I'm sorting my self out, starting from tomorrow.

So fed up with mindlessly eating crap day after day. I'm getting fatter by the week and I've had enough.

I will be weighing myself tomorrow morning.

Please join me.

Hi all, also checking in.

@forevergreen I hope the dentist went ok?

Not been too bad today:

B - 2 x weetabix, semi skimmed milk
L - scrambled eggs and salmon on wholemeal toast
D - will be veggie burgers (1 x quorn and 1 x veggie pulled pork) and onions in brioche bun. Have only just got in from a looong day at work!

No snacks today but did have two black coffees earlier with a sugar in each. Managed to get out for a walk at lunchtime near work, the route I do is about 2.5 miles. Am starving but hoping that eating late will mean I don't snack this evening!

I am also going to be weighing in on a Monday and only a Monday! In the past I've weighed myself every day and then got disheartened when there's no change or the scales go the wrong way.

twinkledag · 12/02/2020 22:08

@forevergreen hope the dentist went well. I've been taking my vitamins and making sure I take my make off at night because of this thread. It's all part of self care. 😀

Slightly over the cals today but went on a long walk. Still in the right mindset 😀

forevergreen · 13/02/2020 07:28

Morning, well I survived the dentist. I didn't need any work done but I have a couple of areas where my gums are getting a bit loose. I've got an appointment with the hygienist and I have to floss twice a day to try and get it under control. I'm a bit freaked out to be honest.

Diet wise I have been very good and haven't eaten any chocolate, cake or biscuits and I've stopped the Diet Coke.

I've started looking after myself a bit more, little things like taking my make up off at night and blow drying my hair instead of putting it up. I feel better for this.

Good luck today everyone, any tips on flossing your back teeth would be much appreciated!

Well done, ShabbyNat!

forevergreen - I use the flossing sticks, the ones with a small length of floss between two upright bits on a stick. I'll try and find a photo. I find them good for reaching back teeth.

I've had two fairly good days. Been WhatsApp-ing my tracker to my intimidating WW Leader, although haven't always been completely truthful later in the evening, when I'll have two digestive biscuits and a glass of wine but won't track it because it'll put me too far over Blush But even the fact I'm mostly tracking what I'm eating is a huge step up from not tracking at all. Plus, I've been making some good choices! Like, not having a pastry with my morning coffee.

And I haven't had a salted caramel kitkat since Monday!! I find white chocolate twixes are not as nice as they sound!

SallyLovesCheese · 13/02/2020 07:43

Like these.

Morning all,

Well done Forevergreen for braving the dentist!

Yesterday ended up being a bit of a disaster, I got too hungry and ate mindlessly, then I had a glass of wine too! I didn't track any of it, but I might work out the calories now to see what the damage was.

Back on track today though, hope everyone has a good day

Rowdythree · 13/02/2020 09:23

So I think I went over by about 300 calories yesterday, which is better than I'd thought.

Oh well, it's done now

Dillydallyontheway · 13/02/2020 11:39

I have ongoing problems with my gums and I’ve just switched to a water flosser. So much easier and supposed to be more effective.
Had a. Banana for breakfast and got stir fry planned for dinner. Just need to decide on what to have for lunch. I’m feeling positive though after yesterday’s good start.

forevergreen · 13/02/2020 11:57

@Dillydallyontheway I was so traumatised at the dentist that I didn't ask any questions, I just wanted to get out of there. I'm going to get a water flosser today.

Can I ask, do you use toothpaste etc like corsodyl which is aimed at gum problems?

Sorry if this thread is turning into Dentist Corner!

Dillydallyontheway · 13/02/2020 12:03

I tried corsodyl but didn’t like it (I’m autistic so very particular about taste/ textures etc) so I use sensodine. I do use corsodyl mouthwash though. I once went over 10 years without going t9 the dentists due to a phobia so I sympathise! Have a lovely dentist now though so go regularly

EmmaGrundyForPM · 13/02/2020 12:40

I didn't have a great day yesterday. I forgot to take my lunch to work so ended up.buying a low sugar yogurt plus a banana from a corner shop.

