2 for me, I've lost 1/2 so far

SunshineAvenue · 22/01/2020 08:21

I've been doing the Fast800 nakedavengeragain and I think for those with a lot to lose 10-14lbs in the first month is fairly common. It won't be like this every month!

weehoo · 22/01/2020 08:27

I've hit a bit of a plateau

Started on 2/1 at 84.4kg
Been stuck fast at 81.7 for the last few days

Am in a good routine now with food, having cut down massively on sugar/carbs and eat 2 meals a day with plenty of water.

However, my lifestyle is very sedentary most days and have limited options for exercise. Can see from my Fitbit that I definitely need to burn off more calories.

My resting HR continues to drop though - down to 65 from 77 at start of month and my quality of sleep has improved lots!

I'll try and improve things today by fitting in an hour of walking

nakedavengeragain · 22/01/2020 08:29

Fast 800 here too @SunshineAvenue! Not as good losses as you but getting there.

SW: 13 stone 3lbs (1/1/20)
CW: 12 stone 6lbs

Sjanish33 · 22/01/2020 10:04

@SunshineAvenue that's an amazing loss in three weeks - well done you! And a new stone bracket whoop!

Sjanish33 · 22/01/2020 10:07

And then the page updated and I didn't see all the new posts - you are all rocking it!

I would be happy with half a stone in January - and I'm nearly there at 6.8 off last week, I feel like I've lost this week too but I can't be sure - I'll weigh tomorrow. Well done everyone !

Sjanish33 · 23/01/2020 08:02

Weigh-in Day
SW: 89kg
Week 1: 87kg
Week 2: 85.9kg
Week 3: 85.4kg

Just 1lb off this week which I'm a little disappointed by because I felt lighter - and I was very careful but a loss is a loss!

theweightlossone · 23/01/2020 08:09

Well done everyone! We are smashing this!

Weighed this morning again and I’m still the same as yesterday. This NEVER happens!

SunshineAvenue · 23/01/2020 08:21

This thread is really helping so thanks all for keeping it going.

I'm doing dry January and have an app which tells you the health benefits as you go along and it's very encouraging. Is there a similar app for weight loss? There are plenty of apps that log calories and count down the pounds but are there any that tick off health benefits as you lose weight?

Howdidweenduphere · 23/01/2020 10:50

Hi! Late to the party but would love to join. I'm 40 later this year and I'm aiming for 40 off by 40! I'm 5'6 and currently 14.13 which is way too much. I'm naturally heavy..was 10.10 on my wedding day but wore a size 10. People are always shocked by my weight. Anyway, I'm doing noom. 3lb off in 3 weeks..not great! But will persevere. Looking forward to following everyone's success Smile

CarrotVan · 23/01/2020 11:31

Room for another (slightly larger than she should be) one?

Just turned 40, on antidepressants, crazy busy but mostly sedentary life and have put on a stone and a half in the last year.

5' 6" and 11 st 11 this morning. Really want to be back in the range of 9 st 10 - 10 st 3

Zero exercise time and too much wine due to crazy stress load

Seriously considering Fast 800. I did well on a gestational diabetes diet of low, low carbs and lots of protein with DS2 (now 3yo)

CarrotVan · 23/01/2020 11:37

@Howdidweenduphere What is Noom like?

Howdidweenduphere · 23/01/2020 12:38

Hi carrot, it's basically calorie counting but has a tracker for red yellow and green foods too, to help you try and make the best choices! There are daily articles and quizzes to help you try and understand the psychology of overeating etc which I've found useful as I'm a massive snacker!! You also get a coach who you can message with and he has given me some ideas. The jury is still out for me as I haven't lost much..but I've paid so am sticking! First two weeks is free trial though.

Howdidweenduphere · 23/01/2020 12:51

Can anyone help with the trauma of having to give your son and daughter all the nice foods? Full fat cheese etc? This my downfall I'm such a picker! Need my jaw wired Grin

CarrotVan · 23/01/2020 13:02

What sort of costs thereafter? I'm a cheapskate...

Howdidweenduphere · 23/01/2020 13:50

I've paid £87.20 for 6 months. Not cheap but I'm sure that's less than I paid at sw a few years back...

Sjanish33 · 23/01/2020 15:09

@Howdidweenduphere that's pretty reasonable price-wise.
As to the snacking, it's so easy to just try, isn't it? When I cook for others I have to stop myself trying soups, licking spoons, etc - Having said that there's nothing wrong with full-fat cheese but in moderation (for weight loss) I weigh out a matchbox-sized amount and it will go far grated on an omelet or whatever, also maybe some apple slices or a few (again small amount of...) walnuts to cut the cravings and because they have protein they do stave off the hunger.

SunshineAvenue · 24/01/2020 17:57

Yesterday was a real struggle for me, I went over calories but managed to keep 'on plan'. I really really wanted something junky or sugary and had to really focus on holding it together. I felt pretty low yesterday which goes to show how I often self medicate with food.

It's so hard to not 'medicate' knowing that it will (albeit) briefly give you some kind of release.

Anyway I survived and on the plus side my appetite has been pretty low today.

How's everyone getting on today?

nakedavengeragain · 24/01/2020 18:57

Delighted to say I've hit a stone loss in January. After a frustrating plateau last week the pounds were dropping off daily. Mainly as I moved to OMAD and a tonne of water.

SW: 13st 3lbs (1/1/20)
CW: 12st 2lbs

Keep going everyone! It's the only way to do it!

Sjanish33 · 24/01/2020 19:27

That's amazing @Nakedavengeragain well done! Sunshine..I feel a bit of a struggle today and yesterday and the thing is I have stuck to the calories and exercise, I just feel bloated for some reason. I know the feeling when you just want to sit down and like you say medicate with food. But I haven't done it yet and for some reason, I still feel fat and frumpy Hmm

nakedavengeragain · 24/01/2020 19:50

@Sjanish33 I felt that way last week. Went within 24 hours when I loaded up with water and it took a while load of lbage with it

SunshineAvenue · 24/01/2020 22:13

Great news! nakedavengeragain

I also still feel fat and frump Sjanish but I went for a walk today and felt so much lighter on my feet so that's something

weehoo · 25/01/2020 09:39

Finally some more weight loss!

Started the month at 84.4kg
Today I'm 81.1kg
That's 2lb off this week and 7.5lb in total

I'm generally quite strict now, but once a week I have a meal where I eat what I want, then get back to regular/healthy eating. This week it was sausage, egg, chips and a massive cake afterwards. I enjoy it and don't feel a shred of guilt

theweightlossone · 25/01/2020 09:41

Amazing everyone well done!

A stone Shock

Quemug · 26/01/2020 08:39

Morning all,

So I’ve lost 3.1kg (6.8lb) in my first week doing this.

Well done everyone else on your weight losses. Look forward to the week ahead.
