Just that really. How the fuck did I get this big! I've always been on the chubby side, but at 5"9 I pulled it down off.

Fuck. Where do I even start

@frustratedashell, do you have kitchen scales? Go weigh out a pound of sugar. Look at how much that is! You’ve done brilliantly, AND you’re still going.

frustratedashell · 13/01/2020 20:49

Ringletsandtwiglets thank you! Good point!

blubberball · 13/01/2020 21:42

Good luck everyone! I'm weighing myself tomorrow after making a few changes the last couple of weeks.

I can't afford to join a gym or anything, so have been doing workouts I find on YouTube.

ringletsandtwiglets · 13/01/2020 23:07

@blubberball, I love YouTube workouts! Have you found any good ones?

These two are my go-to ones. All standing, mostly low impact.

Greysparkles · 16/01/2020 07:59

Checking in with all you guys! Hope your all well and still on track. 2ln off this week for me 🎉

Definitely Slimming World.

I also recommend a book called The Kindness Method to help you get to the root cause of your eating habits so the weight doesn’t creep back on in the future.

You got this Flowers

Another one with a big loss to hit 😞

At 5”10, I got down to 13 stone spring last year-with stacks of exercise too I was lean, toned & a size 10, 15 months after topping in at almost 22 stone when pregnant with DS1
I then got pregnant, really unwell with it & now DS2 is two weeks old, weigh in at 19st 8.5, goal of 12st 7, so 7st 1.5lb to go. I still eat well and work out during pregnancy I Just seem to balloon.

Currently permanently starving courtesy of feeding the baby, but trying to eat balanced and sensibly. I went back to spinning classes tonight after 2.5 weeks off. Going to give it another week & then start counting the calories & restricting to 1,700.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend ❤️

elliejjtiny · 20/01/2020 12:29

5lb gone this week Grin

peachgreen · 20/01/2020 12:36

Can I join in? Have been overweight all of my adult life but 2 years on from the birth of my daughter (and PND) I'm at an all-time high and if I want to have another baby and live to see my kids grow up I need to sort myself out. So this is a life-long change for me. Am doing 16:8 and calorie counting, aiming for 1200-1400 calories a day with one cheat evening at the weekend. I've done calorie counting a couple of times successfully in the past but have always gone for a lower allowance of 1000 cals which has led to me falling off the wagon (post-wedding and post-baby) so I'm hoping this more achievable target will help me to keep going long-term.

Stats:
Height: 5'8''
Starting weight (10/01/2020): 21st 4lbs
Current weight: 21st 1lb
Jan target: 20st10lbs
2020 target: 5st
Overall target: 9st

I have PCOS so weight loss is a little bit slower for me than I'd like but still achievable.

Greysparkles · 20/01/2020 12:40

Well done @elliejjtiny that fantastic!!

Welcome peach I really recommend looking up team rh on facebook and watching a couple of the videos, they explain alot about calorie counting which may help you, also their very funny!

I'm due my period, and I know in my head that the 3lb I've gained overnight is just from that and will fall off in a few days but I need to not sabotage myself here!!

Lost 1.5lbs this week, pleased with that

frustratedashell · 26/01/2020 21:21

How are you all doing? I've lost another 2lbs this week, making 8lbs in total. Very happy with that.

elliejjtiny · 26/01/2020 22:42

Well done @frustratedashell.

I've lost another 2lb this week

Sweetooth92 · 26/01/2020 22:49

@frustratedashell go you! Sounds like your making great progress.
Weighed in today at 19 3.6lb-so down 5lb in a week and a half.
Hoping to end the month in the 18’s but I feel that’s a bit optimistic

MyFamilyAndOtherAnimals1 · 26/01/2020 22:56

Tape measure and throw out all of the processed food from your kitchen. Focus on drinking enough water and eating your 5 a day. At your height and weight, by making a small change in lifestyle - it'll fall off!

Couch25k · 27/01/2020 07:34

Morning. Monday is weigh day for me. Another 2lb off this week. Drinking 3l a day has so helped and increasing my walking.

Total loss from 1 Jan 2019 (took a break over the summer) is now 2 stone 7lbs! Very happy with this Cake

blubberball · 27/01/2020 08:19

@ ringletsandtwiglets Thanks! I will check those out. I've just been doing different ones each time, but I quite like a channel called Psychetruth. There's a mixture of everything and plenty for beginners.

blubberball · 27/01/2020 08:20

Well done Couch25k Flowers

Keep going everyone! My weigh in is tomorrow. I hope that it's gone down! 😬

Zebracat · 27/01/2020 22:46

May I join you? I weighed 106.5 kilos last week, 104 .4 yesterday, but I have very little faith in my scales. I think that is nearly 17 stone. I am 5 ft 7. According to BMI, I have about 7 stone, or42 kilos to lose, which is depressing. I am going to set smaller goals, Like Getting under 100 kilos, having my clothes fit, not being pre diabetic. I lost 15 kilos in 2017, put half back on in 2018, under very stressful circs, then the other half after stopping smokingat the end of 2018. Spent most of last year trying and failing to get back on track. Realised that I just have to do it because otherwise it will keep going up and I will ruin my health.
I am counting calories, upping activity, eating good food and from today trying the 16:8 thing. I’m starving!
I know this sounds delusional, but I think I weigh quite heavy, no one ever believes me when I tell them, my weight. I have big bosoms and a belly, but otherwise quite an athletic build, I m not fleshy, and get to lean at about 80 kilos? Does anyone else have that?

DecemberSnow · 27/01/2020 22:50

Try not to diet.... You will pile it back on

Just cut out the crap and get your butt moving

(I need to take this advice, I'm over 18 stone)

DecemberSnow · 27/01/2020 22:51

According to my doctor...
I need to lose 10 stone.....

Zebracat · 27/01/2020 23:31

How much do you think? I’d be happy with 3 stone.

Zebracat · 27/01/2020 23:34

When I say counting calories, that’s a lie, I have more portion control and I have cut out the crap. But I am quite good at guesstimates, and it’s a lot less than I was having before.

ringletsandtwiglets · 29/01/2020 09:24

I've been feeling a bit disheartened by what I considered to be quite slow weight loss. I am diabetic and have PCOS, so I've been warned it will be a bit more difficult to lose it, but I guess I was hoping for some miracle Blush

However, I've just looked back to the 1st Jan and I've lost 12lbs since then!

My Fitbit scales are great at holding me to account, because they automatically upload to the app on my phone. Before I had them, I'd only record my weight if it registered a loss, so any gain felt like failure. I'm starting to see the whole 'marathon, not a sprint' thing and I like seeing my weight trend going down as an average.

How is everyone else getting on?

Welcome @Zebracat, I have been fat since I was about 13, so I don't know my 'comfortable and healthy' weight yet. Are you aiming for 80kg, or higher than that? What hours are you doing the 16:8? I would find those 16 hours really hard!

@blubberball, do you have any favourite videos you can share? I'm really enjoying my Couch to 5k runs, but I'm still doing a workout video on my 'rest' days.
