid october 72kg by the end of the month. Disappointing to maintain but i've been doing a lot of exercise so feeling stronger just not smaller.
I have been avoiding calorie counting due to previous issues with becoming obsessive over it but i'm thinking I need to monitor them somehow in order to actually loose. Perhaps i'll make up a bit of a meal plan worked out in advance so i'm not tracking everyday

Morning all!
Did my weigh in this morning. I’ve gained 5lbs since I last weighed myself about a month ago. I think most of the damage has been done in the last two weeks though as we have been eating ridiculously.

So as things stand ...

SW 10.12
TW 9
WTL 26lbs

Woke up early to work this morning but can’t get connected so think I’ll do a Youtube workout instead. Would have preferred to go a run later but it’s miserable here today.

Good luck for the coming week everyone. I’m afraid I’ll probably get really annoying posting too much but I find it helps to keep me on track so apologies in advance Blush

It's veg delivery day! Best day of the week in my opinion :) not the biggest delivery today as DH had picked a few bits up for me this weekend so didn't need as much as usual. Looking forward to the passion fruit for tomorrow's breakfast with koko yoghurt

I've never had a veg delivery.

Makes me hungry looking at it.

Had a sneaky weigh today and on track for a loss this week

I had prawns for lunch, I'd not had them in ages. Such a tasty and filling lunch, low calories, but good for protein. I had them with salady bits. Yum.

I had a pretty ' off plan' weekend and yesterday morning I had regained a kg but it has gone again this morning so clearly just temporary bloating. Trying to keep busy in the house although I have a painful ankle which at the moment is making me not feel able to walk far or exercise. Going to up the water whilst I am home and close to a loo Grin

I love the photos of your veg boxes @cricketmum84 The place I used during lockdown has changed all its options so it doesn't really suit us any more. Your photo has reminded me that I need to find a new place. Flowers

Morning all!
Had a good day yesterday, was actually way too low on my calories but was at my limit for carbs so wasn’t really sure what else to have before bed. Did 16:8 so had nothing until lunch at 1 which was actually ok.
Did a Chloe Ting workout but wasn’t too keen if I’m honest. Managed 3l of water which I’m pleased about.

Nothing so far today but will be having lunch again at 1. Did a fitness blender workout which was great because there was no repeats, I like that because if you struggle with a move you don’t need to do it again.

Lentil soup for lunch and toad in the hole for tea tonight. Can’t wait.

Feel a bit sluggish the past couple of days which probably means I’ve had a bit more sugar than is good for me. Although I was thinking I have changed my outlook as I’ve done about 18,000 steps and it doesn’t feel that many Smile.

Not sure I’ll necessarily lose this week but overall going down. And it’s good to realise things like when I squat down at the fridge my legs don’t hurt any more Smile

Ooh, veg box looks yummy! I need to get one set up. My sister gave me a month of riverford boxes for my birthday which I loved so I need to renew the subscription.

@FatGirlShrinking that’s an amazing loss for this month. Well done.
I will probs aim to stay the same for this month. Have been having a bit of a break from dieting but it’s hard even to keep to maintenance calories. I don’t know how I was able to be so consistent at the beginning. Now I seem to have a blowout and then spend the rest of the week making up for it. Maybe that’s what real life it like though. Certainly before I put on weight, I used to have days where I ate loads and then more restrictive days. As long as I keep a careful eye on it though and don’t let my weight creep up again.

Another good day here.
Struggling with the water intake though. I’m aiming for 3l but over 2 seems like a big effort.

Would love to even get 1lb down in October then really go for it in November. 7lbs seems like a massive ask though!

@MirandaWest you look fantastic- such a difference!
I am firmly on the naughty step Blush yesterday started well with a 7km run then visited my sister in her garden where I ate crisps, pizza and chocolate cake washed down with lots of wine! Slept badly due to loads of aches from my run and copious amounts of alcohol. I’ve been up since 3am and felt so hungry and tired all day. Ate crisps earlier and just polished off some chip butties from the local chip shop. Soooo bad but I’m going to have a glass of water and go to bed now in hopes of a good sleep and a fresh start again tomorrow. Won’t weigh for a few days I think. I’m annoyed with myself but we had such a laugh and I won’t let it ruin all my hard work.

@MirandaWest the photos show such a difference! That's a nice dress as well! You must be pleased with how you're looking now.

I had a late breakfast again because I just forgot to pick up my yogurt! It does make me laugh though, I just start getting hungry at 10:00am and think to myself"why am I so hungry?" Then the penny drops and I realize it's because I've not had breakfast yet, with intermittent fasting your body really does adjust to the new normal.

The other day I was thinking that even my feet look slimmer! Isn't funny how our bodies change with weightloss.
