Is anyone using the my fatsecret app?
Like to pair up ?
My calories are advised at 2100 per day which I predict is way too high for me to lose.
I've been at it a week and tried to keep under 1500. My exericise is limited to yoga and swimming due to injury. Oh and I haven't weighed myself at all as don't have scales or been anywhere wirh them.

Lostintransfixation · 26/01/2020 15:00

I'm trying to get back in the wagon after falling off this week (I'm blaming PMS for my chocolate habit)... Anyway, DH has just started MFP and is doing brilliantly EnvySad He gets 1000 calories a day more than me. I came home yesterday and had made a lovely meal for me that was 900 cals. I think I might just have to cook and eat separately...

theweightlossone · 26/01/2020 15:04

Anyone feel a difference in clothes or anything yet?

Sjanish33 · 26/01/2020 18:13

Hi everyone I hope the weekend is going well - I managed to just about stick under the 1200 calories Friday and Saturday even with a couple of glass of red wine imbibed. (though added in my exercise for those two days)

The bloated feeling seems to have lifted and I am beginning to see that I've lost weight. Clothes are much looser @theweightlossone!

I don't know how accurate MFP is but it says I will be 12 stone 7 in 5 weeks! I would be delighted at that. I haven't weighed since Thursday and I'm back now to my Sunday through to Friday not eating after 5.30 pm and keeping calories less than 1200 and not including the exercise I do on its readings.

It's a plan that seems to be working for me.

EdnaMole · 26/01/2020 21:59

Rather late to the party, but can I join please? You ladies all seem so positive and motivated, exactly what I need right now!
Age 51, peri menopausal, on anti depressants and an emotional eater. 5’7” and 15.10. Start most days with “healthy diet breakfast” then always come unstuck about 4-5pm... trying to do more exercise but just feeling exhausted a lot of the time. Need some “oomph” (And someone to come round and smack my hand when I reach for the biscuits!!) Crown Grin

theweightlossone · 27/01/2020 07:42

Good luck for this week everyone.

I’m not weighing again until Wednesday but feeling impatient.

nibdedibble · 27/01/2020 11:48

I've only lost 3lbs since starting but that's with minimal exercise (life getting in the way tbh).

Idly wondering if there's a C25k equivalent for the exercise bike, that would be amazing frankly.

Aprilcherry04 · 27/01/2020 12:34

Sw 13st 5lb
13/1/20 13st 4lb
20/1/20 13st 3lb
27/1/20 13st 2lb
I'm happy with that. Hope to do a little better this week with some light exercise and drinking more water

stclair · 27/01/2020 12:44

Can I join too, please? Like @ednamole I become unstuck before dinner (in fact I posted about this this morning asking for hints to stop doing it!). By the way, regarding you being peri menopausal and on anti depressants (this may be totally unrelated of course so forgive me if so) I’ve just read an article in today’s daily telegraph about that very thing!

I’m 47, 175cm, 76.1kg and fed up with losing and gaining the same few kgs. Totally fed up!! I’m generally healthy, apart from weekends and pick pick picking before dinner Blush! I’m a big size 14 and need to be at least a small one.

SunshineAvenue · 27/01/2020 13:06

I'm not weighing til Wednesday either which is just as well considering last night's carb fest dinner. Shitty weekend and I took refuge in a huge bowl of pasta last night on top of having bread and chocolate earlier in the day (only small amounts though). Was going to have chicken soup but thought fuck it, I've lost a stone so far I can bloody we'll have one bowl of pasta. Back on it today.

Not noticing much of a difference in my clothes at the moment though to be fair I am mostly in non-gym gym gear and tracks bottoms. I have one pair of trousers that I wear when I'm working and they seem a little bit looser. My dressing gown seems to wrap over a tiny bit further iyswim?

theweightlossone · 27/01/2020 18:53

Haha Sunshine I like the idea of measuring weight loss with your dressing down! I live in mine.

