Following on from a certain posters 3 stone loss (well done!!) we are motivated and have dusted off our copies.

Sign up here, all are welcome. We can keep eachother company and help with motivation!

I have a huge amount of weight to shift, but my aim is 3 stone by the end of July (ready for next summer holiday)
I am hoping for 1 stone by Christmas, 1 stone by Easter and 1 stone by the Summer.

I am going to listen to the CD every night. I am also going to take a larger share of the dogwalking duties back from dh (I did this last time and the 45 minutes, 4 times a week really helped) I am also going to go swimming once a week.

I will only be weighing myself every two weeks (as per PMK's advice), and will report my loss here. (if I may)

Hello, Can I join you? I'm waiting for the book and CD to arrive from Amazon. I have nearly 7 stone to lose - gotta start somewhere!

joyfulspike · 02/01/2008 20:36

I think I'll pass, I ended up pregnant and didn't lose anything!

goo luck to all of you though

glittersparkleandwarmmincepies · 03/01/2008 03:43

i am planning to restart on monday when i have gotten rid of all the xmas goodies.

chewing20times · 10/01/2008 16:42

Hello - wanting to join in. HAve been listneing to the CDs for a few nights now having got them off qvc in November. Husband is not liking me going to sleep with PMK but tough! I have found wierd things happening to me like people have said - leaving stuff on my plate which I never do - and there is a pkt of plain choc digestives open in the kitchen which I haven't touched for the last week. Anyway - I couldn't weigh myself as our scales need new batteries and Dh has got some today so I won't know what I have lost but have a v long way to go like you Crimplene. So fingers crossed and get chewing!

glitterandsparkle · 10/01/2008 19:12

welcome chewing! (love that name ). i havent started yet, still getting rid off the xmas goodies

Shiboriamplehips · 13/01/2008 11:13

Can i join?
I got measured for a bra yesterday and was revolted, not only am i a 36 G,the vision of wobbling lard in the changing room was disgusting.
I hate my weight.

crimplene · 13/01/2008 22:04

Well, I've now done 10 days worth and I sneakily weighed myself yesterday and I'm down 5lbs, despite eating normal things but much less than usual and without all the snacking. Now hoping to have lost 1/2 stone by the time I 'officially' stand on the scales on Friday. Te he he. I can see my size 20 jeans going to the charity shop shortly

tessieb · 14/01/2008 14:52

I bought the book with the CD a few days ago (Waterstones, half price!) and I'm surprised about the changes already. I'm enjoying my food more, eating exactly what I fancy and as much as I feel I need. Amazingly, biscuits haven't been disappearing as usual - I've just not been bothered.

The part of this that I've been most amazed by is that I've GIVEN UP DIET COKE!!! It's quite a big thing for me as I've been drinking 3 or 4 glasses a day for years. I've tried to give it up before but always gave in to cravings/headaches as I needed my caffiene fix! Anyway, I haven't had any since Saturday morning and I feel fine. I'm just so pleased about that and hope I can carry on.

I'd love to know how everyone else is going on with this. It certainly seems to be working!!!

crimplene · 14/01/2008 19:40

It's wierd isn't it? Slabs of chocolate are lying around the house, the biscuit tin is untouched by me, loaves of bread are developing blue spots before we can get through them and I was running down the street just for fun this afternoon, albeit briefly.

I'm finding it very hard to believe that I've stopped eating all day long and I'm actually feeling good about it. I agree that it's nice to enjoy food for a change.

I can't be doing with the mirror exercises though. Too cheesy and, whilst I don't hate my body, it looks blinking awful at the moment.

inamuckingfuddle · 14/01/2008 19:54

I'm doing ok so far I think, have only listened to cd twice but when I do it definitely helps, I also can't stand the mirror thing! Best thing is I'm being really good at wokr, where I normally have biscuits throughout the day and big lunch as its subsidised - so far no biscuits this year and no puds either worst time for me is evenings as I have developed a wine and snacks habit whilst on mn/watching tv but I'm trying my best...

tilly67 · 15/01/2008 10:39

well ive got the book and the cd and have been listengto the cd for 3 nights now and i feel different already. my OHhad a huge bag of peanuts and normally i would just eat them whilst watching tv but i had 2 then i didnt want them! its amazing and m fidnig myself chewing food very slowly instead of wolfing it down. im dying to get on the scales though. oh well time will tell.

oh an i must add ive tansferred the cd to my mp3 so i can listen properly its much better.

good luck everyone.

tessieb · 16/01/2008 21:22

It's been nearly a week since I started doing this and I feel a lot better. I seem to have more energy and can't believe how controlled I am around food, just eating when I'm hungry, not eating loads of chocolate and biscuits etc! I've not had any diet coke since Saturday either!

