Carrying on from the March thread (but all new joiners welcome), a fresh slate for April!

Please join me - all plans welcome (calorie counters, weight watchers, citizens of slimming world, intermittent fasters, eating-only-blue-food eaters). Here to support each other and aim to lose 7 pounds, or 3 kgs.

My starting weight for April is 65.1 pounds and getting to 62-ish or just under by the end of the month would be great.

Who is in?

Lovely to 'see' you. I have started following the organised mum method instead of flylady but will pop over for a chat x

Inchstonesbeatmilestones · 01/04/2019 18:57

Can I join please? Been trying and failing to lose weight, going up and down the same few pounds, but really need to get serious about it as I'm way too heavy at 13 stone 7. I dread going to my next drs appointment and getting told off. I'm eating between 1200 and 1300 calories a day and sticking to less then 10g of fat per meal. Also do c25k three times a week. Hopefully posting here will hold me accountable

StrugglingOn13 · 01/04/2019 19:02

Can I join too?

Currently at 9st 4 down from 13st 12. My goal at the moment is 8st 7 and it feels so so close.

Had a ‘bad’ weekend so th

StrugglingOn13 · 01/04/2019 19:03

Posted too soon Blush

Had a ‘bad’ weekend so think I’ll have a decent loss this week

Need to be kept accountable!

harper30 · 01/04/2019 19:05

Ooh I'm in please!
Just starting to try to shift some weight by September when I want to go try on wedding dresses Smile
Currently 84.2 kg
Goal at least 75 kg
Using MFP which is giving me 1700 and I'm still breastfeeding a 9 month old so don't know if I should add an extra hundred or two, or see how I get on with the 1700. If anyone has experience please let me know Grin

nixso29 · 01/04/2019 19:12

I'm in! Started the year at 11st 4lb full of promise of tracking calories and exercising x3 per week. Currently still 11st 4lb so that didn't go exactly to plan 😕 Have just signed up to the gym today and tracking calories at 1500 for this month to see how that works. Good luck everyone!

Chocolatepeanuts · 01/04/2019 19:39

Hi everyone I'd love to join you. Rollercoaster of a year already, I lost a stone at the beginning of the year through diet and gym 3 times a week. Then totally lost my way and have half of it back on again. Raging at myself. We have a wedding at Easter and a few big occasions in May. Weighed in this morning at 13 stone so I'll aiming to be back to 12 st 7 by the end of the month. I think I'll kickstart this week using MFP and lower calories than i normally use (1500) so will try and stick to 1200 just for this week. Im just in from gym and plan to go again Thursday and Saturday morning, both circuit classes.

VivaFrida · 01/04/2019 20:05

Welcome to all new joiners! Smile Flowers Smile Special thoughts to whose who struggle with MH sabotaging their efforts.

How did your first day go, everyone?

I am working away from home with many food temptations at my fingertips, but I made a plan and I am sticking to it!

Another challenge is how to get some exercise in; fortunately my hotel room is not cupboard sized (sometimes I get those...) and was able to have enough space to do a workout from youtube this morning and managed to get 12,000 steps in too.

First day done: TICK!

Great to see so many new people!

My first day was pretty good. I did a 1.5 hour walk and used the extra daylight this evening to plant up a little herb garden.

I find I don’t get that hungry when I eat food with lots of interesting, fresh flavours, so I’m using a lot of herbs at the moment. I thought it’d be fun to grow some myself Smile

MutantDisco · 01/04/2019 21:04

Me! Me!

I've been running 4K-ish twice a week since January, just started HIIT (I'm dead) and am trying to cut out all the shit from my diet.

I've lost no weight yet Grin but I fully intend to shift 7 pounds in April! I'm 10 and a half stone, should be 9ish (5'4'').

frenchonion · 01/04/2019 21:05

I'm in, if OK to join! 9st ish and would like to get to 8st6. Have been low carbing and lost half a stone, but fell off the wagon this weekend plus today and have eaten everything in sight. Masses of cereal, mini eggs, peanut butter sandwiches, 3 sugars in milky tea, dauphinoise potatoes, crisps, the lot. I'm generally a fairly healthy eater but I've just had a carb frenzy. So plan going forth is low carb as of tomorrow, but not too strict as I have been as I think it's caused an unhealthy crash!!! Onwards and upwards!

Mamimawr · 01/04/2019 21:40

First day went well, not too much temptation at home today as we need to go food shopping! Stayed on SW plan today and I have tomorrow's meals sorted.

AdventureTravelDreamer · 01/04/2019 21:58

Wow, so many joiners this month Smile

Good day here, on target calorie wise and a Body Attack class done so all good today.

I go on holiday a week on Sunday so some extra motivation to make a real effort to shift a few more pounds before them!

glenthebattleostrich · 01/04/2019 22:15

Hello, I lurked on the last thread but would like to join in properly.