I then had to go to an evening work event at 7pm so popped to a Costa first for something to eat. They had packed away their salads so all they had available were sandwiches, cakes and crisps. I bought a chicken panini and then found myself adding a bag of crisps to my tray. So that wasn't great. Then I got home at 10.30 shattered, made myself a coffee and had 2 oatcakes with cheese with it. So my calorie count was way up.

I'm doing better today - at least I've remembered my lunch!

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 13/02/2020 16:39

I've had a good day so far - I think for me the key is being organised and knowing what I'm having when. If I start looking randomly in cupboards to find a meal that's when disaster strikes. I could absolutely murder a chocolate digestive but we haven't any biscuits in and it's 5 miles to the nearest shop!

mumoflittlemice · 13/02/2020 19:52

Urgh feeling rough tonight. Been super good but I’ve found it a bit harder today. Woke up in the night feeling hungry Shock

Got a splitting headache tonight and feel shattered Sad Maximising the protein, minimising carbs although not to extremes, but maybe that is part of it.

BiscuitMachine · 13/02/2020 22:37

Not the best day today. Muffin. Pizza. Caramel wafer. Lager. I'll say no more.

twinkledag · 13/02/2020 23:11

Been crap today. Tired and ate too much. Sorry.

MillieMoodle · 13/02/2020 23:38

Not been too bad here. I resisted cookies and doughnuts at work.

B - 2 x weetabix with semi skimmed milk
L - roasted vegetable and cheese baked wrap
D - teriyaki noodles with cashew nuts.

No snacks today but have had a whisky and Coke Zero this evening.

I have not had any crisps, chocolate or sweets all week, just hoping I can hold out over the weekend too!

xGAIAx · 14/02/2020 06:50

3lbs down in 9 days. Not complaining but I did expect more because I feel like it's more, can notice a difference in my face. I have been sticking mainly to 1200 cals, although a few days I was under 1000.

I had read that not eating enough can stop or slow down weight loss. That got me thinking, surely that can't be true, people who have bariatric surgery for instance lose weight by eating very little calories. Has anyone else heard that?

BlueEyedFloozy · 14/02/2020 07:12

Bit late to the party but I'd like to join please? :)

I'm going to be following Slimming World from home - lost 7st doing it before then reverted right back to normal when I hit target 🤦 No idea why as I didn't actually find it restrictive but nevermind. Lesson learnt!

Weighing in this morning at 13 st 13.5lbs so I would like to lose 2st 13.5lbs to be 11st.

My goal this week is to honestly track my food for 7 days!

xGAIAx · 14/02/2020 07:21

Hey Floozy, welcome to the shit sorting :D

I lost 5 stone doing SW, I didn't quite reach target and have put 2.5 back on. Onwards and downwards.

Forrandomposts · 14/02/2020 13:18

Haven't checked in since page 1 but all going well here.
1/1/20 - 225
6/2/20 - 213
13/2/20 - 209

First goal is to get under 200lb, second goal is to fit into a size 16, then will go from there!

mumoflittlemice · 14/02/2020 16:32

Ooooh, rest of family having pizza and movie night!! 🍕🎬
Waaaah!! 😩

Must. Not. Succumb. 🤐

mumoflittlemice · 14/02/2020 16:33

Also, wow @Forrandomposts! Well done! 😄

forevergreen · 14/02/2020 16:34

Just checking in
I'm so fed up with always feeling hungry, apart from that I've been pretty good.

Weigh day on Monday, it feels a lot more than day 5 today.

OP posts:
forevergreen · 14/02/2020 17:00

@Forrandomposts well done, that's fantastic.

mumoflittlemice · 14/02/2020 18:15

Hey @forevergreen I hear you. Could have chewed my own arm off on several occasions this week (including right now) and have woken up in the night hungry more than once 🙈

Trying really hard not to sit and weep feel too sorry for myself while everyone else tucks into pizza etc tonight while I ‘enjoy’ my baked potato with ratatouille 😳
