Hi

I need to stop snacking and eating crap! So I'm drawing a line and starting fresh from Monday. I'm planning to eat healthily / low carb and am trialling Beachbody On Demand .... hoping this one will hook me as the workouts are different each day rather than the same for a week. Anyone want to join me and hold me accountable?

I still have about 3 stones to loose and would like to be out of my 16s and squeezing into a 12 by the time I go on holiday in mid July. First goal is to loose 2lbs which should put me in overweight rather than obese. Then I'd like to get to 11 something.... currently 12.9.3.

My problem is I lack motivation, am tired and lazy really..... I need to make a new habit tho.

Hey I'm still here and plodding on. DS room is officially spotless, decluttered, and cleaned within an inch of its life. I even changed the bedding!!

Summerhouse tomorrow as we have guests coming late afternoon for food. I nearly choked to death down there earlier as the dust that's accumulated over winter is shocking to say no one has been down there. Also found an array of toys that either need cleaning or binning so that's tomorrow sorted for me!

Food wise today has been ok, had the odd treat (vodka with dinner - I don't do wine or beer and an ice cream but figured its bank holiday weekend and I'm only human!!). No binge though, only snacked when truly hungry and been mindful about portion sizes.

Someone mentioned summer clothes ....... arghhhh!!!!!! Can I run away now, I love the nice weather but hate I can't dress for it without feeling truly rubbish so I can't help at all! I actually went shopping with the kids this morning purposely to buy some summer stuff for me and came home with sunglasses and socks for the kids, nothing at all for me Sad

Purplechanges · 20/04/2019 20:11

And can I add the vodka was with Diet Coke (not neat as my original post seems to imply Grin)

swimmingdory · 21/04/2019 09:18

Morning everyone

Hope you're all able to stay strong (or at least sensible) with the chocolate eggs floating around today. I'm not having any, because it just starts off my cravings for shit food.

Have done day 2 workout of 21 day fix today which was upper arms. I am absolutely useless at Plank and push ups but am sure it will come with time if I stick to it. C25k tomorrow. Going to try and alternate them which should help to tone as the weight comes off!

Going to go make some breakfast... am thinking poached eggs with spinach and hollandaise sauce. Then I've got to go run the bike pump over to the kids. Chilled afternoon with my iPad/tv then I think. Or maybe some kindle in the garden if it's as warm as yesterday.

Happy Easter everyone hope you all have a lovely day x

I’ve fallen off the wagon a bit. I thought I could control myself around Easter chocolate but I was wrong.

However it’s now all gone so dusting myself off and carrying on. I’m not doing anything special for Easter so back on ‘normal’ food now and long may it continue!

I’m off today so plan to ride the horse, do a work out video and some gardening

mrsgandy · 21/04/2019 10:54

Every bone in my body is aching from hikes and gardening . Just pottering about doing laundry and housework for now . Promised Dd I will go for a walk later but it will be gentle as I'm so sore Dinner out tonight .

Enjoy your day all

DowntonCrabby · 21/04/2019 14:32

Happy Easter everyone Flowers

It’s safe to say I fell off the wagon yesterday, line drawn and I’ll move on. We’re currently sitting in the cinema (us and one over family only, everyone’s obviously at the beach!) DH and kids have popcorn and drinks and I have my drinks bottle with diluting juice from home. Planning on steak with salad for tea.

I’m sure it doesn’t work that quickly but after my skin being great all last week a spot appeared on my chin within hours of having some ice cream so back to 100% sugar free now.

Have a great day everyone, enjoy the sunshine. It’s 20* here in north of Scotland!

daisyhead08 · 21/04/2019 21:16

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. It turns out that I cannot resist chocolate. I had some today, admittedly nothing near what I would have had in previous years and I walked for 90 mins his morning but I'm cross with myself now.

Clean slate tomorrow!

swimmingdory · 21/04/2019 21:31

Today was always going to be hard ladies, so don't be too hard on yourselves. Draw the line and get back to it.

I've struggled too today, had a hungry day. Think it's all the sitting round doing nothing. Have managed to stick to plan but it's not been easy. Am taking my nephew ice skating tomorrow so that will keep me busy at least!

Remember that a bad day doesn't have to mean the end x

Morning all.

First weigh in and I am two pounds down. Had hoped for more but I have been out of routine all week and drank far far too much . All good fun but no good for weight loss.

Back to work tomorrow and I will be pleased to be back in a normal pattern again.
Will get out and do wk2 r1 today.

Have a good day all. Sorry for not replying to everyone but am on my phone .

swimmingdory · 22/04/2019 09:10

2lbs is great @Howlongtillbedtime well done

Good luck with w2r1 I just done it, found it tough but I did it. It's hard to imagine ever being able to run for 30 mins but the program has worked for so many so will stick with it and look forward to graduating.

