Anyone care to join me?

I need to lose weight - about 2.5st - but my main goal is just to be healthier by making better choices and maintaining healthy habits.

I'm getting organised today and Day 1 is tomorrow, small steps lead to big things :o

I walked 6k today
B: bowl of special K, cup of tea
S: Peach, cup of coffee
L: sun-dried tomato ciabatta, beans, babybel, 5 small crackers, cup of tea
S: small bowl popcorn, rice cake
D: roast chicken, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, water.
Greek yoghurt and fruit. Cup of tea

Well I started the week well, no loss yet but I’ve been eating healthier food and walking more briskly with the dog.

Went out for dinner last night though. Had salad with halloumi so reasonably healthy choice but also had large glass of rosé 😫.

Well done to others for pounds dropped so far.

Walked 5k today
B: bowl of special K and cup of tea
S: coffee, tiny square sponge cake
L: 1/2 tin Heinz tomato soup, thins, boiled egg, pretzels
S: 3 crackers, cup of tea X2
D: sweet and sour king prawn and fried rice from the Chinese.

Not great but was so hungry today. I reckon a takeaway a month is ok considering it used to be one a week. Back on it tomorrow...

Back in the game after a couple of wobbly days..
B nothing
L chilli in a wrap / plum
D spaghetti with garlic and chilli / dark choc
Bought a treadmill recently to help me get back into running and have done couch 2 5k week 3 run 3 today 💪
(Hungry now but will try to hang on until tomorrow)

Still here, sorry for not checking in. I've been reading your posts and kept meaning to comment but my food diary looks a train wreck sometimes... Sounds like everyone is doing well! :o

I've been continuing on my wee cycle of good..good.. EAT IT ALL which is not quite where I wanted my head to be at but I have been eating a lot less of it "all", reaching for water first and not snacking at night which seems to be helping. I'm on day 2 ofLesley Sanson's 2019 walking thingon YouTube plus my planking challenge and I've lost 3cm from my waist and dropped 3lbs! Trying to build it into my routine so it becomes habit instead of a chore.

Will report back later, happy weekend everyone!

Well, for me, its been coming up for 6 weeks. Though a rockier start it seems I've lost some of my appetite over the last week too. I must be in some kind of ketosis Shock - not deliberately - I am mainly trying to cut portion sizes and just eat more "healthily" generally. But I guess some ketosis is inevitable as a side effect of my cutting calories (and therefore carbs) on those days I lower my calorie count more.

However, I don't want to lose weight too fast - in case I lose muscle! So am trying to make sure I am eating enough protein, salt and drinking lots of water in the daytime. Bagel and scrambled egg for my lunch today ...

Recent posts, people seem to be doing amazingly well.

Six weeks in to 16:8 fasting 🙂 my average weekly weight has dropped by 5lb 🙂 I will be measuring on Tuesday to see if my waist and hips have changed.

I’m eating whatever I want within my eating window 🙂 I’m running several times a week with a long run on sundays 🙂

Finding this very easy to stick to tbh. I’m fitting back into my favourite running shorts 🙂

@swampytiggaa do you weigh every day to give you the weekly average? I have never done that but thinking it might give the most reliable indication of weight going up or down. Well done on the 5lbs 👏👏

@singingstones yes I do 🙂 I enter my weight into the Fitbit app and it works out my weekly average for me 🙂

Fitbit week goes Sunday to Saturday so I take my Saturday average as my weeks weight iyswim. So today’s weight was 9st 8.5lb but my average for the week is 9st 9.9lb so that’s what I’m taking.

@swampytiggaa yes I think I should try the weigh daily and take average too.

I've not been tracking the last 3 days as I've been ill but I think I've been eating ok. Feeling a lot better so should be back on it tomorrow.

I started Sept 1. I have my very judgemental (and skinny) sister visiting Oct 1 so am doing 30 days which seems doable. She’s only here a few days so cracking on after she leaves for another 30 (I’ll be eating out with her so calories go up even if she doesn’t ever overeat herself).
I use MFP, do two PT sessions a week plus one Pilates class and one yoga. I swim a few times a week too but not great at walking.
I’ve cut out alcohol completely, and all obvious sweet things (like biscuits etc).
Breakfast is egg, tomatoes and smoked salmon, lunch soup and some protein or a lo cal ready meal (love Waitrose Bento box). Dinner I eat with kids trying to half my portions. Sugar snap peas as go to munchies snack. Treat is Dolce Gusto latte (I have a coffee machine) with sweetener. Aim to keep it between 1200-1500 calories.

D pasta with tomato sauce / dark choc
Did 5k on the treadmill (fast walk but will be running eventually). I am in a competition with DS, 5k every Saturday, who can do it faster. He will win every week but that's ok if it means he's getting fitter Wink

No exercise except running about after the DC so I need to sort this out.

I’ve lost 11 lbs since 27th August, so feeling really chuffed and motivated!

I’ve been eating low carb and reduced portion sizes and massively reduced alcohol consumption. No real exercise yet, but planning on introducing that this week. I want to 1.5 stone more, so still a way to go....

Well done everyone! Keep it up. We can do this.

5lbs lost so far 🎉

(Might go up a bit next week as I am planning to do the average like swampy)

Hi, please could I join too? I am restarting my weight loss attempts after the hell that was the school holidays!!

Current weight is 13.11, want to get down to 10.6 = 47lb to lose. I have a family wedding to attend next May and definitely want to be under 12st for that!

Today is day 1 of healthy eating/ no cake (sob)/ at least 10K steps. I will do more every day if I can but those will be my minimum..... not a big drinker, maybe one per week, but will cut back on that too if needs be.

Really struggled yesterday with the dull weather... just wanted to eat cake and drink tea all day. Did ok until my DH also wanted something sweet and we bought a pack of Oreos 🤦🏻‍♀️

At the gym. Hopefully will have a better food day today.

Just caught up with the thread. Pleased to hear everyone is doing fab and making progress. I need to take accountability of consumption. Been over indulging on the Summer Hols, back on track. I've been doing low carb 1200 cal for a week and have lost 3lbs. Super happy!!

I have just over a stone to lose...

B: Chia +Over Night Oaks with Berries + Almond Milk
L: Smoked Salmon + Salad + Crackers
D: Roasted Veg + Halloumi
S: 1) Mixed Berries 2) Passion Fruit
Sugar free jelly pot

Unlimited tea/ coffee

I have a super sweet tooth!!! Any tips and tricks pls!!!

💦💦💦 Water Water Water 💦💦💦

Drink as much as you can. Have a big glass first thing in the morning. Have a glass when you feel peckish, drink it throughout the day, with meals and have it by the bed.
