I've been out for afternoon tea with a friend and have really gone to town (probably eaten 2 days worth of calories), back to it tomorrow, fresh month etc.

Sjanish33 · 31/01/2020 20:30

You two aren't the only ones - I am nursing a UTI in pain all day and feeling miserable juat polished off a big ice-cream -

I'm a firm believer in being able to treat ourselves once I'm conscious about what I eat 80% of the time - February tomorrow and I'll be back being better :)

SunshineAvenue · 01/02/2020 09:18

That's the thing isn't it? Getting back on the horse. This is where I've gone wrong so many times, done well for a couple of weeks and then had a weekend away or a big night out and thought well I've ruined it now and carried on with the mindless eating until I've got to that point again where I've felt so awful I scramble back on the horse. Such silly thinking and deep down just an excuse to allow myself to make bad choices and prolong the agony.

No more of that.

theweightlossone · 01/02/2020 09:42

Yes I’m the same. Usually if I have a bad day I’ll be like oh well there’s no point now! But nope, now I can have a bad day and just move straight back to a good day the next :)

nibdedibble · 01/02/2020 12:43

I'm doing so badly. The three pounds seemed to go right back on. I'm going to up my exercise dramatically, up my water, and I got the free month trial of MFP to really honestly track what I eat. It suggests 1330 calories for me and I find that do-able. I seem to be going up in weight (apart from this month where I've really tried) at the rate of about two or three pounds a month which just cannot continue, everything hurts me now and I look completely unlike myself. What a pain.

Sjanish33 · 01/02/2020 16:44

Don't be too hard on yourself @nibedibble - 1300 is doable I'm having 1300 today and my dinner includes fish, with potato gratin & broccoli - it feels like a real treat - as I only had 1 potato in the whole of January!
I feel it's hard too as the weight moves very slowly so this month I'm going to try two IF days (Sunday & Monday) this is courtesy of some packs I have leftover from a VLCD so it will be two days of between 600-800 calories - I'm hoping that will help me regain some control as I have been waivering.

theweightlossone · 01/02/2020 16:50

I’m on 1300 a day and find it really manageable. Often I don’t even get to 1300.

Mimosa1 · 01/02/2020 18:13

I'd love to join in. I'm in the Lc boot camp but it's going to take me longer than the next 5 weeks sniff to get to goal. My children are far too old me to be able to claim the baby weight excuse and a stressful new job with lots of travel have caused me to gain 10kg in under a year.

Do you guys have a regular weigh in date? I'm currently weighing in at 78.5kg and I'd like to be 63kg.

SunshineAvenue · 01/02/2020 18:23

Hi Mimosa1 I think we all do different things on here and weigh in different days (Wednesday for me) so all welcome. I've lost a stone and have another 3 to go so will be here a while.

Sjanish33 · 01/02/2020 18:41

Welcome @mimosa1 - we almost have the same target - I'm a bit further away so I'll be here for a while too :) - I weigh on a Thursday.

DivisionBelles · 01/02/2020 18:43

Not a bad month. I'm using Nutracheck as I find it geared more towards UK foods and supermarkets. It does cost £3.99 a month, but I'm not wasting a fiver a week at SW now.

SW 13.12
CW 13.3

9lbs lost, but I did have a blip last week and put on 3lbs again. Fortunately they seem to have gone now. Aiming for half a stone in Feb.

Mimosa1 · 01/02/2020 23:35

Thanks @Sjanish33 and @SunshineAvenue . I've been weighing on Mondays per type bootcamp so i'll carry on. I find the weekends a struggle so it's quite motivating Smile

SunshineAvenue · 02/02/2020 08:10

Holy fuck, completely lost it yesterday and ate 3 giant heavily decorated chocolate muffins that DD made. Not in one go but over the course of an afternoon and evening 😬.

Started off virtuously with half (they were 450 calories each) then a whole one as dessert. Ok fine, not too bad but then another half because well why not and then before bed another whole one. Completely unnecessary, who eats a muffin before they go to bed? Basically a whole days calories in those muffins and total calories for the day 2,200ish. Far too much and on top of my afternoon tea day it doesn't bode well for the weigh in on Wednesday.

Oh well. I just need to draw a line under it and carry on (but definitely no muffins for me today).

SunshineAvenue · 02/02/2020 08:12

Haha my post from 9.08 yesterday about mindless eating and getting back on the horse. Yep, got back on it, fell right off. Lol.

Sjanish33 · 02/02/2020 10:34

I'm doing my two intermittent fasting days today and tomorrow instead of it being a kickstart to the month's weight-loss it's more to make-up for the disastrous weekend of eating I had!

So I know how you feel @SunshineAvenue!

I was so on the plan as well, but sure these things happen - I'm blaming it on feeling under the weather - But yep I may have to chase the horse around the garden but I'll be back on it too :)

riverbat · 02/02/2020 11:19

Can I join? Starting weight 86kg (mid January) and want to lose approx 20kg eventually, but first goal is to get back to a healthy bmi (77kg). Current weight 82kg so officially a loss of 4kg so far but think a lot of that was water.

theweightlossone · 02/02/2020 20:27

Still not feeling 100%.

Had a massive dinner tonight out but it was all I had today so I’m not worrying too much!

Weighing on Wednesday as usual.

Hope you’re all doing ok.

Sjanish33 · 02/02/2020 20:47

Same here @theweightlossone - I'm considering the Dr in the morning still feeling crappy and miserable - had a very light day just over 800 calories so I finished the weekend better than I started it.

Welcome @riverbat we also have a similar goal - I'm 84.8kg after January losses and hoping to get to the 60's - that's a great loss so far!!

theweightlossone · 02/02/2020 20:51

Is it upset stomach for you too sjanish? That’ll be a week tomorrow for me, good for the weight loss but not much else!

Sjanish33 · 02/02/2020 21:18

No @theweightlossone a UTI - (which makes me feel like comfort eating) that's nasty feeling ill all week - hope you feel better soon.

SheepSocks · 02/02/2020 21:44

Hi ladies, I accidentally did some IF over the last week. One was Thursday, the other today. Are the days supposed to be together?

I realistically think I can do it on Thursday and Fridays, but it would be great if I could have more flexibility.

Aprilcherry04 · 03/02/2020 09:07

Sw 13st 5lb
13/1/20 13st 4lb
20/1/20 13st 3lb
27/1/20 13st 2lb
3/2/20 12st 13.5lb
Really pleased this week. Glad to be into the 12 stones !

Sjanish33 · 03/02/2020 12:20

@Aprilcherry04 that's brilliant!! @SheepSocks I don't think you have to do the two days together - (I remain to be corrected though) I normally do just for handiness sakes - I find they are hard days though as the calories go so low but lots of water see me through - I pick Sunday and Monday because I don't work either day.

mich93 · 03/02/2020 16:08

me! i weighted 13.1 at the start of the year, i managed to loose a stone in jan so two more to go!

theweightlossone · 03/02/2020 16:39

Hope you’re feeling a bit better today sjanish!

Well done on the losses April!

I honestly don’t think it can matter when you do them. It’s all about the total calorie intake for tne week anyway isn’t it?

I’ve got a delicious looking cottage pie in the oven for dinner. Coming in at over 500 calories per portion but it’ll be worth it! When I’m putting calories for a meal into Nutracheck I always set the serving number to 3 to account for the kids probably having a third between them and a third each for OH and I. Can’t think of a more technical or accurate way to do it!
