I'm sorting my self out, starting from tomorrow.

So fed up with mindlessly eating crap day after day. I'm getting fatter by the week and I've had enough.

I will be weighing myself tomorrow morning.

Please join me.

@mumoflittlemice a loss is a loss. You are doing good. Keep at it.

Thanks @forevergreen, feels like blooming hard work Sad.

If I'd been this strict a couple of years ago, the weight would have been dropping off me. Unfortunately between a lengthy period of ill health (indoors, sometimes in bed, barely moving, for several months) and being on HRT for a year, my metabolism has slowed to a glacial pace.

Hey ho, onwards and erm, downwards?! Grin Well done to you though and everyone for keeping coming back, it really helps I think.

We will get there! Smile

maddenlightfoot · 24/02/2020 17:20

Little mice that's frustrating but your positivity will see you through! Are you able to get about a bit more easily now?

I've just had dinner... surprisingly delicious broccoli and courgette soup! I got a soup maker recently so feeling all virtuous that it was all little bits that needed using up in the fridge. And there's enough left over for tomorrow. (Luckily I like it as everyone else is having pizza or curry and have all turned their noses up at my soup 😂)

MillieMoodle · 24/02/2020 18:54

I'm still here! Had a dreadful week food wise and then completely forgot to weigh in this morning, so will do it tomorrow morning instead and report back. Better day today and am back on it with determination! Well done to all you losers WinkGrin

mumoflittlemice · 24/02/2020 20:45

Thanks @maddenlightfoot, yes I am back on my feet again though perhaps not quite up to full speed...

Your soup sounds yummy, I'd have some! Although, on second thoughts, I have eaten so much broccoli these last two weeks, I have become part human, part wind machine Blush so perhaps I'd better hold off for a bit! Grin

WaddiMiss · 24/02/2020 20:56

Hellllllo everyone I have name changed, i was BabyShark, incase anyone was wondering who i was 😁

I was thinking of doing lent and giving up chocolate and biscuits as they are my downfall (i was thinking cake too but i am going to a wedding in a couple of weeks and love wedding cake!). I am hoping it will reset me and curb my craving for chocolate every.damn.day.

Apart from being naughty at nandos i am making small changes. Weigh the same this week but i expected that.

ladygracie · 24/02/2020 22:22

I started today if it’s okay to join. I have 4 stone to lose and am so upset at how much weight I have put on. So no loss this week obviously but I have made a good start and have meals planned for the rest of the week. I’ve been ill recently and am not 100% still so am giving myself this week to properly recover and then will start daily exercise.
I’m so impressed by everyone - you are all doing so well.

DangerMouse17 · 24/02/2020 23:46

Hello all, ive been lurking for a few days and would really love to join if you dont mind.

I've started this week at 164lbs and would like to lose 30lbs as this is what I weighed after my ds was born 9yrs ago Blush

Not only that but I've had a year of illness. Just so many issues and my fitness is horrendous. I used to be super flexible but i can barely touch my toes, partly as my big tum gets in the way. I'm going to be 41 soon and feel like I need to practice some self care (single parent, run ragged for 9yrs).

The time is now and it's for ME!

Today I've had porridge and blueberries for breakie, lentil soup for lunch and a bit of chicken curry and rice (chucked in some spinach etc too). I do need to drink more water tomorrow...

Did some cardio exercise at home, 40mins

forevergreen · 25/02/2020 12:05

Hello @DangerMouse17 and @ladygracie.

Good luck!

DangerMouse17 · 25/02/2020 21:03

Evening all, how have you got on today?
I'm super sore from exercise but it feels good to be making a change!

Really busy day with work and so didnt manage my porridge until about 2pm Confused dinner was a small portion of leftover chicken curry and I made some pancakes for ds....I had two fluffy ones with a bit of peanut butter, banana and straws. Was lovely! Immediately felt sleepy though after all those carbs!!

Going to let all that digest and hopefully about 10.30 I can squeeze in a quick workout, before shower and bed. I should be working on the laptop tonight but cant be bothered...oops!

maddenlightfoot · 25/02/2020 21:57

Danger 10:30 workout 😱 - you're a better woman that me!

I had soup for lunch 😇 then pancakes for tea 🙄. I did stick with lemon juice and a sprinkling of sugar.

I'm weighing each day so I can see the scales edging down, even after a couple of days BUT I've got a staff brunch event on Friday and dinner out with friends on Saturday (followed, I'm sure, by a carby Sunday) so it remains to be seen if a virtuous beginning of the week will outweigh a terrible end!

mumoflittlemice · 25/02/2020 22:07

I had a deliberate treat night tonight; didn’t go nuts, but enjoyed what I had. Figured I have earned it.

