Hi

I need to stop snacking and eating crap! So I'm drawing a line and starting fresh from Monday. I'm planning to eat healthily / low carb and am trialling Beachbody On Demand .... hoping this one will hook me as the workouts are different each day rather than the same for a week. Anyone want to join me and hold me accountable?

I still have about 3 stones to loose and would like to be out of my 16s and squeezing into a 12 by the time I go on holiday in mid July. First goal is to loose 2lbs which should put me in overweight rather than obese. Then I'd like to get to 11 something.... currently 12.9.3.

My problem is I lack motivation, am tired and lazy really..... I need to make a new habit tho.

I'm still here, didn't post yesterday as was still totally blissed out after our wonderful night away. Kids are back later today, it's been quiet without them, the house is still tidy but I have really missed them!

Scales are showing 2.3lb loss since my restart on Thursday, that is as of this morning. Pretty pleased with that after our beautiful 3 course dinner and wine Friday Eve plus a full cooked breakfast yesterday morning. Though I did refuse the baked beans and toast!!

Went food shopping yesterday so lots of keto friendly food in but I still can't give up my milk for coffee! So need to limit myself to just 3 a day going forward and perhaps measuring the milk out rather than just chucking in my coffee.

Still on with the big house declutter, though things slowed down a bit recently with us being away. Got all the clean washing put away yesterday afternoon though. Gonna go have a mad hour now in DDs room before she gets back, gives me chance to dispose of some stuff she would otherwise hang on to!

Clothes wise - I do all my shopping mainly on amazon, I don't do town anymore (feel too fat for their shops at the moment anyway). We also have a Bon Marche and a peacocks near us also which suit my needs and pocket for now. My job can get messy so Monday to Friday is jeans and T-shirt's anyway as anything else is impractical.

I have a stash of smaller size clothes that I kept as I love them hoping one day to get back into them. So I might branch out shopping wise once the weight is off and I need to renew most of my wardrobe. The stash mainly consists of jeans and dresses so will need to renew tops/jackets etc as I go! So will keep an eye out for what everyone else suggests!

Have a good Sunday everyone! Back to school and work routine tomorrow Sad

Furkle · 28/04/2019 11:45

Hi, mind if I join? I've got 3 stone to lose and I'm sick of constantly being on a diet and yet im the exact same weight I was 3/5/8 years ago! (I lost a bit after dc1 but then had dc2 and back to where I started that's my excuse but really I'm lazy)

I'm planning on cc with mfp, 10k steps a day minimum and will be looking at Pilates/yoga to tone up (my thighs are hideous) and drinking at least 1.5l of water.

I'm 31 and feel like I should be enjoying life with dc but I'm so unfit and self conscious it spoils things.

I need help!

mrsgandy · 28/04/2019 14:04

@swimmingdory my lunch and dinner were both lovely . A chicken wrap for lunch and some salmon for dinner . I had one gin and Tonic and a glass of white wine .

Clothes I am keeping to a minimum but I but marks and Spencer's Wallis , oasis , Dorothy Perkins , Tesco but I do buy very little . I'm about a size 16 and nearly 50 so I try not to dress fuddy . Today I'm wearing jeans , white linen long shirt, pale pink jacket and a bright pink scarf. Think I'm passable .

My favourite clothes are tracksuits lol .

@Furkle welcome . Please don't let your weight stop you enjoying your family . Get out and enjoy every moment .

@Purplechanges sounds like you did great with your weekend away and a loss that's brillaint .

Ok I think it's time I faced the scales but I do feel happier and better so should I avoid the pressure and let the doc do it in June ?

Really pleased I learned how to do the @ replies to each of you .

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 28/04/2019 16:40

Guess who just did a full 25 mins of the 30 day shred........

Halo
Purplechanges · 28/04/2019 20:15

@TaliZorahVasNormandy ah I love a bit of shred. DH removed the DVD player out of the living room so all my Jillian collection is pretty much useless. Will have to see if I can find some of it on YouTube perhaps!

Well done!!

Purplechanges · 28/04/2019 20:18

Can I ask when does everyone get weighed? Daily, weekly etc - I have noticed someone say they aren't weighing in at all, I wish I had the strength. I'm battling with myself not to weigh daily as it can affect my day if I don't see what I want to see! Trying to aim for twice a week max!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 28/04/2019 20:42

Purple I'm so pleased with myself. 2 weeks ago my idea of exercise was walking to fridge.

I also really struggle not to weigh myself everyday. It's like an obsession.

Howlongtillbedtime · 29/04/2019 07:16

Good morning all , apologies for going AWOL I had a manic week at work and at home and have been a bit rubbish so was avoiding coming here.

But I am now back on track.

I hope everyone else is doing better.

