Half a stone off in April (3kgs for the 'metrix')

Carrying on from the March thread (but all new joiners welcome), a fresh slate for April!

Please join me - all plans welcome (calorie counters, weight watchers, citizens of slimming world, intermittent fasters, eating-only-blue-food eaters). Here to support each other and aim to lose 7 pounds, or 3 kgs.

My starting weight for April is 65.1 pounds and getting to 62-ish or just under by the end of the month would be great.

Who is in?

Me! & I'll be more present this time! Feeling motivated by my 6lb March loss!

RaskolnikovsGarret · 01/04/2019 07:44

Me too thanks

bibbitybobbityyhat · 01/04/2019 07:56

Hello, I'm a newbie. I'm going to be doing the no S diet, no more than 14 units of alcohol pw, serious portion control and properly taking myself in hand over my laziness/lack of exercise. I won't have time today but tomorrow will take my bicycle to the bike shop for a service so I can get cycling again. I doubt I can lose 7lb in a month but my target is 14lb by 4th July. Good luck to all!

Dhalandchips · 01/04/2019 07:58

Me please, I'm working my way down to about 11 and half stones from 108 kg, currently at 82kg...plateau-ed and cross! A kick up the arse is required!

AdventureTravelDreamer · 01/04/2019 08:42

Thanks for the new thread Viva.

Have gym stuff with me at work and Body Attack booked for 6.30pm so no excuse not to kick the month off right Smile

missjemima · 01/04/2019 08:56

I'm in!

Have had a hectic and stressful start to the year and have self medicated with alcohol and carbs. Need to be kind to my body and get back in shape both physically and mentally! I used to be a faster but I think month one will be about skipping the wine and sorting out my portion control.... Maybe fasting in May? What's everyone else doing?

doodlejump1980 · 01/04/2019 09:00

I’m in. Start weight on 1/1/19 was 13st3
Today’s weight 12st5 so have lost 12lbs. No excuses! Doing weightwatchers.

Shadycorner · 01/04/2019 09:05

Please may I join? Half a stone a month sounds sensible, do-able and not too overwhelming (have 3 stone to lose).

Just realised that a quarter of the year has gone and I need to get cracking! Shock

Haven't quite formulated a detailed plan yet and terrible start because I have just eaten two M& S mini hot cross buns for breakfast, aargh! But thank you for thread VivaFrida it's focused my mind!

Steala · 01/04/2019 09:17

Yes please. I'm weighing in at 11.13 with an ultimate goal of 9.10. I'm a yo-yo dieter with two modes: super strict or bingeing. I'm trying the No S diet too to try to find a middle ground between my two modes. I'm 2 weeks in, 3lb down and slowly deciding strategies to avoid boredom/emotional eating.

waves Smile

Hello! Hope it's okay to join..

Been posting on one of the Slimming World posts, but hoping this will be a motivational kid of post/I'm realistically not following/strict SW...

Started weighing/dieting properly 2 weeks ago..

Weigh days are Saturdays for me, I use the "metrix" just so I don't get focussed on how heavy I've become - I have no concept of kgs to st and lbs, and am happy that way..

Main method is using myfitnesspal, using the recommended settings it came up with on there. So just over 1600 kcal a day, monitoring my macro percentages and nutrient goals.

Start weight was 94.2kg
Current weight: 92.5kg
Total loss in March: 1.7kg
Total loss in April - yet to be seen!

cricketmum84 · 01/04/2019 09:42

Waves to all on new thread.

I'm in!! More tracking this month as I was a bit rubbish in March and I need some more accountability.

Starting the month at 21st 13lbs.

MercuryRising · 01/04/2019 09:54

I'm in. Started sw just over a week ago. My current weight is 13st 5.5. I would like to be below 11st by the time I return to work after mat leave in September.

Crazzzycat · 01/04/2019 09:58

I’m in!

I’ve been counting calories since the start of the year (1400/day), as well as increasing exercise levels.

My stats to date are:
1/1- around 94 kg
1/2- 91.1 kg
1/3- 87.7 kg
1/4 - 83.5 kg

Thanks for starting the new thread VivaFrida

whatthefoxsaid · 01/04/2019 10:02

I'm in - lost around 2 stone last summer using the 'half a stone' threads, then managed to maintain until Christmas, relaxed over the festivities and then took my eye of the ball completely. I'm now a stone up since Christmas and very cross with myself about it.

I'm using MFP to track everything I eat as that is what worked last year. Weighed in at 14st 4lb this morning - I got down to a low of just under 13st in the Autumn which is the lightest I have been in years and am very unhappy that the weight has gone back on - 100% down to the crappy diet I have had for the first 3 months of the year.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 01/04/2019 12:34

I'm so hungry! Cheese and cherry tomato omelette with one slice of toast for lunch to look forward to.

Mamimawr · 01/04/2019 12:51

I weighed in at 13 stone 1 this morning. Half a stone a month sounds sensible. I'm going to be doing Slimming World but not going to group.

This morning I've had overnight oats and some grapes. We're having a pasta bake tonight. Soup for lunch.

mellongoose · 01/04/2019 15:16

Incoming!

I'm currently 12st 10 on MIL's scales and a straight 12st on mine Hmm. Let's go with mine and plan for a full stone off before my birthday in two months time.

I had a tmfr at the beginning of the year at 20 weeks so it's been a dark, dark winter. Need to sort out weight, finances and happy hormones. Hopefully one will help the others along.

Will up my exercise and reduce my calories for now. Starting gently. Looking to you for inspiration 👍

Firebreathingwoman · 01/04/2019 15:29

Me please! I'm planning to do 5:2 and have started today.

If only the socialising didn't get in the way...

Dhalandchips · 01/04/2019 16:05

I'm using MFP too, it's giving me 1400 Cals a day. My problem is peanut butter!! I LIVE IT! I try not to buy it but beautiful daughter just bought me a jar of meridian peanut and coconut butter for mother's day!! Aargh!

Dhalandchips · 01/04/2019 16:06

Not live! LOVE!

sar302 · 01/04/2019 16:29

I'm in please!! Three weddings between end of July and beginning of September, and at 16 months post partum, I cant claim it's "baby weight" for much longer...

I'm currently dead on 14st, so 13.7 for the initial April goal.

MercuryRising · 01/04/2019 17:35

Shadycorner is that you SC ?

Shadycorner · 01/04/2019 17:36