Off to shower then a late breakfast before I take my nephew ice skating. Have a great day everyone and stick to plan x

Had a lovely day yesterday, cleaned the summer house to within an inch of its life. Was a total spiders graveyard Sad then spent the afternoon into evening down there with kids and DH family. Bbq went on, lamb joint cooked slowly to perfection and MIL brought banoffee pie!

So wasn't hoping for much but 2.1lb down on last week so happy with that!!

SuperNoodly · 22/04/2019 11:49

Morning all.

Drawing a line under yesterday with the rest of you Grin. It wasn’t too bad. Pub lunch (3 glasses of wine and a roast dinner)...but didn’t eat anything else yesterday, and drank loads of water on the evening.

I’m eating sensibly today (yoghurt & berries for breakfast, Ive got a a salad ready for lunch, and salmon & veg tonight) but I am going to allow myself a couple of drinks this evening...then back to work tomorrow and going to take this more seriously.

Enjoy the sunshine, all!

mrsgandy · 22/04/2019 13:08

Hi all .
Went out for dinner last night . Had salmon and some wine . Picked at some chocolate . And I finished my favourite cheese for lunch today so won't buy it again.

I have been very active over the last week so going to continue in that vein and really work hard now to shift some weight . Feel yucky with it on . Tummy in the way of everything!

Enjoy the ice skating Dory and the rest of the day the rest of you

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 22/04/2019 13:48

I feel like I need this thread.

I've been dieting for 7 weeks. Lost 17 pounds in that time, but for the last 2 weeks my weight loss has stalled completely.

I'm just sick of being fat.

I want to feel confident and sexy, maybe actually have a love life.

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/04/2019 14:17

Welcome tali 7 pounds in 7 weeks is amazing !
What's your plan ?

Wk2 r1 done today. It was tough but it's another one ticked off the list.

I hope everyone is getting on ok this sunny bank holiday .

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 22/04/2019 14:27

I'm calorie control.

I've cut out bread, most dairy, high fat food, booze, sugary drinks. Have carb limit and aim for 40 mins of cardio/resistance a day.

Howlongtillbedtime · 22/04/2019 14:36

That sounds hard-core tali

Not sure I could stick to that sadly but I guess the results speak for themselves.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 22/04/2019 14:40

It's been hard work and I'm disgustingly unfit but I'm finally in the state of mind to actually do it. No more emotional eating or bordem eating.

My scales arent being kind and now I've hit the plateau I'm starting to struggle.

DowntonCrabby · 22/04/2019 17:11

Hope you all manage to get back on girl plans after the weekend. I carried on my fall from the wagon into yesterday Blush

Anyway, back on track today, in work with my olives, ignoring all the biscuits. I’ve planned most of this week’s meals so I’m more likely to stick to plan.

Here’s to a new week for us all Halo

swimmingdory · 22/04/2019 17:25

Well done @Purplechanges! Great result.

Welcome @TaliZorahVasNormandy you've done great so far!

Sounds like work brings a plan for all of us. I'm also back in the morning. Taking leftovers of tonight's dinner (salmon and veg) with me. Then tomorrow night I think I'm going to make a butter chicken with roasted cauliflower.

Looking forward to reaching the point on this diet where I have an abundance of energy, clear skin and no headaches or cravings lol

DoraleeRhodes · 22/04/2019 19:12

A bit late to the party, but can I join you?

I’ve got about 3 stone to lose. I’m 14 weeks postpartum so have been ignoring it but now at the stage where I really need to sort it.
My main downfall is snacking so I need to cut that out completely, and then I’m looking at calorie controlled meals. Sooo hard when breastfeeding a tiny baby and chasing after s toddler though.
Exercise wise I’m pretty good. I’m a runner so getting back into that, back up to 5km and have a 10km booked for June to train for. I’ve been doing some carifit so want to up that, and also start doing kettlebells again.
I have my wedding st the end of the year so that’s my focus!

pontiouspilates · 22/04/2019 19:56

Am drawing a line under this long weekend as there has been too much food and wine. On it from tomorrow. Making more sensible choices. Good luck everyone!

Pinkvici22 · 22/04/2019 21:10

Very reassuring that I’m not alone in having over-indulged this weekend! I was good Friday/Saturday, hit the champagne yesterday and the chocolate today. Had plenty of exercise and will get back on track tomorrow.

mrsgandy · 23/04/2019 06:48

Ok this is proper start now today . Unfortunately I have to visit a relative in hospital tonight in a different county so my walk will be hard to fit in but I can tackle the food today and have a good day that way . If I'm back on time I'll do a dvd ,

Howlongtillbedtime · 23/04/2019 07:29

Good morning all.
Back to work and a routine today which should really make this week a bit easier.
I have ready got lunch for today and tomorrow sorted which will also hopefully help.
Part of my healthy eating is to eat less meat so I am trying some of the Joe wicks recipes this week. If anyone has some good veggie recipes that would be great.

Good luck everyone!
