I’ve been living off Brie and chocolate since December began and I’ve put weight on. Currently 9st4lbs and I want to be 8st10lbs.
Anyone with me!?

Going to try calorie counting but open to suggestions. I currently eat far to much crap which is the root of the problem.

No eggs in the house so I've had two mini fromage frais for breakfast.

Spaghetti hoops on toast for lunch then fruit

Dinner will be a small portion of roast beef and veg.

Count me in too please!
I lost 2.5 stones in 2019 and would now like to lose another stone. I’m currently 9st12 and want to be something under 9st - I’m 5’3 and hoping that another stone would take me from my current size 10/12 to an 8/10. I’ve taken my Christmas decorations down today, which is a good mental prompt that I need to get firmly back on track!

I'm using My Fitness Pal to try and shame myself into realising how much I actually eat. I managed to somehow completely allow the app to slip from my mind over December. I went for a 'run' around our local part today. Pretty pathetic, but at least I did it. Roll on the goddess body!

I'm in. Currently 10st 4, 5'8, would like to get back to my pre baby weight of 9 1/2 stone. It's been a struggle, I don't think I've been doing anything differently, but the weight won't shift. Hoping this thread helps!

I’ve been debating for the past 2 days whether to do dry January. And caved as soon as my DH walked through the door this eve.....🙄. I’m going to aim for no midweek drinking.

Went to spin today and did a home yoga thing but now ‘balancing’ it out with a homemade Chinese fakeaway (and the wine!).

I almost feel I’m sabotaging myself in my head before I’ve even begun. I don’t go back to work until Monday - so I can exercise and plan to eat well (tonight aside!) but when I get back to work and balancing kids and house it’s all going to go to pot! So it almost feels like what’s the point....I’m so defeatist!😕

Can I join too please? Started on Boxing Day because we were back to work etc that day. Weighed 10st 8 on Boxing Day. Previous steady weight pre late 30s has been under 9st 7. Had youngest 4 years ago and lost all the weight but have slowly put a fair bit on again over last year or so.
I exercise a lot but am going to give low carb a go, until the end of Jan, and hope to reach 9st 7 again eventually. Have lost 6lbs since Boxing Day, but realise that a lot of that is water.

Actually it’s probably not strictly low carb- having loads of fruit and veg, lots of cheese, Greek yoghurt, a bit of meat, a small amount of chocolate after dinner, a gin and slimline tonic and walking/running lots- 15,000 steps a day. But seems to stop the cravings.
It’s an adapted low carb but seems to be working.

Can I join? I put three pounds on over Christmas, having lost a stone last spring and kept it off all year. I'm currently 11st7, was 12st4 at my heaviest and want to be 10st on the nose. I'm 5ft6.

I'm also currently drinking a 500ml bottle of Cherry Coke and have just bought a chocolate bar Blush

Can I join in too? 3rd baby is now 7 months old, I had been doing really well until Christmas (lost 21lbs in 3 months by just being sensible), then Christmas came and all sense went out the window... I've been eating about 6 meals a day, there have been endless trips to the fridge to graze on cheese, leftovers etc.
5ft2, currently 9st 9lb, really need to get down to 8st 10lb.

I thought work days would be easy but we had birthday buffet lunch (said I had to go home to let my dog out and ate the salad I intended) and I was given a tin of shortbread (immediately regifted to the work break stash of biscuits - hopefully someone else will eat them) and a bottle of wine (stashed for post dry January)! Working is bad for the waistline. Pork stirfry for tea and now telling myself my 8 hour window is closed!

How’s everyone done today?

I’m on 1380. Daily limit is 1400. It’s so hard but I’m so fed up of feeling fat and all my clothes being tight!

Had fruit corner for breakfast, falafel and salad wrap for lunch and small portion of tuna pasta for dinner. Had to have a hot chocolate mid afternoon as I went out for coffee with a friend and she bought me one..!

Can I please join? I’m 5ft 1, weighed 9st 6 on New Years Day but have lost a pound already. Would like to get down to 8st 12 by the end of the month as I have a big birthday coming up.

7 pounds might be a bit unrealistic but if I saw 8st on the scales even 8st 13, I would be thrilled.

I’m doing MFP, 1200 calories per day along with yoga every day, 3 mile daily dog walk and spinning 3 times a week. No booze for the whole month which is probably the toughest part!

Oh me please!

I’m nearer 50 than 40 and the weight creep now sees me a fair bit up on where I feel best. Clothes all too snug and avoiding anything clingy or fitted. Horrible.

I’m a terrible grazer and evening snacker so will focus hard on eating three meals and cleaning my teeth at 8pm to stop the kitchen surfing.

I’ll weigh on Monday after I’ve bought some scales although truth be told I’m dreading it. I haven’t weighed myself for about a year and I bet it won’t be pretty.

I have spent all year being 62kg then 60 then 62 again. I’m only just under 5ft 2 and I really want to be under 9 stone instead of 9.5 stone as it makes a big difference to how I feel and I don’t want to keep creeping up.

I was 60kg this week so will weigh on Monday.

One of my problems is hot flushes at night and disturbed sleep leading to eating for energy Sad

Hi, I would name change as I have joined so many threads but don't know how to. Did join the Slimming World one today, but have found out the joining costs and cannot justify the time or money. Have about a stone to lose, Was 9st111/4 yesterday, at 5ft5 this puts me at a good size 12, although tbh a couple of 12s feel a bit tight and could go up to a 14, I don't carry weight well. Like load of other people on here, have found it much harder since I hit my 40s, lost weight quickly after having my kids and realise that I lucked out then. I am 45 next week, Cannot to lo carb cause I have slightly high cholesterol, also find that I cannot eat loads of fruit and veg as I get a bad stomach, so just doing the best I can. Kind of loosely following the Slimming World plan. Aiming to drink less, not alcohol until my Birthday, making the swap from cider to flavoured gins. Bit low on my steps that last couple of days, as I have been a bit under the weather. TBH find dieting pretty hellish and get hangry, but really going to do my best. Today I have eaten:
Pack of Go Ahead fruit slices
1 chocolate (Cadburys Hero)
A nectarine
1 piece of bread and I and a half oat cakes with 2 lerjammer light chees slices
1 Activia yoghurt
Pasta with Bolognese made using the oil spray and 5% fat free mince. It was quite a large portion but I was starving.
Drinks, diet drinks, black tea, water, sugar fee squash

There's loads of us! This is fast becoming my new favourite thread!

Thank you @WellErrr for starting this! I don't have many friends in the outside world so finding something in common with others is fab!

Like I said in previous post starting properly when I go back to work on Monday (primary 1 teacher) and I'm very lucky my DP is an amazing cook. A couple of girls in my department are also looking to lose a bit of weight so we're all chipping in and DP cooking us a big batch cook of lunches for the week all home cooked and healthy which I'm delighted about, he's a gem.

Good luck everyone!

Definitely up for a Monday morning weigh in keeps excesses at bay over the weekend. @sparklingwater1 your DP sounds lovely with his batch cooking. Makes all the difference when you have the support.

@jelly79 yes, loosely. I don't tend to eat breakfast and my downfall is snacking in the evening, so giving it a try having a proper lunch and dinner then not eating after 8pm.

As an aside, I watched "Fat - a documentary" on Amazon Prime, mainly because it has a section about the ketogenic diet for epilepsy (my daughter had the same type of epilepsy as Charlie Abrahams of the Charlie Foundation) but it was interesting about the history of diet/nutrition advice in the USA and how it's influenced by many with vested interests.
