I am starting a diet tomorrow, anyone care to join me.

I need to shift at least two and a half stone of lard, I feel hideous.

@Nicecupofcoco definitely a bad influence! Mine is a SAHD so moves around a lot more than I do during the day as he's chasing after a toddler, so he has lost weight since he gave up work. I have put a stone on since going back after mat leave.

@camdenchips painting nails to stop eating is a great idea!

Yesterday was great steps wise but not great food wise. Today will be better food wise and I will try and keep it great steps wise too. I'm out for lunch today with DS1 and a colleague so I will try to stick to something healthy from the menu!

Nicecupofcoco · 21/02/2019 08:37

Milliemoodle yes positive thoughts, today will be great day for you food and step wise! Enjoy your lunch out!
Have a good day everyone! Smile

PocketFullOfCrap · 21/02/2019 10:06

Ok, so having Tuesdays off is a baaaaaaad idea. I haven't actually got back on track yet Blush so won't be doing that again. It's 10am I've already had biscuits crisps and a cupcake (have been up since 4.30 and didn't get home from work til 12 so by time I actually got to sleep much later) I'm tired and just want to scoff.

Arghhhh heeeeeeelppp me. Yesterday was bad too though I did manage 15k steps!

Nicecupofcoco · 21/02/2019 10:11

Hi pocket!
Dont worry too much about your blip, you can get back on it I'm sure! 15,000 steps is good going though! Think of all the calories you'll have burnt!
So hard when your so tired, to stay motivated isn't it.

PocketFullOfCrap · 21/02/2019 10:35

Yup I'm going to draw a line and behave from now, just can't shake the stuff my face feeling.

2018anewstart · 21/02/2019 11:49

@Camdenchips painting nails is a great idea think I need to paint mine 24/7!

@pocket I know the feeling of eating to stuff my face I literally sometimes can't stop! But 15,000 steps is awesome. Get back on it today. I have been good since Monday even though I have had an hour of snacking when I get in from work. (Normally I snack all day so for me that's good) Yesterday at least they were healthy snacks. I felt so good when I got up this morning I couldn't resist popping on the scales. In the words of Julia Roberts -bigmistake, huge mistake! I've lost 0.1 of a kg! It almost sent me running for the biscuit tin but with the support of you lovely ladies I haven't. Hello to everyone else c'mon ladies we've got this!

camdenchips · 21/02/2019 11:50

Pocket for you Thanks

I would send you cake but that would be highly inappropriate!

You can do this, I know it's hard. X

camdenchips · 21/02/2019 11:55

2018. Keep on keeping on. The thing is you have lost weight, and that is the plan. You are doing really well so stay away from the biscuits.

We all want this to be a quick fix but it's not going to happen like that unfortunately. If you keep losing little bits it will eventually add up to a big bit.

Let's get through the day being good, we will feel so much more positive that way.

I'm hungry!

PocketFullOfCrap · 21/02/2019 14:26

I actually read that in Julia Roberts' voice! Grin don't let it get to you that's great you were feeling good, it's not official weigh day so it doesn't count anyway.

I've been good since I posted, skipped lunch to make up for this morning, will try to get as many steps as I can today too

Porridge with honey, jacket potato with beans cheese and butter, 3 fruit pastilles options hit chocolate. Missed dinner which was bad but had 5 snack a jacks houmous and a bowl full of grapes. I know I should have had dinner and maybe no butter and cheese on jp but anything else wrong do you think? Any advice appreciated I can take it! Just done 50 crunches, 50 Press ups (on knees) 100 bum clenches and 50 squats! Have no muscle tone anywhere. ..I'm wobbly. Seeing myself in mirror whilst doing this has stopped me racing downstairs for goodies! P's your comments this morning git me back on track..much appreciated. xxx

PocketFullOfCrap · 21/02/2019 23:55

Ah man I missed what it said before it got deleted

camdenchips · 22/02/2019 07:21

The deleted post

The poster was explaining how they were really struggling with their weight and how they had been searching the Internet for a weight loss solution, and claimed that they had found the answer. They were asking us to click on a link which took you to a website like Herbalife.

