Just that really. How the fuck did I get this big! I've always been on the chubby side, but at 5"9 I pulled it down off.

Fuck. Where do I even start

Happy weekend, everyone :) I had a Chinese last night and the scales show a 0.8kg increase this morning! Sooo salty :)

Overall, though, I'm still losing 2lbs a week, fairly consistently. I can feel how my stomach has adapted to smaller portions too- I was on a course last week and we had a proper lunch of roast beef, potatoes and veg, plus a pudding. Before, I would have just wolfed it all down and been hungry for snacks a little while later. Now, I was too full to finish the pudding and was not hungry at dinner time.

I hope you're all doing okay. @Couch25k, doesn't a bit of sunshine make a difference when you're running? I'm doing W9R2 today and hoping the grey skies cheer up a bit.

I second attending and staying to a weight group. I really benefit from hearing similar experiences and picking up ‘top tips’; have made ‘group friends’ so I turn up to encourage and support and receive in return. Like the group lead too.

@Bingeslayer, welcome! I’ve not used map my walk before. Does it use your phone gps?

@frustratedashell, well done :) All these losses add up over time. Keep on going!

I’m feeling into a rhythm now- this feels like my life, rather than a fad or phase. I’m back at work full time, having a routine breakfast and lunch and sticking to my 1880 calorie allowance for food. Fitbit says I burn around 3000 a day, as long as I do 30 mins exercise and get around 10k steps in total. I’m down another 2lbs on my weekly average and hoping to see 112kgs tomorrow. Can’t wait to be under 100kgs!

Start by having a relistic goal. Aim to lose 7lb, then pat on the back and make another goal. Do not make a time frame for this, it could be only half a pound a week , just aim for drip losing, and consistent. Good luck and well done for weighing in

Hello all. I've not been posting regularly but to update.... Am still vegan (did it for January and it's stuck) and now 8.5lbs down this year, 16lbs down overall. Feeling good and enjoying food, got into a nice little routine and prepping lots Smile

Woo hoo, well done @motherofawhirlwind! I’m feeling very productive by actually making and taking lunch to work. I used to either skip lunch and eat loads after work instead, or grab junk from the corner shop. Saving me a fortune too!

@ringletsandtwiglets prepping is the key.... Made gardeners pie at the weekend and a massive vat of soup so just grabbing a box of each out of the fridge each morning, couple bits of snacking veg / fruit, done.

Put on a pound this week but I've not done any exercise and been a bit poorly for a couple of days , so that's fine

I hope you’re feeling better, @frustratedashell.

I’ve finished Couch to 5k today, so feeling chuffed. Another 2lbs down this week too.

I’m a bit worried about the whole Coronavirus this, as I am diabetic and have a heart condition. Schools are still open, so I either need to say I’m not prepared to go to work at school, or go and risk it. No confirmed cases in my catchment area, though.

Fingers crossed you’re all doing okay. Xxx

@ringletandtwiglets hi,yes works by GPS and links to my fitness pal,I started on Monday alongside 16:8 intermittent fasting.Finding the fasting really helps cut cravings and haven't binged once all week.Actually finding it difficult to eat all my calories in the 8 hrs as waiting til hungry to eat,so only managing 1200 cals which isn't great when I have so much to lose but don't want to just eat for the sake of it which is what got me in this mess in the first place.I've lost 7lbs in 6 days (now 17st 11.5 )but understand most of this will be water weight.
Mostly happy not to be obsessed by food and binging constantly.

Put on a pound this week. But been quite lax with portion control. Trying to do more exercise and less snacking this week.

Glad you're on the mend, @frustratedashell :)

After the updated advice yesterday, I am now working from home, potentially for up to 12 weeks. I only returned work 7 weeks ago after 6 months off, so it's a little frustrating. I know I'm at higher risk if I keep going to work around hundreds of children and their parents every day.

The plus side is that I'm already on 12k steps for today!

Hi all, binged twice this week, (coronavirus stress and kids had sickness bug so been off school) but not as bad as normal binges and still just under 2000 cals and being honest recording it all. Will be harder now kids will be off school, they drive me to eat instead of drink lol.But hope to keep plugging away slowly.
Keep safe.

ringletsandtwiglets · 19/03/2020 07:47

@Bingeslayer, well done for recording it honestly. 2000 isn’t even that much! Can you get the kids involved with menu planning?

I’m celebrating a non-scale victory today. I’ve worn a chunky silver ring that Mr Twiglets got me 12 years ago on my right hand ring finger. Yesterday, it nearly flew down a drain after it fell off my finger, so I’ve moved it to my middle finger AND IT FITS PERFECTLY! Weird to think that even my fingers are less fat, but it feels amazing. ❤️❤️❤️

Congratulations on the ring fitting @ringletsandtwiglets.

Another 1lb on today. I'm really struggling at the moment now that the dc are home. Am eating healthy stuff but constantly snacking and doing hardly any exercise.

Well done Ringlets. I'm weighing tomorrow. No gym at all this week but have bought some dumbbells and am exercising at home. I've been pretty good food wise

Lost 1.75 lbs, dead chuffed!

@frustratedashell, that's brilliant!! Well done. I love it when you can see the results from your hard work.

I had a few too many treats at the start of the week, so my weight has been a bit static, but starting to go down again from today. I'm stuck to my laptop and phone all day working from home, so it's been hard to keep my steps up and fit in enough exercise.
