Good morning all, G'day, bonjour, buongiorno, kalimera and guten tag (other languages available on request), it's DAY 3, hello to all and welcome to the new joiners!
I am another one in favour of options chocolate, although while staying in a hotel I discovered Aero hot chocolate, it has 98 cals compared to option's 40 but it is about 10 times nicer and a real treat. I may swap to that one instead!
Having a quiet mint tea before I start my early am exercise programme (ouch) - day 2 went to plan and tonight my challenge is that I have been invited for early supper by a colleague and his family (I am working away from home for a few days) and I am going to have to rethink my eating strategy - I have had brunch so far and a light dinner which worked well - so I think I am going to have a lighter lunch, save some calories/points for dinner, and try to eat lightly without being rude to my kind hosts. Fortunately my stomach has shrunk so my legendary 'healthy appetite' (aka the biscuit monster) has diminished a bit.
Somebody (harper30?) previously asked about weighing frequency - I prefer weekly because daily feeds my obsessive steak and monthly would make me lose focus.
One thing I would add is, and I hope I do not sound too 'evangelic' by saying it, that I try to find 'intrinsic' rewards for this new lifestyle, this new way of eating (in fact, my old way of eating of which I lost track through life stress and challenges) as having more energy, sleeping better, coping more effectively with the day's workload, having a sunnier psychological outlook, rather than associating it only with external rewards.
Weight loss will be great but ultimately it's my inner/mental health I am looking after by eating well.
How did your day 2 go and have you had any challenges which you have overcome successfully?
