Camdenchips well done on your weight loss. Thats a fantastic loss.

Pocket your poor dd. Hope her leg mends soon.

Welcome to all newbies.

About to start work but will weigh myself later.

Have a good day everyone.

MissingPanda · 18/02/2019 07:35

Hmm.. should be an apostrophe in that's Hmm Must learn to preview.

PocketFullOfCrap · 18/02/2019 08:18

It's so easy to get into that cycle of not making any effort because you feel crap, then you end up feeling crap because you haven't made an effort, enjoy your pampering!

PocketFullOfCrap · 18/02/2019 08:19

Does everyone weigh on same day or as and when it suits?

camdenchips · 18/02/2019 08:23

Pocket, my weigh day is on a Sunday, purely because that was the day that I started this thread. It would be nice if we all had a mass weigh in on the same day, so I'm happy to change my weigh day.

OP posts:
PocketFullOfCrap · 18/02/2019 08:51

Mine is a Sunday too as I only started yday! Grin I will do a week first then don't mind changing if everyone is different as well

camdenchips · 18/02/2019 08:56

Which days do you all weigh in?

OP posts:
MissingPanda · 18/02/2019 10:17

I weigh on Monday. I weigh in using the scales in Boots which doesn't open on Sunday. Plus if I get a Sunday off I don't tend to go anywhere whereas if I'm off on Monday I'll get dressed and pop into town even if only to weigh myself. I don't mind being different if everyone else weighs on a Sunday. It's only one day out.

Peachteeshirt · 18/02/2019 11:42

Hello

Happy with Sunday too. One thought when we doing our weigh in we could also keep a running total how we doing against our individual targets - e.g. I need to lose 30 lbs,
Week 1 I lose 3 lbs (fingers crossed!) so I would show 3/30 - might not be for everyone but it would certainly keep me focused seeing me get closer to goal each week :)

Good luck all!

camdenchips · 18/02/2019 11:53

Peach i am up for that. Sounds like a good idea.

OP posts:
2018anewstart · 18/02/2019 12:16

I also have 30lbs to lose and love the idea of 3/30. And I am really loving this group. Apparently, one of the key points to lose weight successfully is to hae a good support network around you and for me I feel you guys could be it! Resisted the temptation to eat something naughty in work and had another glass of squash instead. Sorry if I dont reply individually once I start typing I can't scroll up to see the names but please dont leave anyone! Xx

2018anewstart · 18/02/2019 12:19

@camdenchips think the idea of doing something nice for yourself is also a great idea. I had a bath yesterday and painted my nails. Felt better in myself straightaway. ( I would like to point out I do shower every day! but a bath allows me a bit if me time. )

camdenchips · 18/02/2019 12:21

Ok so I need to lose 34lbs, yesterday was my first weigh in and I lost 6lb

6/34

OP posts:
camdenchips · 18/02/2019 12:27

2018 I had a bath this morning instead of a shower. It made a nice change, I can't remember the last time I had a bath. Only problem was that I could see all my fatness, you don't really see it when you are upright in the shower. Grin

MissingPanda · 18/02/2019 13:03

Weighed in and I'm 12st 3.1lb so not quite a lb but considering that I had a takeaway on Saturday I'm quite pleased with it. I'll work out what it is later. About to get off the bus and meet some friends.

PocketFullOfCrap · 18/02/2019 14:08

That's such a good idea peach, I'm also going to say week 1/2/3 each time too so by the time I get to week 10 I expect the first number to be higher!

I've also got 34 to go but would be happy with 30. The extra 4 depends on how I feel when I'm there!

2018anewstart · 18/02/2019 14:34

Just think of it if we can lose at 1lb a week in 30 weeks it sounds like the majority of us will be near enough at our goal weight. If you have more to lose 30lbs is a massive difference. Yes I can see my rolls in the bath as well looking forward to the day I can't! My aim for this week is to cut out snacking and drink my 2 litres of water a day. Going to come on here everyone I feel lile snacking...you may get bored of me ladies.....!!!

MillieMoodle · 18/02/2019 17:26

@mommymooo don't leave us! Sorry if I've not replied to your posts, I skim read the first few to catch up and now I'm into checking the thread properly.

Have been at work today and only had time to eat 2 weetabix all day.

I weighed in yesterday and happy Sunday to be weigh in day - was still 12 st. but am ok with that for now - in the past it's taken a couple of weeks for me to lose anything and then it starts, so I'm hoping it will be the same this time.

I'd like to lose 35lbs overall so I'm currently 0/35 great idea @Peachteeshirt

@camdenchips Love the idea of doing something for yourself each day too. I will have to think of some stuff to do for me!

Just got in from work so off to deal with kids/dinner but will check in again later.

youbethemummylion · 18/02/2019 18:17

My pub lunch was actually really easy because my friend took me to a pub that has a slimming world menu. Though they had to put the number of 'naughties' next to each dish rather than syns so they dont get sued!

MissingPanda · 18/02/2019 19:17

I like Peachteeshirt's idea but I'm going to backdate mine to when I started which was 28th Jan. I was 12st 10.6lb then and my aim is to get to 10st 6lb so that would be counts on fingers 32.6lb.

4th Feb - 12st 5.3lb
11th Feb - 12st 4lb
18th Feb - 12st 3.1lb

Week 1 - 5.3/32.6
Week 2 - 6.6/32.6
Week 3 - 7.5/32.6

I'll be sticking with the Monday weigh in. My work rota goes from Monday to Sunday so I tend to arrange the rest of my life that way. It's just easier.

2018anewstart · 18/02/2019 22:16

@missing panda wow you are doing fab already. I would love to achieve that in four weeks. Positives of my day: 2 litres of water drunk, 3 healthy meals eaten, no snacks until about 4pm where I have eaten about 20 sweets. Blush Realised I ate the first three mindlessly as the kids passed them to me then couldn't stop. Hardly any sweets left now in house so not buying anymore. My poor children. Going to just see if I can carry on with the no snacks in work again tom. Hope you have all had a successful day. Xx

camdenchips · 18/02/2019 22:54

Well that's another day done.

I have only ever thought about weight loss in stones, two and a half doesn't seem that bad. It is a huge amount when you realise that it's actually 35 pounds that you need to lose!

Night all.

OP posts:
MissingPanda · 18/02/2019 22:57

Thanks 2018anewstart Smile I always lose quite a bit in the first week then slow down a bit. So long as it goes downwards I'm usually okay with that.

Don't worry about the sweets. It's happened you can't go back and change it so put it behind you and forget about it. We'll all slip up at some point the important thing is not to give up.

MissingPanda · 18/02/2019 22:59

Camdenchips 35lb at a lb a week is less than a year. Night.

camdenchips · 18/02/2019 23:02

MissingPanda This is very true. That's a good way of looking at it. Still depressing though Grin