Nothing too exciting, they had posted the same link on a lot of the weight loss threads.

Oh I was hoping it was something juicy!

MillieMoodle · 22/02/2019 08:22

Morning all

Yesterday wasn't too bad - natural yoghurt and honey for breakfast, chicken blt for lunch and cheese and biscuits for dinner - the sandwich at lunch filled me up and then we were busy all afternoon. I did have some Galaxy chocolate last night but it's all gone now so I can't be tempted again!

Today I have had natural yoghurt and honey for breakfast. I have got some digital scales I bought a couple of years ago to help me with portion size so I have dusted them off and weighed the yoghurt and honey this morning to see how far off the suggested portions I am. Not too bad, but I definitely over estimate usually. I will stick to using the scales until I can work out portion size better.

I also need to up the exercise I do, but I find it so difficult to fit into our daily routine with two small children and working full time. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Nicecupofcoco · 22/02/2019 08:59

Morning all!
I had a good day food wise yesterday, then in the evening I was making some birthday cupcakes for a family member, bad idea, I ate 3!!! Blush in my defence they were only small, but still.
I did do some exercise though. Back to it today!
Well done all. Good luck today x

Moanranger · 22/02/2019 09:01

2018 Maybe look at upping fibre? That usually means veg,& lots of it. For example, when I have veg chilli, I do not get hungry for hours, & I don’tget that crashing sort of hunger.
I left Weds pm for an overnight stay &1 day conference. Two + hours of driving, which I can often end up snacking, but didn’t.Took my supper & breakfast (cuz I am not paying £11 for breakfast!) Finger buffet at conference, I was pretty good, ate moderately & loads of salad (only available on vegan table Hmm
Food plan for today, pancake with sugar free syrup, lunch is omlette & large salad, low fat dressing, dinner, bean, squash sweet potato enchiladas, rummage in veg drawer for what’s left, I think I have cabbage, celery, tomatoes (I really need to make a big pot of minestrone soup). I may go for a walk today.

2018anewstart · 23/02/2019 07:38

Weighday is looming tomorrow! I had a terrible day yesterday. Took the kids to see x factor but ate junk! However having read some if the comments on here am back on it! Going to eat more fibre as you suggested @moanranger. And do more exercise! A final push for weigh in day. Xxx

Embracethechaos · 23/02/2019 08:11

Hello, can I join? I've gone from 55kg pre pregnancy to 70kg with an 8 month old baby. I hate seeing my body in the mirror. November was the first time I weighed myself, didn't weigh myself during pregnancy, as I had anxiety anyway, didn't want another thing to obsess about. I breastfeed but was not helped at all with weight loss. Probably in fact, I thought it would help so I didn't try. Now I feel is a good time to focus on diet and excersize as my return to work has been delayed and I'm coming off a lowish dose of antipsychotic (which can cause weight gain) and its nearly spring so positive time of year. I used to love running. So I'm going out to buy New shoes today. I need to work on cutting down on sugar as I love chocolate!

Nicecupofcoco · 23/02/2019 09:11

Welcome chaos!
I know the feeling, I have a toddler now and still have alot of baby weight to lose!
Chocolate is my downfall too. Its all I want when I'm tired, stressed or just lacking energy.
Running sounds great! I'm trying to get out walking alot, it helps now weather is improving.

PocketFullOfCrap · 23/02/2019 09:18

I had 2 friends turn up yday with 4 bottles of booze and bags of food and goodies for all the kids. I could have been really naughty and scoffed but I did my best to play along but actually not have any of it so I'm feeling pretty pleased

MissingPanda · 23/02/2019 16:11

Welcome chaos

Well done for resisting Pocket that's an achievement in itself.

Started with a cold last night so all I want to do is stay in bed and eat crap. Sadly I'm at work instead. Roll on tomorrow at 9pm when I can go home and go to bed. I was thinking about starting c25k this week but will push it back to next week when I'm on annual leave.

Keep it up everyone. We'll get there.

PocketFullOfCrap · 23/02/2019 19:16

How long are your shifts?! Ouch!

I'm so aware it's weigh day tomorrow I've not so much as pinched a chip off dcs plate!
