I'm sorting my self out, starting from tomorrow.

So fed up with mindlessly eating crap day after day. I'm getting fatter by the week and I've had enough.

I will be weighing myself tomorrow morning.

Please join me.

I'm in. I've joined WW and on the green plan. Was doing well but had a small upset this weekend and have hit the chocolate and didn't exercise as planned.

I want to lose a stone by Easter Smile

Forrandomposts · 09/02/2020 21:46

I started at New Years and have lost almost a stone so far! But I was 16stone to start with! Dream weight is 10stone but right now I'd settle for a size 16 (down from 18/20) so I can enjoy shopping on the high street again!

Naiceandaslice · 09/02/2020 21:53

Oh Christ yes. My shit is scattered to the four winds atm. I need to lose 3 stones, so bloody sick of feeling like this. Only got myself and DP to blame Angry planning on not eating any carbs bar fruit and exercising four times per week. We can do this!

HeartshapedFox · 09/02/2020 21:54

I’m in! I’ve got about 2 stone to lose and just feel fat, frumpy and 40 at the moment. I keep telling myself I’m going to make healthy changes but I haven’t yet, and as someone else said I need a kick up the bum and to be answerable to people!

twinkledag · 09/02/2020 22:02

Thank you @Dontforgetyourbrolly!

xGAIAx · 10/02/2020 04:08

I'm in. I started 4 days ago after a conversation with my neighbour who needs surgery and can't have it because of her weight. It really gave me the fear.

I have 3st to lose and have tried all sorts of different diets, the most recent was 5:2, fasting on a Monday and Thursday but Monday was coming round too quick and I'd promise to do Tuesday but that would fail and I'd wait until the Thursday to start again and the process repeated the following week so I gave up.

I have come to the realisation that calorie counting is the only way even although I hate weighing and measuring food. I downloaded MyFitnessPal and I am bloody determined but it's driving me nuts trying to log food, there never seems to be the right match but I'm sure I'll find it easier as I go on.

I've done 3 days of 1200 kcal and one 1500 kcal and I can feel the difference already although I'm not planning on weighing myself again for a while yet. I am no longer bloated and have more energy so good start.

potoroo · 10/02/2020 06:27

Me too.
I have a wedding in May and I'm refusing to buy a new outfit when I have a very pretty frock already and I just need to shift a few kg to fit back into it.
Thanks for starting this.

BastardGoDarkly · 10/02/2020 06:34

I'm in! I lost 2 stone on SW. Then got complacent and on piled 1.5 🙄

I'll weigh in in half hour.

Going to download MFP and start at least SOME exercise TODAY!!!

Lalalalalalalalaland · 10/02/2020 06:45

Meeeeee!

Saw a picture someone took at an event earlier and i am huge, heavier than I've ever been. 6 stone to lose.

My plan is to eat breakfast! I find this is my downfall and then I'm starving by 10 and eating shit.

Keep myself busy, most snacking is done when i have downtime during the day.

Go to bed earlier, i also snack a lot late at night when kids are in bed, i also go to bed to late and am knackered all the time.

No alcohol midweek.

Dish up my own meals, my other half is 6ft 3 and has a manual job and never puts even a pound on and eats loads and he serves me the same massive portions he serves himself.

Do some excersize! 10,000 steps each day and soem running as DD has started tetrathalon and needs to practice her running more.

Glenthebattleostrich · 10/02/2020 06:53

Good morning team!

The storm kept me awake half the night so I refollowed my quite fit friends on Facebook so I have some inspiration. One crazy one has 4 kids, including one with quite severe additional needs and gets up at 4:30 to run 10k 4 times per week! Also googled lots of low carb recipes so think I'm ready to go.

I am 13 at 9 and my measurements are (in inches):
W 37.5
H 40
B 43
T 23.5

I will run this morning then walk the dog. Also need to dig out my kettle bell.

Food plan today:
B Greek yogurt
L prawn salad
D steak salad.

DH is away until Thursday night so I don't have him twittering at me and bringing in snacks.

Good luck everyone, hope you have all survived the storm! It's horrible out there ☹️

forevergreen · 10/02/2020 07:08

Good morning all and thank you so much for joining me.

I'm currently on my way back from Heathrow, having just picked up my daughter. I was in too much of a rush to weigh myself earlier but I will do it in a bit. I'm scared!

@Glenthebattleostrich good idea to take your measurements. I'm going to do that too.

Will report back.

Good luck to you all.

The storm kept me up too Sad
This time I've realised baby steps works for me. I make a small change every week ( no biscuits , 20 sit ups a day ) then the following week I add another small change.

My belly has shrunk away and that is an incentive for me .
My battery ran out on my scales so I am measuring via my clothes !

Glenthebattleostrich · 10/02/2020 07:20

Thanks for starting this @forevergreen

Hope the drive wasn't to bad. DH is driving to London from Yorkshire today and I'll not relax until he's called to say he's there safely.

forevergreen · 10/02/2020 07:24

@Glenthebattleostrich the drive wasn't too bad, was really windy though and I could feel my car moving about. The roads were really quiet thankfully. I saw lots of trees and fences down.

GoldLeafTree · 10/02/2020 08:24

Hello, I'll join!

Started Slimming World and lost 3.5 stone but struggling recently.

I weighed in this morning, 13st 11lbs. Trying to get to 11st 7lbs for now. I'm 5ft 8.

Onthebrink67 · 10/02/2020 08:50

I’m in 11st 3 and 5ft 1 do could do with losing 3 stone. I’m going to steal the idea of baby steps and just concentrate on no snacking this week. I have a tendency to be over keen at the beginning of diets and then give up. I will do measurements later

BastardGoDarkly · 10/02/2020 08:51

Ok I've downloaded MFP and weighed myself.

I'm 5ft 4 and 10 stone 11.

Would like to lose at least a stone.

Suns out!

NotStayingIn · 10/02/2020 09:09

I’m in. It’s been terrible lately, just eating way to many snacks.

I’m 11 stone 9. Need to be under 11 stone to be a more ideal weight.

twinkledag · 10/02/2020 09:23

I'm 5ft 4 and 11 stone 10.

Would like to get down to 10 stone.

Rowdythree · 10/02/2020 09:52

Just having my breakfast, 40g porridge with blueberries and pumpkin seeds, 248 calories according to mfp.

I'm decorating today so I hope that burns a few calories Grin

Sweetener12 · 10/02/2020 10:01

I'm in for sure! My cheeks are way to big, I need to lose weight or I wouldn't be able to see a single thing while smiling, haha. To stay motivated I used a special software called Photodiva and made my face thinner. I printed the photo out and stuck it to the fridge. That really helps to avoid everything but healthy food.

forevergreen · 10/02/2020 10:26

@Sweetener12 my face is fat too and I've recently developed a double chin. I get a shock every time I look in the mirror.

I seem to carry all the extra weight on my stomach, back and face.