Back on the wagon tomorrow and won’t weigh for a long as I can bear it.

Forrandomposts · 26/02/2020 11:30

My weight loss took a weird turn this week which I blame on cinema (popcorn) and friends staying! So I only lost 2 pounds and while a loss is still a loss but I was aiming to be under 200 pounds by the end of Feb which I think I'll just fall short of!

1/1/20 - 225
24/2/20 - 205

xJune88 · 26/02/2020 11:39

I'm in please. Got a stone to loose for a holiday. On maternity leave atm and constantly snacking, munching babies meals and eating too many carbs and no water. Starting today! 2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk for breakfast, butternut squash soup for lunch, snack a Jack's for snacks but no more than 2 and a healthy tea later on and will try drink ALOT of water, hoping to stick below 1200cals a day. And try to walk more with baby and dog.

maddenlightfoot · 26/02/2020 20:21

Ho hum, another evening of no snacks ☹️. Rice cakes and hummus for lunch, poached eggs on toast for dinner. I need to drink more water and get some decaf tea for the evenings.

mumoflittlemice · 26/02/2020 21:00

Successful re-boarding of the wagon today, so I’m happy with that Smile Can be tricky after a few treats not to let them turn into a landslide.

Fantastic start @xJune88! Go easy with dieting hard with a small baby, especially if your bf. but even if you’re not. Been there, and sleep deprivation (if that is a feature for you - it was for me!), plus restricted calories is a lethal combination. Take care and go gently, baby weight will come off Wink

20lbs off since NY @Forrandomposts?! Phenomenal!!

twinkledag · 26/02/2020 22:36

Lost 1.5lbs this week so very pleased with that! 😊

xJune88 · 27/02/2020 07:15

Thankyou @mumoflittlemice I dont really have an excuse how shes 9 months old haha not breastfeeding but defo sleep deprived! Failed day one already oh dear. Will try again today 🤦🏼‍♀️it's the bloody snacking!

ColleysMill · 27/02/2020 19:49

Sorry fell off the thread after a difficult weekend.

Good news is Im down another 2 pounds so hit the target I orginally had in my mind although really i need to aim for another stone to get to healthy BMI.

So today I joined a gym Grin to see if i can shift that last stone and try and tone up a bit. Been years since Ive been a gym member and id forgotten how much i used to enjoy it!

mumoflittlemice · 27/02/2020 22:17

Well today went a bit wrong. Not exactly a disaster but not great.

Tired.

Hungry.

Cheesed off and feel like I’m getting nowhere fast.

Sorry folks, glum tonight Sad

maddenlightfoot · 27/02/2020 22:26

It must be a night for it... I've done well all day - mackerel for lunch, soup for dinner, had finished eating by 6pm. But then the munchies struck and I've just eaten a plate of cheese and crackers.

On the bright side... it's not chocolate 😇

mumoflittlemice · 27/02/2020 22:39

Unnecessary Wotsits, a couple of superfluous buttered rice cakes and sneaky mayo with my dinner, plus a sly G&T here @maddenlightfoot

Not exactly trifle on toast but all over my planned calories and all because I was feeling meh and got my meals and timing in a pickle.

Tried to have a crappy and too small lunch which predictably led to disaster later in the afternoon and by the evening I was in f**k it mode.

Tomorrow is another day and I shall be coming at it armed with eggs for breakfast! Grin

DangerMouse17 · 28/02/2020 00:41

Its 12.30 and I'm not asleep yet Sad

I've had a crazy busy day, working from 8am to 11.45pm...just non stop. Had my lovely porridge for breakie and then a chippy tea! Confused although I mainly ate the fish and only had about 10 chips. I was so tired by that point and succumbed! I'm going to do some cardio in the morning to make up for it and get back on track again.

Sounds like a mixed bag from you all today...some success and a few slips like mine ha! I guess the odd slip is fine, it happens and it's really just about making progress the next day...and getting some consistency going!

forevergreen · 28/02/2020 06:06

Morning everyone.

I'm at Geneva waiting to fly home. I went to see my daughter unexpectedly for a couple of days who is poorly with mumps. She wanted her mother!

Diet has gone completely out of the window for me. Massive damage has been done.

I seriously need to get my shit back together.

OP posts:
mumoflittlemice · 28/02/2020 07:54

Hey @ @forevergreen it’s ok, you’ll get it back together just like the rest of us. Mumps is so awful, your poor daughter and you where there for her. What a wonderful mummy ☺️

Think of it as ‘the Geneva episode’ and draw a line Wink

Safe travels Smile