Can't wait to weigh myself, but I'm going to wait till the two weeks recommended are up before I do. Feel less bloated so sure I must have lost some already. It's been really easy.

Good luck to everyone else doing this.

crimplene · 17/01/2008 16:50

I officially weighed myself this morning and I've lost 8lbs in the first 15 days! despite eating nice food, and eating out several times. The only hard part is eating mindfully whilst wrestling with a toddler and finding 1/2 hour to listen to the CD each day.

dalek · 17/01/2008 20:33

Has anyone got the new book? Is it a different cd?

tessieb · 18/01/2008 10:00

Wow, Crimplene, well done. 8lbs is a brilliant loss, especially as you haven't been 'dieting'.

How many weeks are we supposed to listen to the CD for? Do we have to listen every day once the first 2 weeks are up, or will it still work if you don't listen to it as often?

tessieb · 18/01/2008 10:19

Dalek - I've got the new book. Just had a look and although there are some changes in the book and a new chapter added, there is no mention of the CD being any different.

dalek · 18/01/2008 13:39

Thanks Tessieb

crimplene · 18/01/2008 18:19

I think it goes to show that you (OK I) must have been eating an awful lot of extra food to maintain 7 spare stones of body weight whilst bfing.

Yeah, I was wondering how long I have to keep finding the 1/2 hour each day to listen to the CD? I guess until I'm 'reprogrammed' and don't want to comfort-eat any more. I've got the 90 day journal so I was going to try to do it for the 90 days or until I feel that my eating habits have changed for good.

tilly67 · 24/01/2008 16:40

update on my weight loss 5lbs in 2 weeks with this plan ive been listening to the cd everynight and have read the book.
cant believe it at all

thisisRialifebaby · 24/01/2008 21:44

Hi, I'm glad someone has posted today as I've only just found this thread.

I am on at least two of the other diet threads but DH says my problem is dieting and heard Paul McKenna on the radio yesterday and said I should try it. So I have bought the book and CD on ebay and would like to join you all when it arrives, if that's ok.

Please tell me it does work cos I can't seem to stick to anything else. You all seem to be doing well.

tessieb · 26/01/2008 21:20

Congratulations, Tilly. That's great.

I've just weighed myself after 2 weeks and have only lost 1.5 lbs. I had hoped for more.

I listened to the CD every night for just over a week, then kept having a night or two off, so maybe that's why it hasn't worked as well. I don't think I'm following the 4 golden rules properly either, so I'll just have to keep trying.

Something I'm really pleased about, though. I used the techniques in the book to beat cravings as I used to drink too much diet coke. I've wanted to stop drinking it for ages, not happy about all the rubbish in it, but I've never been able to last more than a day before. Anyway, I haven't had any at all for 2 weeks now!

Keep posting, I need you all to help me stay motivated!

crimplene · 26/01/2008 22:25

Good luck and keep going!

Today I got into some large size 16 jeans I bought when I was pg before having to get maternity stuff (was a 14/16 before). The size 20 I was wearing literally fell down a couple of times, so I went to dig out something from my wardrobe, found these and they did up I can't wait to weigh myself on Friday!

swedishmum · 26/01/2008 23:50

Can I join? Just dusted off my book and CD having read change your lfe in 7 days. We're off on holiday in 3 weeks and taking inlaws (mil is very glamourous and I know I look like a beached whale). Being allowed to eat proper food rather than diet stuff is good, and I haven't been hungry or craved food for days. Jeans definitely looser (but sadly large size in the first place!!). Arms and boobs are where I've lost weight from first, not my ginormous wibbly wobbly stomach. But I'm holding out hope. Off to bed to listen to some sweet words from Paul...

thisisRialifebaby · 27/01/2008 11:41

I'm glad the thread's busy again. Well done on loose jeans - I want some of those

Book and CD arrived yesterday, I haven't had chance to read yet as we had friends round, but I aim to start tomorrow, I should find time today to read up on what I have to do.

Fingers crossed that this will work

thisisRialifebaby · 27/01/2008 19:56

I've listened to the CD. It made me want to laugh. I didn't fall asleep as some of you mentioned, but I can't remember much of what he said. Is that right?