I started a new eating and exercise plan on 4 March at 15 stones exactly. This morning I was 13 st 12. I go on holiday 2 weeks today and would love to get another 4-5 lb off.

I have 3 x 1hr sessions with my PT before I go and am strictly sticking to my keto plan. A week relaxing a bit then right back on it. My ideal will be to finish the month at 13 st 7.

sweetkitty · 01/04/2019 22:36

Can I join?
On my new scales I’m about 9st 7lbs on my old ones 9st 3lbs. I’m about 5ft 4ins with tiny wrists, arms, calves and ankles. All my weight is on my bum and hips.

Chocolate is my weakness, totally sugar addicted and self medicate my fibromyalgia with chocolate. Today have eaten lots of fruit and veg but still reached for a lot of chocolate. I feel sick with myself.

edwardson · 01/04/2019 22:44

Hi All! Can I join please?! Had lost a bunch over the summer but basically back where I started from Xmas onwards :/

Current: 10st3
Goal 9st4

I exercise loads but eat pasta by the bucket full, so the plan is no carbs at dinner and under 1200 net cals a day.

Good luck everyone!

keenwasalad · 01/04/2019 22:47

I'm gonna join too, if you'll have me!!

Currently 73.5kg
Goal 68kg

Problem is I'm living in a hotel for a month, have been here a week already and am really struggling come meal times. Room service + deliveroo does not a healthy diet make.

Hotel has a teeeeeny gym. One treadmill, one bike and a small rack of weights. I shall try to motivate myself in there.

I'm in a gorgeous European city though so maybe I should go for long long walks instead

Mamimawr · 02/04/2019 04:53

I"ve just checked my BMI, it's over 33. Obese. Blush
I really have to change. I get out of breath much too easily and I can see myself heading towards a diabetes diagnosis if things don"t change.

ZsaZsaMc · 02/04/2019 07:34

Hi everyone, I’m in for April.

Current weight: 9 stone 12.5 lbs
April goal: 9 stone 5.5

I started in February at 10stone 10 and doing weight watchers but my weight loss has definitely slowed down the last couple of weeks and i’d be thrilled to get to 9st 7. I’m 5ft 4 and carry all my weight around my bum, hips and thighs so whilst my clothes are fitting better I’m still a size 14 on the bottom.

Unfortunately I’ve got a big week planned (with lots of meals out!) so I need to be good where I can.

Best of luck everyone!

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 02/04/2019 07:51

I'm in. Looking to go from 86kg to 61kg - I managed to lose 3kg last week and was happily at 84; but had a meal out on Sunday and don't seem to be losing anymore despite doing a big walk to offset some of it and choosing well so I didn't go too far over my daily limit.

Managed the gym yesterday, rest day today but I'll try and get some decent steps in.

myidentitymycrisis · 02/04/2019 07:55

I weigh 58 kg so am aiming for 55
I exercise but still eat lots of crap like biscuits and crisps. I’m going to try low carb

behindlocknumbernine · 02/04/2019 07:57

Please may I join? I have managed to lose a stone (nearly) since January but it is painfully slow going.

I'm 6ft1 tall (1.83m) and currently weigh 121.5kg. (I am huge of nork and thigh)
I'm going on a school trip to an outdoor activity centre on the 20th May for 3 days (am a SEN TA) so need to shed some more excess weight else I'll keel over on the obstacle course....

If I can get to 118.5 by the end of April, and then ideally 117 before I go on the trip, I'll feel a whole lot more comfortable.

I'm not on any particular scheme as I can't seem to stick to anything rigid. So I'm calorie counting and I have realised that carbs are not my friend (I'll eat compulsively once I have had one biscuit), so have made a salad to take to school for lunch today...

aweedropofsancerre · 02/04/2019 08:02

Me too! I want to lose a stone. My downfall is wine and nibbles, not eating breakfast and lunch then simply grabbing a bar of chocolate or other rubbish. My fitness regime crashed and burned after two weekends of family and friend parties. So now back on it, no wine, fruit in bag for work

Dhalandchips · 02/04/2019 10:38

It's my son's birthday today. I don't have a problem with cake, don't like it, but we're going out for tea to a weatherspoons so planning on a steak with a pile of salad for damage limitation! I am fairly active, play a competive sport at least once a week and desperately trying to get to the gym more than twice a week...just can't exercise at home! Can't walk far due to disability but working ways around it ! Yesterday ended at 1340 calories...here's to today (currently drinking a M&S soya latte!)

Dhalandchips · 02/04/2019 10:44

There's a whole lot of emotional stuff but I've realised that carbs are NOT my friend. Actually acknowledged my carb coma the other night...not going there ever again!
