I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

You could wean them on by adding a bit of jam to it and gradually reduce? It goes down well here and my two are sugar fiends! I get the big pots of Greek yoghurt from lidl, it's so creamy but full fat Grin

Patchworksack · 30/01/2020 14:57

Like everything, bad habits just creep up on you. DH likes Yeo valley yoghurt which is full fat, low sugar and actual fruit, but the kids tend to choose Muller corners which are not great nutrition. I think this has actually been good for all of us - thinking more about food choices and family meals with more veg.

Heygirlheyboy · 30/01/2020 16:17

Eek, I have just logged for the day 🙈😂

Wineloffa · 30/01/2020 16:32

I love this thread too!! Can’t believe we’ve nearly filled it. Let’s definitely do a final January weigh in tomorrow before migrating to a new one. I think I’ll quit refined, processed sugar for February but not fruit or wine!

Today’s menu:

B- 2 x boiled eggs
L- salmon sushi
D- Fish cake with salad (grated carrot, celery, beetroot, lettuce, tomato, spring onions)

S- Apple, banana, yogurt

I’ve just done half an hour of yoga and heading to a spin class later too.

toasterstrudle · 30/01/2020 16:54

Yes I'd be very keen to do a Feb thread, love this group!

Octopus37 · 30/01/2020 17:38

Here here, this group has been great. Its lovely that everyone is so supportive of each other. Very hangry today, will do a final weigh in tomorrow

everycowandagain · 30/01/2020 17:42

Definitely in for a final January weigh in tomorrow and a new February thread.

@HippoHips as a member of the substantial breakfast contingent I think your apple crumble idea is fabulous.

everycowandagain · 30/01/2020 17:46

I have utterly failed to log a single meal or snack today. From memory I had a small full fat latte with a large spoonful of full fat Yoghurt, a sprinkle of granola and a few wedges of orange and grapefruit for breakfast, a banana before the gym, protein shake afterwards, a salt beef and gherkin baggage for lunch (four hundred and something calories I think) and a pile of cucumber /pepper sticks and cherry tomatoes this afternoon. So not terrible I don't think??

everycowandagain · 30/01/2020 17:47

*baguette obviously, not baggage!!

TheHoundsofLove · 30/01/2020 17:47

I'll do a final weigh-in tomorrow too! Yes we must keep the thread going - it's lovely and is really helping to keep me on the straight and narrow sort of .
I'm starting to really notice that some foods agree with me more than others... I think I'm going to try and stay away from pasta and bread - they really make me feel uncomfortably sort of heavy (not really bloated) and, with pasta especially, I find it almost impossible to only eat a small portion. I'm better with my soups and bloody omelettes! Grin

Heygirlheyboy · 30/01/2020 18:00

I had to have 30g of pasta because I was too near limit, veggie burger for lunch pushed me over! Oh ad the sausage casserole with dinner. Will weigh in in morning. I have had a really crazy week, amazing really that I didn't reach for the sugar. V v glad of this ghread.

DontFundHate · 30/01/2020 18:49

Oh shit a weigh in tomorrow? I'm not sure I'm ready for this! Crown Grin

Heygirlheyboy · 30/01/2020 19:51

Had my dinner @4pm, husband going for a takeaway but I wikk hold on till tomorrow if we're weighing! 😂

everycowandagain · 30/01/2020 21:48

Stand firm @Heygirlheyboy Halo

WellErrr · 30/01/2020 22:34

Hi!! Just got in from a long shift. 1338 cals today, lots of little snacks as I just didn’t have time for dinner. BUT I have discovered Tesco calorie controlled ready meals!!
I’m a bit anti ready meals usually, but I had a lovely spaghetti carbonara today for 325cals which I think is amazing!

I’m so pleased we’ve all stuck through this - I’ve never done a diet properly like this before, and I don’t think I would have on my own. So pleased that everyone’s keen for a February thread!

I’m up for a weigh in tomorrow. Good luck everyone!!

WellErrr · 30/01/2020 22:35

Hippohips why don’t you try making overnight oats with stewed apple!?

OP posts:
MyuMe · 30/01/2020 22:43

Wth are overnight oats

Not weighing I wont have lost anything

jelly79 · 30/01/2020 23:23

Eurgh I'm being so shit! Really complacent!

I need to ...

Be sensible for the next 3 days. Run 5k tomorrow and I'm running a half marathon Saturday. Eat what I want within reason Sunday (dinner plans)
I can batch cook and prep for the week on Sunday!!

Monday - back to tracking!!!

🙈🤨

Heygirlheyboy · 30/01/2020 23:33

Good night guys. I stood firm! Report back in morning.

DontFundHate · 31/01/2020 06:22

Good luck this morning everyone!

WellErrr · 31/01/2020 06:40

8st8.8lbs - so we’ll call it 8st9!

I’m heavier at different times of the day but the trend is definitely downwards. I’m thrilled!!

Good luck everyone!

TheHoundsofLove · 31/01/2020 06:47

That's great Well !
I'm 9st6 this morning - I think my post Christmas weight of 10st2 was artificially high...9st13 probably more accurate...so I'm going to say that I've lost half a stone in January. I'm thrilled!
Good luck to everyone else!

everycowandagain · 31/01/2020 07:04

9 stone 7 1/2 this morning so I am a good 5 pounds down since 2 Jan (including some Christmas bloat!) I can see some muscle emerging!! Really pleased with progress so far, looking forward to more hard work and endless vegetables in February to try and shift a few more pounds.

Twixes · 31/01/2020 07:10

I weighed... If I go by my scales and not how they're weighing me in the gym I'm down 4lbs since 6th January! That puts me back where I was last summer. Another 8lbs to go to meet my super-ideal weight

Roll on February!

@TheHoundsofLove half a stone is amazing!
@WellErrr high five! Thanks for starting this thread, it great to be here Smile
