I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

Hi everyone. Can I join you?

I decided lockdown was the perfect time to commit to the transformation I should have started years ago. My weight gain is from a love of cake and my 3rd pregnancy where I never lost the baby weight. He's now 7 so that excuse isn't flying anymore!

I haven't eaten any cakes, biscuits or chocolate in 2 weeks now. A miracle for me. My plan is 3 solid meals and lots of water and a daily YouTube exercise workout. There are so many to choose from!

My highest weight was 16st but I managed to keep that off for 10 years before my 3td pregnancy. I'm now somewhere around 13 stone and would like to get to 10.5 if I can.

YinuCeatleAyru · 04/04/2020 13:35

I'll join you!
when I heard that obesity was a big risk factor for CV19 that was finally the kick up the arse I needed.

not sure exactly what my starting weight was 2 weeks ago because the knackered old scales didn't give a clear reading, but got a new set a week ago and that gave an initial reading of 117.4kg.

think its around 116kg now but scales seem to vary +/- 0.5kg and trying not to be too obsessive as that would be bad for mental health.

initially just want to get below 112kg so that bmi

SallyLovesCheese · 04/04/2020 14:55

I just download Paul McKenna's 'I can make you thin' app in desperation. I'm an idiot, aren't I?! 🤦🏻‍♀️

wombatsandaplant · 04/04/2020 15:00

Welcome everyone Grin

I’m not struggling on the crisp front but I’ve started craving chocolate. I need to power through, I’m not giving in.

I have not been outside in three days, I need to start walking again.

I started a thread about this too but will also join here.

I've been working from home for 2 and a half weeks and I have not stopped eating! Lost 6lbs since the beginning of the year and regained it all 😫. Also drinking waaaaayyyy too much, not daily but more than once a week.

Today I decided was the day I'm going to stop eating 2 bags of crisps a day and 2 chocolate bars a day 😳

I'm also eating a cooked breakfast every morning because I'm at home! All this has got to stop! 🤦🏼‍♀️

SallyLovesCheese · 04/04/2020 17:55

I hear you, twinkledag!!

The other day in Tesco I bought some of those Jus Rol cinnamon swirls and pain au chocolat that you bake. Just because they were in front if me and I hadn't been in a shop for a while! I can't remember the last time I bought them, yet here I am un done lockdown parallel world!

SallyLovesCheese · 04/04/2020 17:55

*in some

Duckduckgosling · 04/04/2020 18:11

Well done @myfuckingfreezer that's great - have you been following anything in particular?

Good luck everyone!
Nearly one week down for me.

raisydenton · 04/04/2020 19:09

Can I join too please!! Thanks OP. I too am also reaping the benefits of lockdown. 1.1.20 started at 15st6lb now 14.10 so, slow progress. Have lost 3lb in the last week. Target it to have a BMI of 29 about 13st in the first instance so I can have some medical treatment. Can somebody give me a realistic target date for this please?

Well done @myfuckingfreezer that's great.

I am using MFP mainly and slimming world mainly for the accountability of a weekly weigh in.

How have your Saturdays been and what have you all eaten?

supercee · 04/04/2020 19:17

Hello! 👋

After taking the first couple of weeks (I had to self isolate before proper lockdown) too far, I am determined to come out of this slimmer! I started on Monday.

I am trying food combining with calorie counting using MFP. To be fair I'm finding MFP a chore already as I make most things from scratch so having to work out calories in every. single. thing. I only cook for myself.

Wine and pizza (as a result of said wine) is my downfall so not having any this weekend and hopefully next and knocking sugar on the head too. Aiming to lose a stone and a half.

LaneBoy · 04/04/2020 20:44

I am dreading weigh in on Monday. I’ve lost every single week this year (often less than a pound but still always a loss) but I am pretty sure I’ll have gained this time. Mostly getting calories through drinks - I normally stick to water but have had juice quite often in the absence of being able to get actual fruit/vitamin C etc 🙄 and rediscovered my love of Dr Pepper so I’ve had that a couple of times too.

Coupled with pretty much bugger all exercise as I’ve been recovering, I’m not expecting progress!

