I am starting a diet tomorrow, anyone care to join me.

I need to shift at least two and a half stone of lard, I feel hideous.

ScrumptiousBears · 11/02/2019 20:50

I'm tempted but my starting weight is far more than you guys Blush

youbethemummylion · 11/02/2019 21:11

ScrumptiousBears it doesnt matter where you start from its the same journey.

ImNotYourToy · 11/02/2019 21:52

I'm in! I need a massive kick up the arse.

I lost 4 stone previously on Slimming World but it is too expensive to continue and it is not a long term way of eating IMHO.

I am starting tomorrow a healthy eating regime and see how I get on! I am going to follow it in my own way. I will weigh tomorrow, then go from there...!

Good luck everyone. If I remember, I will also post my meal plans here too if that's OK?

Nicecupofcoco · 11/02/2019 22:06

Thanks panda!
Yes please to meal ideas imnotyourtoy!
Good luck every one!
Let's keep each other motivated!

MillieMoodle · 11/02/2019 22:12

I'm a bit late to the party but can I please join too?

I've got about 2.5st to lose to get to my ideal weight of 9.5st. Currently 12st which is the heaviest I've ever been. DS2 is 2 1/2 and I was around 11st 10lbs after him, but got down to 11st while on mat leave. I've been back at work 18 months and my weight just keeps going up as I'm sitting on my backside nearly all day.

I'm trying to eat more healthily and cut out the snacking. Also dropped sugar in coffee. Not really started doing any exercise yet, apart from a 30 minute walk 5 x a week. I've got 2 prolapsed discs in my lower back which are giving me a hell of a time at the moment so I'm really limited in what I can do! Also need to think about portion size but am trying to do things gradually so they are sustainable and become more of a lifestyle change.

My first goal is 11st 7lbs by Easter. Good luck everyone Grin

ImNotYourToy · 11/02/2019 22:14

Fab! I will post my meals and what I eat in a day, but if anyone thinks that I am eating too much or what I'm eating is not exactly healthy, please let me know?! I am following MFP as well so I can make sure I'm not over or undereating.

Pinkroseuk · 11/02/2019 22:19

Although my starting weight is a lot higher can I join in too? Started last November and lost 8kg but need to loose another 15kg ideally before March but appreciate that isn't going to happen now! So aiming for start may now when we have a holiday as well planned :)

ImNotYourToy · 12/02/2019 07:27

I've got my meals planned out for today;

Breakfast:-
Fruit & Fibre with a yoghurt and banana and a coffee
Total calories (432cal)

Lunch:-
Original Rye Crispbreads (2x)
2 cheese triangles (lighter)
Cucumber slices
200ml Apple juice
Aldi pea snacks
Total calories (326cal)

Snacks:
Mini pear
Latte sachet made with water
Total calories (108cal)

Dinner:-
Chicken Kiev
Rocket salad
Total calories (329cal)

So my calories for the day is 1,212 :)

I am going to do this! I've done it before and I will do it again, only this time I'm doing it with you all and with the help of MFP.

Good luck everyone. X

mommymooo · 12/02/2019 07:37

Hello nicecupcoco welcome.
So i saw my surgeon yesterday she can and will operate soon so that's good but quite scary news but in the meantime I'm still actively looking to be loosing weight. My tablets are helping as I can't exercise. I did have a curry last night but I was so hungry only had weetabix all day and was getting late.
So speaking to my blood test nurse yesterday morning about loosing weight she said try thinking these 2 phases "a mars bar may taste nice for 10 minutes but the body you want feels better forever"
"Nothing tastes as good as being in the body you want feels"
So I'm having them in my head today.
Let's keep it going ladies.

camdenchips · 12/02/2019 07:49

Morning all and welcome newbies.

I feel rough, I've had a headache all night which kept me awake. Am pretty sure that it is chocolate withdrawal.

It's my day off today thank god. Am going to drink more water, lots more water!

Good luck for today.

ImNotYourToy · 12/02/2019 07:58

Great news about your surgery @mommymooo

And your nurse is right! Eating chocolate and other junk stuff will only end up making you feel good for less than half hour, then you'll want to end up eating more and that's when we all go down hill from there... I know that feeling very well indeed! You can do it :) I am looking forward to finally eating healthy and getting back to myself again.

@camdenchips oh no that is pants! I remember when I ate a whole stack of pringles... (yes I know Blush) I felt so poorly and sick! I think because of the amount of salt it must've sent my blood pressure through the roof! Lots of water and a couple of paracetamol should do the trick.

I'm cutting down on sugar so I think I'm going to start feeling the withdrawal symptoms too as I usually have 2 teaspoons, I've cut down to half of a teaspoon now!

MillieMoodle · 12/02/2019 20:22

I've done ok today - forgot about breakfast, had a corned beef sandwich on wholemeal bread and a tomato for lunch. Dinner was 2 breakfast rolls - bacon, egg, sausage and mushroom. Not the healthiest but no snacks either!

