I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

Lunch: Wrap - 200
Pea and spinach dip - 100
Spinach - negligible
Plum - 50
Cake - 200

Snack: Twiglets - 100

Dinner: Egg cress mayo - 300

Way over my limit, but I don't care because I was really hungry. I've done a lot today. Had a dog walk, an hour and a half in the sea, and a HIIT workout.

Weigh Day, Sunday 24th May: 12.6

2lbs lost. I was really hoping to be down to 12 stone by the start of June, but never mind. Slow and steady wins the race!

Only spent 15 minutes in the sea today. It was absolutely solid with weed. Urgh. But I did walk for over an hour.

I find your posts really interesting @Pickles89 as we're a similar weight but very different approaches - i.e I did no exercise yesterday Blush

B - coffee
L - roast beef with broccoli,leeks,cauliflower,carrots and Yorkshire puddings.
S - mini Maryland cookies
D - veggie sausages with garlic greens, onions and peas
S - mini Cadbury chocolate bar and a bowl of strawberrries

Weigh in day for me today - 1.5 pounds off

@myfuckingfreezer I'm glad someone finds it interesting, because I am aware I'm totally spamming this thread! Grin I need to keep posting to keep myself motivated though! I am in awe at you for sticking at it so long! I've never been able to keep it up, but I am determined to this time!

I'm not really 'exercising'. The trouble is I spend 90% of my day slobbed out with my laptop, which doesn't burn too many calories! The walk/swim/workout sessions I've had probably balance it out to make it like I'm having a normal amount of daily movement, but it's not enough to see the pounds dropping off me - I still can't do my jeans up! I just Googled '2 week shred' to see if that's the answer. Nah, I'd rather be fat!

@LaneBoy I'm really sorry you're feeling so low. Sad That's how I managed to put so much weight on. I've been out of work for 3 years, with my hundreds of job applications/enquiries just being ignored 95% of the time. I felt so utterly miserable. Ironically, with lockdown and everyone being in the same boat I didn't feel singled out by society any more, and was able to get motivated!

What's behind your feelings, do you know?

Sorry you’ve struggled with job hunting pickles it’s bloody miserable isn’t it?! I’m just getting to the stage where I’m thinking about a career (I lost my job to illness a few years back) but the rejection is my biggest fear. Glad lockdown has helped with the sadness Thanks

I had been doing ok, but the loneliness is kicking in now. I’m so lucky having a nice family (DH, 3 DCs) but I miss friends. Now the rules have changed I want to see people but it seems my friends don’t. I know it’s not about me logically but it’s really kicking off some past feelings. I was enjoying things more but now it feels a bit pointless.

I think with the exercise I’ll have to just force myself to and not expect to enjoy it like I was.

You're all doing well. I've stayed the same this week. Was good until Friday & then blown it over the weekend with alcohol & food. Back on it today & will hopefully have a decent loss next week

@myfuckingfreezer I'm going to use your loss schedule as a hopeful template for my own, though can't ever see me getting down to 12 stone! You've done so well

I was very hopeful last week as i had a logely downward trend and now i am straight back up to my heaviest weight. It is very discouraging.
I am cycling to work now and get 10000 steps at least every day (ealks in the evening) last week i went running every other day as i was off work and will try to continue two or three runs a week. But it all seems to be nothing doing

I’m still chugging away! Lost 8lbs when I weighed this week on Monday but fully expect to have gone up by at least half of that on Monday as that seems to be my pattern of losing.

Was almost 300 over my calories yesterday due to a really high calorie dinner. Burned over 600 through exercise though so that should help.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I had another great day yesterday with so much time exercising having sex that I forgot to eat till dinner. So was able to have a lovely pizza guilt free and still be under calories.

My period is due tomorrow and with boredom of the weekend too I'm going to struggle not to over eat. Planning on getting some big walks in this weekend to give me wiggle room! Plus I know that really I don't need more/different on my period it's mainly social conditioning that makes me think I need sugar and carbs!

Yesterday I had
B - black coffee (I do intermittent fasting)
L - chicken and leek stew thing with broccoli and cauliflower (400)
D - beef hash with crispy potatoes, asparagus, leeks and sugar snaps (500)
S - big bowl of strawberries with some squirt creme and meringue pieces (150) and bag of popcorn (70)

So total 1120

I've lost 10lbs but still heavier than I've ever been before, if you know what I mean! I really hope I can stay on the wagon and make more progress. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Weigh Day, Sunday 31st May: 12.4

Phew, another 2lbs off. I was worried because my sneaky mid-week hops on the scale showed no improvement at all. If I can lose another 2lbs this week that's a full stone since I started which will feel like a real milestone!

I've measured my waistline too, and lost an inch. It's 41 inches now. Depressingly still 2 inches bigger than I've ever been previously, but let's not think about that!

How's everyone else getting on?
