Dashel did you mean to say "cake away" or was that your subconscious brain Grin

QuimReaper · 17/01/2019 17:50

"Cake away" Grin Wishful thinking!

Autumn a few days of crashing to get through a sticky milestone has worked for me in the past, I say go for it - it always works well for Hairspray with her egg fasts too.

Dashel I'm actually always surprised at how filling soup can be as long as you don't get silly with it and try and get by on half a tub like the packaging always seems to suggest! A whole tub of Yorkshire Provender roast chicken soup is my go-to dinner when MrQuim is out, and at just over 300 calories for the whole lot it's delicious and extremely filling! That's my plan for next week too - homemade soup from the freezer on Tuesday, and a tub of YP on Wednesday. We can be soup buddies Autumn Grin

Autumnnymph · 17/01/2019 19:59

Right ! Today was a write off as DD and DH got cake and champagne to celebrate. I obviously had to eat it - it would have been rudeness not to.

Soup diet starts Monday

Autumnnymph · 17/01/2019 20:00

@dashel soups fill me up very well - I tend to add a lot of vegetables.

It also helps me with cutting off the carbs.

OP posts:
Dashel · 17/01/2019 20:47

I must have subconsciously still been dreaming of cake!

Autumn I am not surprised you celebrated, but please get back on the wagon tomorrow.

Had fun at fit club and may hopefully have found a personal trainer. Can’t believe I am happy about that!

Hoolahoophop · 17/01/2019 21:06

Congratulations on the new job Autumn and enjoy the soup. I love soup could easily crash on that. When I'm.seious I have grapefruit for breakfast, soup for lunch, and normal dinner.

Hoolahoophop · 17/01/2019 21:09

Just realised I'm in a bread making course Saturday. This is not diet friendly. Confused

readyforsunshine · 17/01/2019 21:11

Well done on the job autumn!
Sounds like scrappy day quim 🙁

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 18/01/2019 07:12

Hoola a bread making course sounds great. Please let us know what you make.

This thread is turning into a bad influence with autumn' s lovely recipes, Mildred's and now bread.

I've been having a good week so far. I'm not managing 800 cals but I've been sticking to 1000-1200 and finding it relatively easy.

I got a bit derailed yesterday because I got stuck at work until 9.00 with no notice so ended up raiding the staff fridge and stealing some chicken and half a baguette. I'll replace it all this morning. Blush

I've got my parents arriving today so I'm not expecting to have a golden weekend.

QuimReaper · 18/01/2019 08:28

Hmm. Well, I've lost 200g. That's not terrible on a week with a weekday outing, and it probably would have been more if I hadn't attacked the fridge late last night Blush I only ate ham and a bit of cheese so not bad calorie wise but not part of the plan...! So no new kg bracket for me, but next week definitely.

My stepping's been compromised this week too, by work commitments moving around which has disrupted my timetable, and it being so damn cold. It's so hard to lose weight when it's cold!

Still. Next week is The Week.

QuimReaper · 18/01/2019 08:30

Also since MrQ is away I shall be reviving my summer tactic of sticking hazard tape over the fridge door between meals to stop myself snacking Grin

Autumnnymph · 18/01/2019 08:33

Hmm so i have gained another 200 gms which isnt surprising but I dont want to end up again on post holiday weight so I am going to start my soup fast today.

I will make up a pot of hearty veggie soup in a bit and make enough so I can refrigerate/freeze some. The soup maker shall be busy this week. Planning on a 7 day soup fast starting today.

QuimReaper · 18/01/2019 08:39

Hoola that sounds so fun though! I'm doing a tapas making class in a couple of weeks and I can't wait!

QuimReaper · 18/01/2019 08:43

Autumn cake and champagne weight will vanish pretty quickly, especially with a soup fast! I do admire you starting on a Friday Shock

I just had my weigh in and I have lost 1.4 pounds 🥳🥳🥳🥳

As I said last week, I have worked so hard for it, but that didn’t stop me doing my happy dance around the living room.

There is snow on the ground but I’m heading off to parkrun so have a productive day everyone 😄

@koko and @dashel well done with the losses!

Autumnnymph · 19/01/2019 09:40

Day 1 of soup diet done - weighed myself and I have lost 250gns since yesterday- I know it can come back in a snap if I don’t keep it up but felt good to see a quick loss.

Soup fast continues today - I am going to make up a lentil soup. We are going to the movies today so will carry my soup in a flask and will stay away from all the cinema snacks.

Have a good weekend everyone !

RavenLG · 19/01/2019 10:31

Congrats on the job Autumn!

And well done tho those with losses and are sticking to it!

I’ve been pretty good this week. Sticking to a breakfast of Greek Yoghurt and berrries, lunch is homemade soup and dinner has been a homemade meal trying to reduce portions and increase veg. Lost 5lbs since Monday! But I have a lot to lose so it’s a good step forward. Had a bit of a blip yesterday but sticking to it over the weekend (also helps that DP is out all day so I won’t be tempted to snack with him!!)

NanBoleyn · 20/01/2019 07:20

Hi everyone! I've been sticking to MFP and now down to 9st 8 which is 4lbs down from 3 weeks ago. Really happy with that. It's coincided with me starting dating again after 3 years so all good, just have to plan carefully to allow for meals/drinks out!
Just a 1lb off my first target (top of healthy Bmi for my height) so fingers crossed for this week. Going for long walk today so that should help!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 20/01/2019 07:37

Wow Nan are you me?!

I'm also 4lb down compared to my boxing day weigh in and 1lb outside of my normal BMI. I must be a bit lot taller though because I'm currently 11 2. Grin

And I'm also planning to get back into dating after 4 years single. It's my new years resolution. I haven't actually done anything to make that happen yet though Blush.

Please tell me more about your dating plans. Are you using OLD? How's it going?

Hoolahoophop · 20/01/2019 09:09

Wow, aiming for 800 terrifies me, sticking to under 1200 is amazing. Love a soup autumn I could easily join you in that one. Congrats on the losses. I'm down 1lb 6 on last weeks average with no calorie counting and a bake day so quite pleased.

On my bread course I made Pizza dough, Focaccia, and Ciabatta the Ciabatta could be my downfall it was lovely and easy and fun to make and tasted amazing.

Autumnnymph · 20/01/2019 09:35

That sounds amazing @Hoola !
I love ciabatta bread!
Where was the bread making course ?
