Any suggestions as to best format to achieve this?

I'm limited as to amount of exercise I can do, so it looks like dietary approach to begin with, then hope to add in some exercise when I can.

Just wondering if anyone has got advice and/or done similar themselves and can share.

All input gratefully received.Flowers

I'm hopefully more prepared next week. Shit will be hitting the fan then.

So, I bought bunch of bananas to see me through those times I can't easily eat.

It will be ok on food combining, because I'm unlikely to eat anything else within the 4 hour ratio given for fruit

I'll get more organized as time go on. I AM NOT GIVING UP!

I love fruit, so , having a fruit day with a salad at end , will be ok by me.
Its the croutons! The wine! Etc....Blush

Be careful with overdoing the fruit if you don't usually eat so much!!!! Esp. if you're at work.. I don't really stick to the 4 hour rule of Combining, 3 hours works well for me. ( I do the intermittent fasting too) I sound an obsessive don't I? It's because it's so much easier to put on weight after the menopause Grin

I take a tupperware box of macadamias, and or walnuts which need chewing properly an apple or pear when I go out , oh and a small bottle of water of course.

You're very welcome btw. It's great to give advice to someone who actually takes it !!!!

Following your journey as am similar ish weight (160lb) and have a similar goal 🤞

pooriver · 24/02/2020 19:43

@agteacht 160lb is not very overweight unless you're under 5ft?

PeytonManning · 24/02/2020 19:48

I’ve recently lost 3 stone in six months which I think is a more realistic goal as you’re more likely to keep it off. I use intermittent fasting (16-8) and shit loads of exercise, every single day. Even on my rest day, I do something. I feel great!

managedmis · 24/02/2020 19:50

Low carb combined with fasting

It'll melt offa ya Grin

agteacht · 24/02/2020 20:45

@pooriver I'm 5'1 so it's a BMI of 30 😮
However I have had a baby recently so it's a longer-term goal for me, I was 147lb pre-pregnancy but trying to get back to my pre-pre-pre pregnancy weight of 137lb (so aiming to lose just under 2 stone to do that)

Ineedaplan · 24/02/2020 21:03

So great to see people chiming in! I don't feel so alone now!

@ppeatfruit you are my guide!

I love macadamia nuts and walnuts, so I'm adding them to my list.

Today has been ok - banana in the day. Carrot , cauliflower and potato in evening.

Not brilliant, I know, but its a step in right direction.

Ineedaplan · 24/02/2020 21:08

I love fruit!!

Ineedaplan · 24/02/2020 21:10

Oops, that went off too soon.....
I love fruit but, yes, will gradually build up. I know the reasons!!!

ppeatfruit · 25/02/2020 08:57

Ineeda It is great when you eat fruit on an empty stomach, you get the full benefit of the vitamins, my skin and eyes looked lovely when I first started doing it. I I'm used to it now and quite a bit older of course.

Oh and what we were mentioning !! Grin is much easier and cleaner (IYSWIM) when you get into it properly

Ineedaplan · 25/02/2020 21:36

You've all probably guessed I'm a bit disorganized!

Today didn't work out well as unexpected issues.

But....banana in afternoon.

Roasted carrots, curly kale, baby sweetcorn and cauliflower in evening with a glass of wine.

Off to bed soon, as next few days full on.

I'll hopefully squeeze an online order in for Thursday to give me fruit, nuts and yoghurt.Smile

How is everyone else doing? Flowers

FATEdestiny · 25/02/2020 21:58

You've had no protein today?

Yes, that's disorganised eating.

StormBaby · 25/02/2020 22:04

Keto diet is amazing. It doesn't need to feel restrictive. After a few days you no longer crave sugar in any form and the weight just disappears. You have more energy, need less sleep, are never hungry.

Nutkin123 · 25/02/2020 22:06

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it but the Whole 30 is the only diet that's ever worked for me!

It's essentially meat, veg, fruit, nuts (not excluding peanuts), potatoes, eggs, water, sparkling water, black coffee and black tea for 30 days (you can extend) - you're also allowed Nakd bars which is a bloody lifesaver.

So exclude dairy, sugar (apart from natural in fruit), gluten, wheat, grains, seeds, alcohol, sweetners (so no Diet Coke, flavoured sparkling water etc etc)

It's honestly the only diet that's ever worked for me! You don't feel hungry because you can eat as much as you want - you're just restricted in what you can have!

You'll have more energy and sleep better too! Would really recommend!

Nutkin123 · 25/02/2020 22:10

Oops that was meant to say not including peanuts!

Ineedaplan · 25/02/2020 22:34

Ta for replies!!

Blood sugar diet fast 800 there’s a thread on here for it. Plus fasting. I lost 2.5 stone to qualify for nhs ivf but put it all back on in six months

ppeatfruit · 26/02/2020 09:03

Ineed Careful with eating too late, when I stop at about 6pm I sleep better and strangely don't feel hungry in the morning!

Fate I'm a demi vegan and my eating is not disordered. There is loads of protein in vegetables. Plus vitamins, fibre and minerals in organic fruit\seeds and nuts.

CaptainBrickbeard · 26/02/2020 09:14

I started the Blood Sugar Diet on 2nd January and have lost 24lbs so far. It’s been a major diet overhaul and I will start looking at putting some proper exercise in next month! It really works and there is a very supportive thread on here which is motivating and reassuring.

On the caffeine issue, I don’t know but you will be prising my black coffee out of my cold, dead (overcaffeinated) hands - I’ll never give it up!

agteacht · 26/02/2020 10:11

@CaptainBrickbeard if I've understood correctly that's 800 cals per day? How do you manage, I'm struggling on 1200! I guess it's a week of hunger then body adapts...

CaptainBrickbeard · 26/02/2020 10:44

Tbh I haven’t gone as low as 800! Dropping carbs definitely helps with hunger though - the Mediterranean low carb food is satisfying and filling.
