Anyone care to join me?

I need to lose weight - about 2.5st - but my main goal is just to be healthier by making better choices and maintaining healthy habits.

I'm getting organised today and Day 1 is tomorrow, small steps lead to big things :o

If I get to the absolutely starving phase then it’s curtains for me - carbs, sugar etc so I am having to graze a bit.

L: broccoli and Stilton soup with bread and butter

D: roast chicken and a 25gr bar of Aldi moser Roth 85% chocolate which is actually pretty grim (bitter) so no idea why I ate it.

Went on a massive piss up indulgent weekend last weekend so aim with loss this week is to lose the 2.5 llbs I put on over the last weekend

Morning all, sorry for the sporadic posts!

I'm still not quite there with my eating, still up and down at times but I am doing 25 minutes of focussed exercise with a FB video everyday and definitely feeling the benefits and dare I say enjoying it :o

My weight is still 13st 6.5lbs but I've dropped 3inches from my waist and my clothes are fitting better so I'm going in the right direction regardless of what the scales say.

Well done to those who are managing to stick at it and continue posting and to those who have lost weight over the past few weeks. I'm hoping to make it a habit to post atleast once a day again to motivate my eating now.

Another 3lb off so I'm having a treat night tonight

I’m 1 llb off a 2 stone loss today (since I started in July). Thought I had stalled this week but as soon as my period finished it dropped off. Gives me motivation to plod on.

L: Aldi bratwurst and ratatouille with goats cheese on top.

D: salmon with veg and possibly some Aldi halloumi fries

thewinkingprawn · 21/09/2019 21:06

And a snack of dark chocolate 😀

Well done on your (almost) 2 stone loss @thewinkingprawn! Makes me a bit annoyed with myself though as I could be there now too. Instead I have eaten Cake pretty much August onwards to cope with the school hols.....

Struggling to get back on the healthy eating and work in some exercise, although the DC are at nursery more often now I actually get less time without them per day as I have a longer journey. Not sure what to do about that one!

thewinkingprawn · 22/09/2019 23:38

Thanks @RubySlippers, I can feel my motivation slipping somewhat as I feel vastly better but have only just ducked out of the obese BMI category and into overweight so still 3-4 stone to go to be actually healthy. I get you on the exercise front - I have 3 children across 2 schools (30 mins between each) and it’s impossible. I just figure that really it is eating less that is going to make the biggest difference so I can’t worry about something I have no time for!

RubySlippers77 · 24/09/2019 11:16

I am still in obese territory @thewinkingprawn Sad

Honestly all my excess weight crept on once the DC were a year or so. I lost it pretty quickly after they were born - maybe too quickly with hindsight - and then steadily put it back on, with more for good measure! It wasn't too much of an issue when it was only an extra stone or so but unfortunately it's now three stone and I do feel it; joint pains, lack of energy etc. Planning to lose two stone by next May for a family wedding and then the rest by next September when the DC start 'proper' school rather than nursery. My DM has always been overweight and much as I love her, I do remember how embarrassing/ frustrating it was when she wouldn't participate in things that other DMs did.

Got absolutely soaked through on the school run this morning. Been home two hours now and my 'waterproof' jacket is still nowhere near dry Hmm
