Anyone up for sorting their shit out?

I'm sorting my self out, starting from tomorrow.

So fed up with mindlessly eating crap day after day. I'm getting fatter by the week and I've had enough.

I will be weighing myself tomorrow morning.

Please join me.

It barely touched the sides @forevergreen Blush as I rage/stress-inhaled it 🐽 so I’m not sure I could even tell you what it tasted like lush 😳

lilyrayne · 10/02/2020 22:08

I'm in ! I calorie count normally but I'm just eating crap 😣 so I'm undecided between ww n calorie counting ? Anyone tried both ? Thanks xx

SoozC · 10/02/2020 22:11

I'd like to join, if I may?

Joined WW Jan 2019 after giving birth. A year on, i now weigh more than I did post-birth. FFS. I'm just not sticking to the plan. Too many "treats" or times I say "I can have it, it's okay". I've joined a new WW meeting, with an intimidating leader; I'm hoping the fact she isn't very nice (or doesn't seem it to me, I should say, I'm sure she's actually lovely) will give me the boost I need not want to see her week in, week out!

Today was weigh-in day for me too. So stats:

Height: 5'1"
Weight: 11st 12lbs
Size: 12-14
Feeling: rubbish

I've already tracked tomorrow's food in the hope I'll stick to it!

Justus77 · 11/02/2020 05:52

White twix??? Shock

forevergreen · 11/02/2020 06:49

Morning all, well done everyone on getting through day one.

I feel so hungry and empty, my body doesn't know what's hit it. One day without junk food has been a massive achievement for me.

I've been fantasising about the mythical white twix, mainly wondering if they come in a six pack.

I really fancy a bacon sandwich but I'm having a banana instead.

OP posts:
purplepandas · 11/02/2020 06:54

Aggh, me too. I am such a failure. I was so good yesterday until late. V late in as early start and kids swimming, ate rubbish when I got in as so tired and ravenous. Back on n it.i feel disgusted with myself atm.

Good luck all.

mumoflittlemice · 11/02/2020 09:17

Moooooorniiing!

Sooo, feeling slightly awkward about white-twix-gate and feel that this demonic confection should probably never be mentioned again due to it's potent powers of diet-derailment. I can only apologise to one and all for bringing tell of this crack-cocaine of treats to this safe space .

Ahem, moving on.. I am going for MFP today because when I was successful (about 5 years ago) in losing a ton of weight following DD2 it was using MFP strictly and relentlessly for months. It worked for me.

Planning my food to the nth degree is something I tend to fall into with MFP and it did for quite a while become totally obsessive for me where if I licked a bit of butter off a knife or snaffled a bite of leftover fish finger, I was entering it on my app literally while I was doing it! I'm far away from that currently Grin but think it might be a good thing to stay mindful of.

Good luck for today everyone and no shame or self-loathing hey? We are all doing something to be proud of, mistakes and the odd mini white twix and all Wink

twinkledag · 11/02/2020 09:44

A great 1st day for me! 3 healthy balanced meals and a couple of snacks. Didn't feel deprived at all and came in under 1000 cals. Not sustainable I know but we have to take these low calorie days where we can 😀

BastardGoDarkly · 11/02/2020 11:04

Morning!
MFP really worked for me yesterday, first time I've tried it, and I was loathe to add any unnecessary snack to it Grin Even turned down cake! Shock

Squeezed in a 15 minute dance workout, then with my steps, I'd burned off 400 cals!

Heres hoping today follows suit, I'm shattered after a late night and early morning, so working out will take some doing.

Onwards all!

DanceDanceDance80 · 11/02/2020 15:02

Hi, can I join please?
I started healthy eating/fasting 2 weeks ago and have lost 2lb so far. I currently weigh 65kg and want to get down to 56kg.
I'm doing a mixture of eating better, will fast 2/3 times a week and have upped my steps to 20 thousand a day
Also doing plank/squats.
What day are you all doing weigh in?

MillieMoodle · 11/02/2020 17:07

Afternoon all! Going quite well today so far. I've had:

B - 2 x weetabix
L - 6 x crackers and cheese
D - will be quorn pepper steak, veg and chips.

No snacks so far and went for a brisk half hour walk at lunch time. I did some sit ups and crunches last night so aiming to do some every night and build up the number I can do.
I have got the 30 day shred dvd which has worked for me in the past but I'm just getting over a cold so absolutely knackered by the evenings, so I might start that at the weekend!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Rowdythree · 11/02/2020 18:08

MFP definitely works for me, it really helps me to focus on what I'm eating rather than mindlessly shovelling food into my mouth!