Pinkvici22 · 29/04/2019 07:52

Happy Monday everyone!! Didn’t have a brilliant weekend food wise but lots of exercise done. Trying to have a really good week this week.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 29/04/2019 08:15

Ugh, AF has arrived this morning. I might have to lock myself in the bedroom so I dont trying and eat every bit of chocolate in the house.

swimmingdory · 29/04/2019 14:48

Morning.

I weigh weekly, couldn't do it daily as i think I'd struggle with the fluctuation.

Am struggling with snacks at the moment. But I'm trying still and I got up this morning and did the next run, including a full 3 mins 🏃🏻‍♀️👏🏻

Keep going ladies

Day 2 of the 30 day shred completed.

I'm sweating buckets now.

mrsgandy · 30/04/2019 08:08

Bad bad bad day yesterday. Bread galore . No proper dinner . Think I was just so so tired it was easy options . Back on track today

swimmingdory · 30/04/2019 17:36

Struggling..... still 😬😵😫

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 30/04/2019 18:43

I had a cheese and tuna panini today.

I have no regrets. Not one!

PamelaHalpert · 30/04/2019 21:06

Can I join too!

I stepped on the scales 2 weeks ago and realised I had hit 14st 9! How I've been squeezing into size 14 jeans is beyond a miracle!

I've been so good and stuck to using MFP at 1200 calories a day. I've been drinking lots of water and cut out alcohol... (now I'm glaring at DP who is currently on the sofa with a glass of wine Envy)

Anyway today I weighed and I've lost 8lbs Grin

Pinkvici22 · 30/04/2019 21:11

Wow Pamela what an amazing loss Star

I’ve had a pretty good few days. I’ve decided there’s no point trying to be perfect, I can only go my best and the more small changes I make the more sustainable it’ll be!

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 30/04/2019 21:35

No 30 shred for me today. I have no energy to get off of my sofa to go to bed.

swimmingdory · 01/05/2019 06:50

Well done @PamelaHalpert that's a great start!

I'm still struggling with food, amazing how quickly I've bloated back out. Have kept up with c25k tho just done w3r2.

Time to sort my shit back out. Tuna salad for lunch I think and maybe bolognaise for tea. Not keto carb but low carb for now. So no pasta, potatoes, bread or rice

mrsgandy · 01/05/2019 19:49

Think I'm back on track again today . Heading for my walk soon .

@swimmingdory , you are human and struggling is allowed . Your doing great with the exercise

@PamelaHalpert that's a fab weight loss . Amazing what small changes can do .
@Pinkvici22 You are woman after my own heart . Small changes are sustainable and I find easier just back on track after a bad day .
@TaliZorahVasNormandy rest day needed maybe .

I have been listening to all the updates on menopause recently on the radio and reading things . I am so definitely in the throes . The anxiety I feel over things is unreal , the crying and feeling sad , the poor sleep and hot flushes .
One doctor said , eat better , love more and try for 8 hours rest . These little tweaks will do wonders for us. 30 mins walk 5 times a week important . I got to do this for me now .

swimmingdory · 02/05/2019 06:58

@mrsgandy The menopause must be so tough! But you're right, it's important you do it for you. I'm still in the throes of putting as much sugar based crap as I can in my mouth! Went to the cinema last night with my big boys to watch the avengers, was surprised by how good it was actually!

Have a good day everyone x

OP posts:
mrsgandy · 02/05/2019 07:51

Did you see the previous movies ?
Did my 12000 steps yesterday thanks to the walk .

Yes it's miserable at time dory . Worst part is the anxiety and the fleeting moments when I feel isolated and alone . I'm a dreadful overthinker whixh doesn't help .

swimmingdory · 03/05/2019 05:46

@mrsgandy no I didn't although I had seen the captain marvel. Tbh I think it was fine as a stand alone film. I understood enough of what was going on really.

My week has been awful. A whole week of literally shoving in as much as I can has resulted in +6.2 undoing everything I did in the two weeks before 😬😫 I know some of that is water weight having gone back to carbs but I am so bloated out again too! I really need to give myself a kick up the bum and sort it out!!! Why is it so hard!!

OP posts:
Pinkvici22 · 03/05/2019 07:02

Oh dory it really is so hard isn’t it?

I managed to gain 1lb after Easter but have lost 2 this week. Slow and steady which I know is the best way but it’s making me anxious that I won’t be at target by holiday.

swimmingdory · 03/05/2019 07:18

You'll still be closer tho @mrsgandy and that's what we've got to remember. When is your holiday?

I've done my exercise at least. Back to it now. Will be tough as it's fat Friday at work, but hopefully I can talk them into a Nando's! Friends over tomorrow night for a few gins and takeout but we'll stick to Indian to keep on track too.

Let's smash this. 10 weeks till holiday!
