400 gms off today and am at 56.97 kgs so broke the 57 kg barrier - day 3 today and I am making myself a batch of vegetable soup with loads of spinach in.

I actually didn’t feel very hungry yesterday but did get a mild headache which is expected in a VLCD.

Hoping to keep this going for the. Eat 4 days so I get secure in the 56s

Glad it's working Autumn and this is perfect weather for soup. I'm having some for lunch next week just because it's yummy.

The bread was at a lovely little bake school in Southend-on-Sea, rough area but great school close to the station and parking. I'd recommend if your I'm the south east. They were called Delightful Tea Bake School. They also do introduction to bread, cream pastries, cakes, French breads....

Autumnnymph · 20/01/2019 18:59

@joola crashing hasn’t never worked for me before and I think that’s mainly because I haven’t had a plan for after -
This time I am determined to kee the golden streak going after I get off the soup fast and stay at 800-1000 calories for a week.

Day 3 out if the way - no loss today but holding steady at 56.9. While
It would have been nice to see a los - am just happy I didn’t fail off the soup wagon over the weekend.

Bring on day 4. Hope everyone has a good weigh in today.

Dashel · 21/01/2019 12:21

I think you are doing really well on your soup diet.

I used to weigh myself daily however I used to get frustrated if I didn’t have a loss every day so I now do it weekly instead and for me it works much better.

I have felt a bit down over the weekend. I have a few aches and pains from the exercise and although I was pleased I completed parkrun on such a cold day, it was more challenging than I was expecting and that made me sad.

I know I need to buck myself up and I haven’t fallen off the diet/exercise wagon yet, so that is something.

Autumnnymph · 21/01/2019 13:18

@Dashel you are doing so well plodding on with the diet and exercise!

I used to weigh weekly but I have found that doing it daily keeps me on the track more. I have learnt to discount the fluctuations and in fact find it interesting.

Day 4 is proving tougher - I have decided to do a complete wardrobe detox and its actually depressing how many things I have that i bought on impulse (including this weekend) and hardly wear. I have arranged for a charity pick up on Wednesday and am going to purge my wardrobe (including shoes) this week.

Then i am going to not buy anything atleast for two months. I just need to keep off the Style and Beauty threads and not look at @koko's shoes :D

@dashel well done on completing park run Flowers

I didn't make it this week because it was too cold. I like to tell myself when I have a bad run that at least I'm faster than the nearly 70 million who didn't even try Wink.

I've been weighing every day and using the weekly average on the fitbit app. It's great once you get used to it. It irons out the blood. I've consistently lost 1lb a week since Christmas which isn't loads but I'm only aiming to lose 7 so I'm nearly halfway.

Also today's Monday high is 2lb lower than last week's. Grin

I've had an ok weekend. Mostly stuck to my good intentions apart from a very lovely roast dinner yesterday. Back on it today.

Have a good week everyone Halo

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 21/01/2019 13:41
  • should say blips not blood Blush
poorpaws · 22/01/2019 00:05

Lost half a pound this week. I know it doesn’t sound much but considering I haven’t been able to exercise at all after my operation I am quite pleased that I lost something.

I am out on Wednesday and it will involve cake so I’ve got to be very careful the rest of the week so that I can at least lose something.

I am eating quite a lot of eggs at the moment (thank you hairspray) and I do find them quite filling and they are keeping me on track.

Hope everyone manages to have a good week.

readyforsunshine · 22/01/2019 07:13

Eggs are great paws, you can have them any meal in so many different ways, quick to cook, portable & even come in handy biodegradable packaging!
Dashel well done on the park run, love kickbishops idea that you’re faster than all those that didn’t run.
I’m down 1.2lb this week. Keep plodding in January is almost over & the days are getting longer, yay!

Autumnnymph · 22/01/2019 07:21

A tiny loss of 100 gms - so holding Stewart at 56.8. Day 5 of the soup diet today!. 1 kg lost this week

QuimReaper · 22/01/2019 11:37

Gosh, well done on the losses everyone! So happy for you Dashel and koko, and loving the weight loss twinning Nan and Kick! Sounds like you're smashing it with the Soup Crash Autumn (soup at the cinema is serious dedication) and well done on breaking your duck getting under 57. I'm sure you'll see another whoosh soon - Holding Stewart is half the battle Grin (Is Stewart the Anti-Linda, holding her at bay so you can make a getaway?)

