I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

I have a lot of weight to lose. Was doing well this week, but had a bad morning. I feel anxious about my health and the extra risks it poses, especially now.
Would really appreciate the support of this thread. Thank you.

Maydayredalert · 06/04/2020 10:43

Hi @wormshock, please be kind to yourself. Its such a difficult time at the moment, but don't be too hard on yourself.

We all have bad days, and you can pick yourself up and start again tomorrow?

wombatsandaplant · 06/04/2020 10:55

Welcome all the new people and well done on the weight loss everyone.

I have only just woken up so I'm yet to weigh in. I shall be back shortly.

Start weight 11st 8 and 3/4!

Porridge for breakfast instead of my usual fry up 😂

Maydayredalert · 06/04/2020 11:14

Well done to all who have lost weight.

I have not lost any weight yet. This is week 3. If you are like me don't be disheartened. I know from my previous weight loss that it takes a while. 15 years ago I was 16 stone and I lost 6st and maintained at 10st for the next 8 years.

I'm not going to beat myself up. I'm trusting in the process. There is nothing more I couldn't do. I've drunk so much water, exercised regularly, ate 3 sensible meals with no snacks. Binned off my usual daily cake, chocolate and sweets binge. There is only one way for the scales to go so I am not worried.

wombatsandaplant · 06/04/2020 11:27

I’m so happy, I’ve lost 3kg this week. Out of the 170s.

SW:172.6kg
CW:169.6kg

That's a good way of looking at it @Maydayredalert I think my problem has been I've been expecting big results in a couple of weeks, takes more than that.

I've been eating better for a week but won't weigh in today as polished off a bottle of red last night (very slowly!). Good thing is I didn't go and pick at anything which is virtually unheard of for me when I've had a drink so hopefully won't do too much damage. Back on it today.

supercee · 06/04/2020 11:32

Well done @wombatsandaplant 3kg is great!

wombatsandaplant · 06/04/2020 11:44

Thanks supercee

Thank you @supercee. It can be pretty disheartening seeing everyone's weight loss when the scales aren't moving so fast for some of us. Hopefully that won't put some newbies off who might be expecting quick results!

HouseTornado · 06/04/2020 11:56

catinb0oots - we did 20 mins of Fortnite dances and it was tough!

yorkshiremum - very true about having your head in the right place - which I don't right now, but I know that more protein works, so will up that aspect!

MaidenMotherCrone · 06/04/2020 11:59

Can I add my Lardy arse to the list please.

Following fast800 and intermittent fasting.

SW 12 1/2 stones

Need to lose 3 but anything off is a bonus.

2 days in and it's going ok so far. I've tweaked it slightly to make it manageable for me but still roughly @800 cals.

Hoping to come through this awful time

a) Alive
b) Thinner & Healthier

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

slipperyeel · 06/04/2020 12:03

Please can I join. I’m finding lockdown is working as I’m cooking and not relying on quick lunches or takeaways.

Start weight 12 stone
Aim is 9 stone

slipperyeel · 06/04/2020 12:04

I’m using the nutracheck calorie counter

HouseTornado · 06/04/2020 12:40

wombatsandaplants that is a huge loss, well done!

I've had weetabix for breakfast, egg on pitta toast for lunch and am making prawn stir fry for dinner.

If I can get through just one day without crisps in the evening, I'll be happy!

DivaRainbow · 06/04/2020 12:46

Hey can I join in aswel? I had a baby 7months ago and have piled on the weight. Im 5ft so any bit of weight shows on me, I have no idea what I weigh as I dont like to weigh myself as the last time I lost weight it would some times not show on the scales but I lost the inches. I have took all my measurements.
I started last week intermittent fasting and trying to get at least 10,000 steps (Which has been hard under luckdown )

Rayn · 06/04/2020 12:53

Another one to join please. Self isolates for two weeks and eaten loads.
The idea is when everyone sees me after lockdown they will all comment on my weight loss. Grin

Written the last two weeks off and the only way I can lose weight is to not binge eat. Three meals a day!
Currently 15 stone and will be happy with a stone off by the summer.
Aiming for half a stone of each month X

NothingIsWrong · 06/04/2020 12:53

Just had my lunch, few bits of leftovers and some fruit. Came to 353 calories and I am actually full (and I had a pint of water as well). Normally at work I would have a supermarket sandwich, maybe 400 for the sandwich and then the meal deal bag of popcorn on top, another 150. No wonder I put weight on. Although my job is quite active, so I am missing that.

Did get a site visit today which was lovely to be out in the sun. MyFitnessWanker says I have about 600 calories left for tea, but if I can get a good walk in this afternoon I should be able to have a wee snack as well :-)

EasterBuns · 06/04/2020 13:05

Just had a lovely lunch of omelette and salad, just need to get the motivation to get out for a walk. The weather here is a. It on and off with some rain showers so will have to time it right.

wormshock · 06/04/2020 13:10

Thanks May Day. I'll try not to be negative.

rivierliedje · 06/04/2020 13:31

I would like to join too. Anxiety and not eating well are making me prone to snacking. After a run this morning (that felt much harder than it should have) I got my starting weight.
Aim is to just have three meals and no second portions per day. Cook those from scratch and have lots of vegetables.

slipperyeel · 06/04/2020 13:36

@Rayn same here! Dreaming of wafting our isolation much slimmer and everyone noticing

WaterIsWide · 06/04/2020 13:50

MyFitnessWanker

That's not a mistake is it ? Thanks, it really made me Smile

WaterIsWide · 06/04/2020 13:53

I've got one. I dread the data entry exercise that it is but my Dr remarked on it so I suppose I better get back to it.

I've had porridge for breakfast

Lamb, cucumber and mint yoghurt sandwich for lunch with a small bag of twiglets and can of diet coke. I'm drinking tea now.

Tonight it will be chill con carne using left over roast beef that I had in the freezer. Served with rice.

I'm not to go to heavy on the chocolate tonight. Sure, I'm 'allowed' a calorie counted treat but I need to stop going overboard !

Yorkshiremum17 · 06/04/2020 14:13

For those of you getting 10,000 steps in on lockdown, how are you doing that?

Breakfast : none
Lunch : chicken, bacon, mayo, tomatoes. Apple & cheese
Dinner: pork steak, oven roasted veg, Greek yoghurt with peanut butter.

I keep a pint glass of water on my desk and try and get through at least 6 a day plus tea and coffee. (I'm never off the loo)!

I'm not really counting calories, I need to sustain this long term and hate calorie counting! If the weight stops coming off I'll revisit and reset.