I’m going to get back on the exercise bike later and tell the kids we are going on that every day. And set a time for our daily walk too - early I think because otherwise I tend to sit around and feel too stagnant to bother. I was so sleepy and unmotivated today and didn’t join the others as it was so hot (heat flares up one of my conditions) but I did at least sit in the sun for some vitamin D and that helped my mood a bit

Sorry for waffle 😳

twinkledag · 05/04/2020 09:57

Good start yesterday. 3 meals, 1 biscuit as a snack and 1 drink but that was to finish the bottle!

Changedname78 · 05/04/2020 09:58

Yes please can I join 😃 current weight 12stone. Have been trying to lose all year but can’t seem to get it to budge even a pound. Main problem is... I ‘treat’ the family ... to deliscous food... then realise it’s not so much of a treat when I feel like shit later from it 😞

catinb0oots · 05/04/2020 10:43

Well I ate two packets of crisps and half a bourneville last night so I bit pissed off but back on it today.

I am going to stop daily weighing as I know it's not good for me so will be doing a weekly Monday morning weigh if anyone wants to join me?

Duckduckgosling · 05/04/2020 10:58

@catinb0oots I'm on Monday mornings too - 1st one tomorrow 🤞🏻

twinkledag · 05/04/2020 11:49

I'll join you @catinb0oots

LaneBoy · 05/04/2020 12:10

I forgot to go on the exercise bike last night 😳 but I did a bit this morning, and then we all went out for our walk together

wombatsandaplant · 05/04/2020 12:46

I ate an Easter egg, oops. Oh well, back on it now. Still not had crisps though.

I’m up for Monday morning weigh in too.

Maydayredalert · 05/04/2020 13:21

I had a bit of a fail this morning. Made pancakes for brunch and then plugged it into MFP and it was 900 calories! Still lesson learned to do that before cooking next time!

I will rescue it with lots of water and a light dinner. I'm doing a yoga class later too. I always go a bit easier on a Sunday so trying not to beat myself up about it.

PaperDreamsHoney · 05/04/2020 14:35

Placemarking. Sick of being fat, unfit and having no energy. I'm around 15st now; my target is 11.5. Here's to lockdown making a difference! On the plus side I'm seriously motivated to get out for a good long walk just for the bloody peace and quiet!

RU562341 · 05/04/2020 15:05

Can I join?
5"7 and 16st 10 / 106.something kg. (although I believe I was more a few months ago...)

My goal for now is 16stone, ultimate goal is around 14, but I have to break it up!

Great idea about a reward for hitting the goal- maybe I'll go on holiday if I hit 14...

Nelly325 · 05/04/2020 15:11

Not necessarily weight loss but I am needing to curb weight gain
.. 25 weeks pregnant and inclined to rapid weight gain due to thyroid problems, and the midwife has said I need to try really hard to slow the weight gain, very tricky when my metabolism is sluggish and I can't exercise as much as Id like because of the lock down! I'll be following this thread with interest :)

EasterBuns · 05/04/2020 15:25

Can I join, I was 18st 8 on 1st Jan, now 17st 5. Had a good first week on lockdown but then not been so good lately.
Today is going well though, missed breakfast, light lunch and just managed a 3 mile walk with a decent hill. Only trouble is we had a tesco delivery this morning and the chocolate easter cake box was bashed in so we will have to eat that up. Will try to feed most of it to the kids, they are pretty skinny.

raisydenton · 05/04/2020 17:54

Today has been a slippery slope! Started off ok with a. Single crumpet for breakfast and healthy tuna salad for lunch followed by a tiny portion of Full fat Greek yoghurt with fruit and honey (tastes like double cream). 30g caramel nibbles was shockingly 175 calories and consumed in about two minutes and then two pineapple mojitos. Dinner is lamb pitta with tzatziki and maybe a few oven chips. I weigh in Thursday ( I do try and weigh each day too for reference)

raisydenton · 05/04/2020 17:55

@EasterBuns well done on your walk and hope the kids hoovered the Easter cake up for you Grin I used to love exercise now cannot be bothered!