Nicecupofcoco · 12/02/2019 21:46

Good news mommymooo! Yeah, that's very true what your nurse said!
Chocolate is definitely my downfall.
Not done too bad today though, I've managed to avoid snacking, and had fruit after dinner as something sweet!
Well done everyone.

Nicecupofcoco · 12/02/2019 21:56

Hope your feeling better camdenchips?

Imnotyourtoy i admit I'm not very organised when it comes to meal planning, I plan our evening meals each day, but during the day I tend to wait until I'm hungry and then decide what to have for lunch, bad idea as I tend to grab something quick.
So tomorrow I'm going to get more organised! Smile

camdenchips · 12/02/2019 21:57

I've done ok today too. I've had a relentless headache all day so haven't felt that great.

Managed to avoid buying anything bad in the supermarket. This was not easy as I was faced with Easter eggs and valentines chocolates. Bought myself a nail polish instead Grin

OP posts:
youbethemummylion · 12/02/2019 22:05

First time since starting SW ive felt hungry and eaten more than the 15 syns allowed so a bit dissapointed in myself. Although I did have syns left over from yesterday.

MillieMoodle · 12/02/2019 22:27

Hope you're feeling better soon @camdenchips, it's so hard to stick to healthy eating when you feel rough so well done for avoiding the chocolate; a new nail polish is definitely a wise investment!

@youbethemummylion tomorrow is another day - don't be disappointed, we will all have days where we haven't done as well as we'd like but that's what the rest of us are for - encouraging words, support, a slap - whatever's needed! Grin

ImNotYourToy · 13/02/2019 06:20

Is there anyone here calorie counting/using MFP? I am doing it but I'm really struggling. I've got 1200 which to me, really is not a lot! I'm only small so I shouldn't need that many calories but I was starving yesterday! I ate a cheddar and leek parcel (puff pastry) with lots of winter veg and sweet potato. So didn't really go to plan but I've done better than what I would usually do! Eat all the carbs in the world and more than 2 packet of crisps. Blush I controlled myself lol.

Nicecupofcoco · 13/02/2019 06:38

Could you maybe change the calorie intake to say, 1500 Imnotyourtoy? 1200 does sound very low.

camdenchips · 13/02/2019 07:45

Imnotyourtoy MFP tells me 1200 calories too. I was hungry last night but had run out of calories.

My Fitbit yesterday said that I had burned 1680 calories from midnight to midnight. Usually I would consume that amount on chocolate alone.

I'm hoping that it gets easier. I hate feeling hungry.

OP posts:
youbethemummylion · 13/02/2019 13:37

The lack of food is why I stopped trying and failing with MFP and moved on to SW.

mommymooo · 14/02/2019 11:26

I really can't do calorie counting drives me insane and I'm normally cooking 3 meals fussy hubby me going healthy and son having his favourites. I finally got my dates for my breast reduction yay so excited I'm like a 5 year old at Christmas I'm a 36KK I'll behave and won't count the boobie loss as weight loss hehe. My orlistat is definitely working my KG number has gone down again I love my doctor for finally agreeing to prescribe it. Let's keep it going ladies. Xxx

ImNotYourToy · 14/02/2019 17:15

I've given up on MFP. I am so hungry! I'm following my own healthy version now - kind of similar to Slimming world but still open minded about foods and not "synning" anything!

Breakfast was a bacon rashers (fat removed) in a wholemeal thin and a small squirt of tomato ketchup

Lunch was a jacket potato with chilli con carne, rocky salad, pear, satsuma and pea snack crisps

I had a banana when I got home from work

Dinner will be a Chinese takeaway as it is Valentines, but I will only have a chicken curry, some chow mien and boiled rice. No crackers, chips or anything heavy. I have to go bed after as I am working early tomorrow so I don't want indigestion lol.

Hope everyone has had a lovely day and week so far!

youbethemummylion · 14/02/2019 17:26

So my slimming world valentines tea will be seafood for starters I would usually have some bread and butter and seafood sauce with it but Im skipping that bit. Steak and salad for main course and Ben and jerrys Moo-phoria chocolate cookie dough ice cream for dessert. No alcohol because I would rather use the syns on the ice cream. Im taking the dog on a nice long walk first as well as im hoping for 2 pounds off this week so I can reach my 1/2 a stone milestone.

MillieMoodle · 16/02/2019 08:03

How is everyone doing?

Thursday I had natural yoghurt with some mixed berries for breakfast, a corned beef sandwich and a tomato for lunch and then an unexpected trip to TGI Fridays for dinner where I had a chicken ciabatta with bacon, cheese and chips followed by a cookie dough sundae. It was amazing Grin

Yesterday I had natural yoghurt and honey for breakfast, chicken super noodles and toast for lunch. Homemade chicken korma, rice and peshwari naan for dinner. I also had a mini twirl bar. Not a great day but I am definitely eating less than I was before.

Haven't lost any weight and am bloated all the time but GP thinks there might be something more going on, so am awaiting blood tests and an ultrasound to check if it's my gallbladder causing problems.

Hoping that my willpower stays with me today! Breakfast will be wholemeal toast, lunch probably a sandwich and dinner spag Bol. I really need to work on portion control though!
