Anyone want to join to lose up to a stone?

I have 10-14lbs to lose to start feeling comfortable in myself again. I'm 5' 6.

9 stone is my fighting weight but I'm at least 10 stone now, and I know it's going to continue creeping up.

I look at threads already going on here but when lots of people are already on I feel like I get lost on it Grin

So I'm aiming to start Monday, not sure what plan I'll be following yet, but will have to eat less and exercise more as I've noticed my thighs are rubbing a little and got some fat on my back etc.

@kirstinm

That’s definitely something — when others notice, there’s usually a good loss.

I had another badish indulgence today as I ate a big slice of cake but my portions were very good otherwise.

Hi i am coming to join in if that is ok. I am 66.5kg 10st 5 and would like to get to 60kg 9st4 . I like setting the scales to kg as 1 kg at a time is doable.

Egghead68 · 03/08/2020 06:36

69.2kg which is up .3kg I think. Not surprising as I only stuck to my calories 3 days last week. Still lower than when I started though.

Anotherfreshstart · 03/08/2020 09:08

Can anyone recommend a good weighing scales? My last two ones weren’t accurate.

TheNewLook · 03/08/2020 09:41

I’ve always had a set of Weight Watchers scales. I got them in Argos many years ago but Amazon have lots of WW models as well. The particular set I have seen to have some poor reviews on Amazon but I’ve never had a problem and find them very accurate.

Mreggsworth · 03/08/2020 14:31

I'm not weighing till Friday as I had a very bad weekend!

Egghead68 · 04/08/2020 07:07

Back down to 68.9kg again. It would be great to be 68.5kg by next Monday.

Welcome @Whyamiwastingtime. What strategy are you using?

Egghead68 · 04/08/2020 07:15

Plan:
B: Cake & cherries 360
L: Beetroot ravioli 250 mashed swede 100 carrot pilau 200 flageolet beans 200 (all leftovers)
S: 300 cals of whatever

Mreggsworth · 04/08/2020 08:26

Feel extra peckish at the moment. Think its because I'm due on. Went slightly over yesterday but not significantly.

Egghead68 · 04/08/2020 21:28

Plan for tomorrow
B: sweet potato fries 350 and ketchup 100
L: Roast veg, grains, beans 400 tzatziki 100
S: free choice 450 (probably low fat crisps 100, mint aero 150, cherries 140)

kirstinm · 05/08/2020 12:18

Hi all, how are you doing? I haven't weighed this week (yet) as I felt it would make me cry! Though I have been sticking to my diet (more or less) and exercising. Also back in my part time job this week so I'm hoping that will help a bit, although it's an anxiety in itself due to health. I have a lot of medical appointments coming up too, and a Masters dissertation which I am really struggling to focus on. Basically a lot of plates in the air! Sorry to complain.

I'm doing my best basically, but it's maybe not all that great at the moment! I'm hoping to weigh in towards the end of the week.

Egghead68 · 05/08/2020 13:40

Ok thanks! Taking it slowly with the weight-loss but doing better at building up my exercise (now doing 5 gentle-moderate classes, exercise bike, swimming, couch25k). Sounds like you have got loads going on @kirstinm. I’m really impressed you are still managing to diet and exercise.

TheNewLook · 05/08/2020 16:13

I’ve done it folks. 1 stone on the nose today! I’ve never lost a stone before so it’s rather thrilling. Took me 7 weeks. I’m not stopping yet. I feel this is my big chance to get back to a weight I’m happy with. I cannot explain where the motivation came from to do it this time, I’ve always given up before. It’s really taken me by surprise. I suppose everyone gets there when the time is right for them, so many factors coming into play.

I have MFP to thank - awesome tool.

Popsugar and Blogilates for exercise.

And Mr Freeze ice pops! I buy vast quantities of them and they get me through! Grin only 26 calories a pop!

I don’t want to sound gloaty when obviously some will be struggling. But I do love hearing when others have hit their target so I hope you don’t mind.

Egghead68 · 05/08/2020 16:54

Amazing @TheNewLook! Congratulations!!!!!

Mustardpot · 06/08/2020 13:58

TheNewLook well done, it’s great to have a success story on the thread.

I am back to square one, may even be heavier. Bad period at the moment, I am 53 and can’t wait for them to stop. I think tomorrow should be better, if so I will weigh and start again. Not giving up!

Mustardpot · 07/08/2020 11:07

Right I am starting again. Weighing in at 10st 7 lbs, bmi 24.5. Taking it 7 lbs at a time. Ultimate goal is 9st which would give me a bmi of 21. Low carbing, lots of veg from our garden. Going to keep a good diary.

Egghead68 · 07/08/2020 11:12

Good luck @Mustardpot. Second time lucky

Mustardpot · 07/08/2020 12:37

Thanks Egghead68. I meant I will keep a food diary not a good diary! Very hot here. I feel sick in the heat but pressing on with hanging out lots of washing. Haven’t eaten yet today.

Ingridla · 07/08/2020 14:19

Is it too late for me to join in please! I am exactly the same as you OP, well, am 5'5 & a half and 9.12, I've lost 2 pounds this week, want to get to 9 stone. My bell fat is the worst, it's like a thick lump of flab I can never get away from and I hate hate hate it.

Ingridla · 07/08/2020 14:22

Oh and it's my birthday too, on the 26th so that's a good target right!

Egghead68 · 07/08/2020 17:29

Your birthday is a good deadline @ingridla!

My worst fat is my spare tyre and my saddlebag thighs.

Egghead68 · 08/08/2020 07:02

68.4kg this morning. Heading in the right direction (very slowly).

How’s everyone doing?

Swearwolf · 08/08/2020 09:17

Welcome @Ingridla! Well done to everyone who has lost.

@Mustardpot I'm the same, back where I started. Keep going!

I have eaten badly this week so hopping back on the wagon now. I just went out for a run with my little running group (I did a couch to 5k course last year and still go out with a few of the others, we're all beginners and all quite slow!) and it was so hot even at 7.30! Combined with wine last night, probably not enough sleep, and not enough breakfast before I went, I felt a little like I was dying! Feel quite good now though, need to make sure I don't eat back the calories burnt.

Mustardpot · 08/08/2020 11:57

Welcome Ingridla, my worst part is my tummy too. Currently can’t see my toes past my tummy. My waist is a shocking 38”. 10st 8 lbs this morning, had large chilli con carne last night which was not part of the low carb plan. Swearwolf I am actually 3 lbs heavier since joining this thread Blush!

B Coffee
L Panfried mushrooms
D Chicken and salad

Goals:
lose 7 lbs fast
30” waist
fit in my 34/36 inch bras, currently not fitting in 38 and having to wear a stretchy yoga bra (I don’t do yoga but use them as sleep bras sometimes).

Egghead68 · 08/08/2020 12:07

I was 68.0kg this morning after I went to the loo. I think I’m at least 2kg down in the last month, which I’ll take.
Plan: gentle cardio & weights class
B: macarons and black coffee 500
L: pizza & salad 600
S: fruit, low fat crisps 300
