Far from a golden day today as well :( I really need to get a grip from tomorrow or i will risk undoing all the good work I have done this week.
The stress/anxiety of starting a new job this week and PMS have made me make unwise choices. I missed lunch today due to a last minute client meeting and that just made me hungrier for rest of the day - all excuses I know! I am going to be better prepared for tomorrow.

I give you all leave to kick my ass if I continue making excuses next week :(

Quim I generally find night shifts ok, and I’m normally so busy I don’t have time to feel tired, but they do totally turn every biological process in your body upside down! I can understand why your friend does her fast days on hardcore shift days though, it sounds intense but they tend to go by faster that way!

Autumn I’m sure a few days of un-ideal eating won’t undo all your good work. Give yourself a bit of a break while you settle into your new job, I’m sure once you’re into the swing of it you’ll have more brain space to think about dieting Flowers

readyforsunshine · 30/01/2019 07:59

Would it help to meal plan? If you’re not doing already. I find it stops me making a rushed decision to have a cheese toastie when I’m starving if I had already got a plan for the days meals. I know that when I’m busy I find it much harder as I’m less organised with plans & groceries so last minute meal planning can often mean pasta, which obv isn’t a great idea when I’m trying to lose weight😬
Quim I’ve only lost it as it’s that awful extra excess that usually comes off quite quickly if you’re feeling motivated. I now have a stone that will be really, really slow I’m sure.
Your last little bit is the really hard slow bit. It’s so frustrating to knock those last few lbs as any deviation can mean a real delay to the process.

Autumnnymph · 30/01/2019 08:32

@realaunshine I do need to get better at meal planning - the problem though is I often have to go out of the office to meet clients or sort issues at a different
Location and in the rush I forget my lovely lunch sitting in the fridge. Today I
Have stocked my bag with nuts and protein bars to avoid a repeat of yesterday.

Well, DH had an annoying evening commitment yesterday so again I had an unexpectedly golden day and will have another tomorrow! If it doesn't yield results this time I'm going to eat worms. (And chips.) I have a tapas cookery course on Friday morning so will be kicking off a calorific weekend in majestic style, then people over for dinner in the evening!

Sea bream and veg tonight. What's on the menu for everyone else?

Hoolahoophop · 31/01/2019 08:41

Tapas cookery Quim that sounds amazing. I'd love to do that. We have sausage and mash tonight, I might have to skip the mash, am having a good week. Some kind of fish and veg tomorrow.

Last day of the month, how has everyone done. I started weighing on the 7th at 34.8 am 29.6 today. So happy with that. But my weekly averages for the month are all around 31 so I think I'm loosing in the week and gaining it all back over the weekend.

Fingers crossed I start Feb in the 20s as I'm working tomorrow when unusually off and my visitor today has cancelled so I'm more in control of my eating than usual until the actual weekend....sadly I usually end up starting the weekend Thursday as I have a regular guest who disapproves of diets and DH 'works' from home Friday's.

Hope there are lots of 7lb losses in Feb if we haven't managed in Jan. Wink

QuimReaper · 31/01/2019 09:41

I'll be weighing tomorrow Hoola, am (again) cautiously optimistic for a good result - do I ever stop saying that?! Grin I can't work out your weights, when you say 34.8 and 29.6, is that your BMI?

Autumnnymph · 31/01/2019 11:35

I will weigh in tomorrow as well and am
quite sure I will see a gain - am only hoping it’s not too much and I get into a routine in Feb. :(

Do we have a Feb thread yet?

OP posts:
Hoolahoophop · 31/01/2019 11:39

Doh, that's me skipping a digit Quim. I'm 129.6lb. Just another 18lb to go.

Hoolahoophop · 31/01/2019 11:42

I'd start the Feb thread but after waling with my 20 month old to the library a 5 min walk that took 45 min my thread title may be Slenderisters 7lb in a month. Stop faffing about and get on with it.
So maybe better if I leave it to others. GrinBlush

@kokoloco - Valentines day is around the corner - lose the love handles ? Grin

So i gathered all my courage and weighed in today - the good news is it could have been worse - I have gained back the whoosh and am on 57kgs. (ugghh) but I was expected it to be much worse.

Going by weekly averages I have lost around 3.3 pounds which isnt bad but it could have been better.

Keep going everyone, we are only going to succeed if we keep making good decisions and learn from our mistakes.

So January for me has been great, I lost a total of 5.5 pounds and have run my longest run which was 4.5 miles, I have done lots of walking and cardio and from a health point of view January has been successful and I completed dry January 😀

I wanted to finish January on a high so did a 4 mile run yesterday and to start February I went for a speed 1.4 mile run, it was snowing and freezing cold but I did it.

First weigh in for the new month is tomorrow so fingers crossed for a good result 🍀

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 01/02/2019 17:43

Have we got a new thread yet? Not that I've got much to report. I found out today I didn't get the job I went for. Currently drowning my sorrows with chocolate Confused

Autumnnymph · 01/02/2019 18:08

@kick sorry about that - while am sure it’s depressing, it just means it wasn’t the right place for you - something awesome will come along soon which is just right for you.

No new thread yet - am still at work - I can make a new one once am done if no one else has done it first.

Dashel · 01/02/2019 20:59

Sorry to kick for not getting the job. Something better will come along soon x

Hoolahoophop · 02/02/2019 09:25

Sorry about the job kick. Hope the chocolate helped.

Dashel · 02/02/2019 10:29

Weigh in today and I lost just over a pound so total weight lost is 6.5 pounds however I’m feeling a bit crap so I missed parkrun. Still need to get moving and go out for a walk.

I know all the hard work will be worth it in the end , my jeans have gone from being to tight to needing a belt.

Autumnnymph · 02/02/2019 11:28

Palak Paneer and palak pulao served in restaurants are mere cream laden curries loaded with spices. It is really a good idea to make palak paneer at home. I love these two recipes that I always follow

palak paneer- www.sanjeevkapoor.com/Recipe/Palak-Paneer-khazana-of-indian-recipe.html

one more is this one www.cookclickndevour.com/palak-paneer-recipe-restaurant-style/

Apart from these you can easily add rinsed spinach by a handful to all curries, stir fries etc