Not much to report here, just got my leek and chicken soup out of the freezer to join the soup club this evening! I'm not sure it'll be a great one; I made it for DH and MIL's lunch in the slow cooker a couple of weeks ago and he was too hungry to wait, so I'm pretty sure he served it before it was ready Hmm

Fallen off the thread a bit after a birthday blow out that lasted a week Blush
But was back on it yesterday and about to run to work

Autumnnymph · 23/01/2019 08:38

Another super tiny loss but i have definitely lost inches around my waist as my jeans feel looser - will measure myself later today.

Day 6 and this is when I start adding some non soup food back - so excited :D

I have really enjoyed souping to be honest and it feels so warming i am considering soup as a breakfast every morning in a sipping consistency so i can take it with me on the tube and drink it on the way to work.

OP posts:
Hoolahoophop · 23/01/2019 09:16

What would you put in a breakfast soup Autumn? I love soup.

Hoolahoophop · 23/01/2019 09:24

Well done koko and paws, especially paws who post op has a huge excuse to eat! Grin

This week is proving tough. Pizza yesterday (the last of my home made dough) pie Monday that up bought to be helpful. Sausages tonight. I'll be lucky to loose any.

Dieting makes me antisocial. Work days I have fruit for breakfast, soup for lunch, fruit and veg sticks for snacks, normal dinner. This works well but I only work two days. On my home with the kids days 8 have lunch with MIL one day and Parents another so they can spend time with the kids. This means cake, rolls, bagels, hummus, mini cocktail sausages.....which throws my plan and means I'm denying myself later or just eating too much. My diet days end up being 3 out of 7. This is not a good plan.

Dashel · 23/01/2019 09:31

Congratulations to Autumn on completion of your soup diet and your loss of weight!

Congratulations to you for your loss.

Last queen even if you fall off the wagon you can always get back on it and we’ll done for running to work.

I went to fit club last night, it was freezing cold and I really didn’t want to go, but I went anyway and I’m glad that I did.

Autumnnymph · 23/01/2019 10:32

@hoola I like a smooth soup for breakfast so its easy to sip when commuting.

My favourites for breakfast soup would be lentil soup, chickpea soup, vegetable soup, carrot and coriander. If i don't have the time to make one at home, the Glorious range has some really nice light soups.

Wow, well done Autumn on completion of your soup diet! Whenever I've done crashes I quite often feel like I can "feel" more of a loss than the scales show, which is a nice change from it being the other way around Grin The awesome thing about what you've done is that you've armed yourself with so many delicious low-cal options which you know you can subsist on - that was what I got out of previous extreme pushes too, and also my phase of attempted low carb. It's always my argument against things like shakes, even if you manage to grit your teeth and survive the shake diet, once it's over you'll shudder at the sight of them.

Speaking of which, I had an unexpected bonus last night in that I got caught in the rain and got in frozen solid, and by the time I'd thawed off in the bath it was kind of late, so I skipped dinner and just had a miso soup and tea instead. I'd attacked the fridge a bit whilst the bath was running and had tonic water, so I just wasn't hungry. Also drank quite a lot of water, so hoping it'll give me a nice little boost on the scales on Friday!

Dashel freezing outdoor exercise is very inspiring, you're on a real roll! Well done!

Koko you seem to be on a roll too, it's so great to see you so positive and getting such great results. You've really got this, keep it up! Smile

Autumnnymph · 23/01/2019 14:32

@quim totally agree about getting back in touch with low calorie filling eating -
This is also the only way I cut down on carbs.

So I measured myself and ..... I have lost 1.5 inches around my waist and two inches around my jelly belly

Quite pleased. I had a toast this morning with some Hummous but feel quite full up now having a soup again for lunch.

QuimReaper · 23/01/2019 23:11

Amazing Autumn! Two inches is heaps! In how long?!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 24/01/2019 07:33

Morning morning!

I’m still here, still plugging away. Down to 8 stone 11 and a bit, so it’s going in the right way but very slowly.

Sounds like the soup fast worked really well Autumn!

Hoolahoophop · 24/01/2019 19:19

Yay to 2 inches Autumn. I need to focus. Really good all day, but toad in the hole with toasties tonight is not good.....and I just started making dough for fresh Ciabatta for tomorrow's lunch.....and I'm out for dinner in the evening. I'll have to be really good over the weekend. Sad