I’ve had a bit of an upset tummy today so have only had a couple of cereal bars and some dry toast. Will hopefully manage dinner later.

theweightlossone · 27/01/2020 22:11

Oh ladies if I’ve not lost at least 2lb today with this stomach I’ll be raging Envy

SunshineAvenue · 29/01/2020 05:21

Fuck it just lost my post.

The jist of it was

SW: 14st 13lbs
CW: 13st 11.8
Total loss: 15.8lbs

Tired, hungry and annoyed (why am I up so bloody early again?) BUT happy with the downward trajectory. Quarter of the way to goal!

Ihavenoidewhatsgoingon · 29/01/2020 06:32

I have completely fallen off the wagon due to birthdays etc

Will get back on it now as I need to lose some weight

Well done everyone for sticking to it an losing so much! You are inspiring me xx

theweightlossone · 29/01/2020 07:46

Another 2lb off for me.

01/01/20 11.13
29/01/20 11.03

Soooooo badly want a whole stone in Jan but it’s not going to happen :(

Well done everyone and keep posting. This thread is so helpful.

Sjanish33 · 29/01/2020 17:48

Great losses to youse this week! Sunshine I can understand the hunger/hanger :) but 15lbs!! Wow - The weightlossone. 10lb is fab for January (I'd happily take that!)

I weigh tomorrow - I don't feel I've lost at all but I'll see then. Feeling fuller easier - which is good!

EdnaMole · 29/01/2020 18:21

Well done to all those who have lost! I’m not weighing again until next Monday - not been a bad week so far but it’s hard trying to retrain my brain not to reach into the biscuit tin or munch a packet of crisps when I’m stressed!

Quemug · 29/01/2020 18:23

Well done Sunshine and theweightlossone - 15lb and 10lb loss is excellent!

NotPawPatrolAgain · 29/01/2020 18:47

Can I join?! It will be about the 8th thread I have joined over the years and never got anywhere!
I'm 16 stone 8lb, 5ft 6in. I would love love love to get to 14 stone to start with, by summer, and then maybe another stone for Christmas. I would like to stick to low carb as I have PCOS, and am looking for an overhaul of eating habits rather than dieting. I will try and weight in on Mondays.
X

Fedupwithmyhouse · 29/01/2020 19:03

Thank you!

Good luck to those weighing soon.

NotPaw I think your target is doable by summer for sure!!

Sjanish33 · 29/01/2020 19:24

@NotPawPatrolAgain - Welcome - 2 Stone is definitely doable - I was almost 2 stone heavier last August - It's a nice timescale - low carb is suiting me - not sure about the low calorie because I seem to be losing very slowly, but then I'm perimenopausal and at that age where I don't actually need too many calories (Even if my body wants them) - Best of luck in your journey

NotPawPatrolAgain · 29/01/2020 21:52

Thanks all!! I have to do it this year!

theweightlossone · 30/01/2020 07:26

Hmm another THREE off for me since yesterday apparently. Taking total loss since 01/01/20 to 13lbs. Funny how I don’t mind the daily changes when they’re down the way ones Grin

I think it’s mostly to do with the fact that everything I’ve eaten this week has come straight back through me almost immediately but if it works!

Won’t weigh again till Wednesday. MUST NOT WEIGH AGAIN TILL WEDNESDAY. And will count that as my total loss for January.

Keep going all!!! And good luck to those starting out. I’m still having chocolate every single day.

Sjanish33 · 30/01/2020 08:22

SW: 89kg
CW: 85.3kg

As I suspected not much movement this week - bringing the loss for January to 3.7kg which is 8lb - I'm not unhappy with that at all. I did let the hair down a bit last weekend so I'm probably lucky to have a loss even if it's tiny.

Here's to February for more of the same or better! :)

theweightlossone · 31/01/2020 17:05

I fell off the wagon last night and had a takeaway! But first and only one this month. Normal service resumes.