Today I've been on my feet all day, my friend took me out for lunch though so had more calories than i wanted to have. I'll make up for it at dinner time though and won't have a bun with my veggie burger.

Hope everyone has a good evening

mumoflittlemice · 11/02/2020 21:12

Oooh, I've been go-oo-ood today! Way-hey! Stuck like glue to MFP and came in at just over 1300 kcal on a limit set at 1500.

Happy with that. Smile

Now to stay off the scales for a bit so I don't get disheartened if they haven't budged....

Keep the faith fellow shrinkers

KavvLar · 11/02/2020 21:32

Hurray mumoflittlemice! Well done.

I have done day 2 of the dreaded VLCD - three shakes and a billion litres of water. I have been weeing for England today! Not sustainable long term I know, but it's my best shot at getting the bulk of the weight off. 14 stone 6 and the heaviest I've ever been.

ShabbyNat · 11/02/2020 22:08

Went Slimming World last night & lost 1/2 lb over the last weekSmile
I thought I had gainedSad so was happy

Rowdythree · 11/02/2020 22:23

Well done shabbyNat!

I've been really hungry tonight, glad I'm in bed now Hmm

CoffeeDaydreams · 11/02/2020 22:41

Ooh I will join you all. Signed up for WW online a while ago but haven't got round to starting yet. Have done it before so know what's what but just need to crack on and do it. I will get weighed in the morning but know I have about 4 stone to lose. Have a few things coming up that I need to shift the timber for, so here goes!

mumoflittlemice · 11/02/2020 22:42

Thanks @KavvLarv! And more power to you on your VLCD mission! If it kick starts you and you can hack it for a few days fair play to you, well done!

Great news @ShabbyNat!

I need to get on your exercise bandwagon @MillieMoodle

That’s exactly what I find @Rowdythree and it’s just what I need, since I actually really do like healthy food. I’m just more than happy to shovel everything else down the hatch along with it without even thinking about it Blush

I think it’s going to be Mondays @DanceDanceDance80 Is that right @forevergreen?

Dillydallyontheway · 11/02/2020 22:44

Hi everyone, can I join please? I’m 3 stone overweight and utterly miserable with it. Things need to change but I can’t muster the motivation

EmmaGrundyForPM · 11/02/2020 23:00

Hi everyone
I'd like to join please. I'm 5'5" and weigh 12st 6lbs Blush

I've put a lot of weight on in the last year. I changed job last summer and my job now is much more sedentary and with a longer commute.

I need to lose at least 2 stone - preferably by the end of June as we are going on holiday then.

twinkledag · 11/02/2020 23:02

Slightly over on calories today but was loads under yesterday which balances out I think.

Weighing in on Monday 😀

forevergreen · 12/02/2020 09:33

Morning all, welcome to the newbies.

Well day three today, I've got a banging headache and I am starving.

In a bid to get my shit together, I am going to the dentist this morning. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't been for four years and have since developed an irrational fear. I can't tell you how scared I am. Wish me luck.

Weigh day is on Mondays by the way.

Be good today won't you?

OP posts:
StegosaurusRex · 12/02/2020 09:57

Count me in. I've been in a MH slump since November and I'm really disappointed in how poor my eating habits became and how little exercise I do.

I did a healthy food shop and have been avoiding junk food. Downloaded MFP but haven't been tracking yet as I'm eating stuff I made a while ago that's been in the freezer, too, so I have no idea of calories or anything. I have been enjoying eating only homemade food, so hopefully I can keep it up.

I bought some fancy scales that show body fat %, BMI, muscle mass etc. That was an eye-opener!

Starting work outs every weekend with my PT friend and hoping to get into a daily routine of some exercise besides walking the dogs.

Lost 2.5lb in 5 days, but will join you guys in Monday weigh-ins so I don't obsess over the daily fluctuations

Dillydallyontheway · 12/02/2020 12:42

Good luck at the dentists Forever.
I’ve got off to a good start with porridge for brunch, and weighed in so I can see my exact starting point.
Prepped dinner for tonight: veggie sausage with loads of vegetables and gravy. I find that if I prep dinner early in the day then I don’t tend to cave and eat rubbish instead. If I’m prepping later in the day I’m usually tired and cba so end up just shoving some processed rubbish in the oven instead of cooking a healthy meal

BiscuitMachine · 12/02/2020 18:56

Hi all,
Just checking in. An ok day today:
B: fruit and fibre
L: Tom soup/chees on toast (no butter)
No snacks yet.

I'm still on the train home so I am starving now. This is where it all goes wrong and I eat loads of bad stuff because I'm too hungry to wait until the healthy food is ready.
