Anyone in?

Im doing dry jan which will help, better meal planning, and upping the water intake. No official "plan" in mind yet but will look to choosing one soon.

Im weighing in Jan1st, currently just shy of 14stone. I need to hit 9 1/2 to hit a healthy BMI.

What y’all eating today?
I have a veg omelette for lunch ( courgette, grated carrots, peppers, sugar snap peas ), an apple and a banana. I only take half an hour lunch break so it’s quick and easy to heat.

For dinner, we got seabass and vegs ( spinach kale and green beans ) and rice. I eat a lot of rice!
Will also have a cracker and cheese after dinner.

Tulip same here as must be all the fibre we are eating!
Fridge that’s how I started running a few years ago. Just in loop in the park with my husband.
Have you looked into following the couch to 5k programme?

PrivateCello · 09/01/2019 09:15

Eat not heat!!

AFridgeTooFar · 09/01/2019 09:22

Cello yup- it's been downloaded in my phone since January last year! 😂

PrivateCello · 09/01/2019 09:24

Will you be following it? Or just make up your own?

AFridgeTooFar · 09/01/2019 09:25

Food wise- I feel like crap today. Still bloated and sickly. I may have a smoothie later on, but I can't imagine eating ANYTHING today!

I feel so rotten, I've even checked the Alphabite ingredients for egg/dairy!

Pinkroseuk · 09/01/2019 09:34

Toast for breakfast again!
Lunch- yoghurt (and small mince pie) not healthy but can't waste it 😂
Tea- cauliflower cheese with sausages (roasted so no fat added)

Seems fairly okay- lost some weight since yesterday and will do walking and workout tonight again :)

HermioneWeasley · 09/01/2019 10:02

YES! According to my GP weigh in this morning I’ve not put on weight since last March (I was wearing the thinnest, lightest clothes I own...) so got a repeat. That gives me 6 months to tackle this meaningfully. I did go out and celebrate 10 days of restrained eating by having pancakes and bacon though.

My scales are still saying 12:6 after 10 bloody days, but I’m sticking to the premise that if 8 do the right thing the weight will follow eventually

Simonsaysitschristmas · 09/01/2019 10:32

Congrats @hermione Flowers funnily enough my scales also seem to be stuck at around 12st6 - hopefully I will see below that in a few days Smile

TulipsInbloom1 · 09/01/2019 12:46

I'm just on leftovers from last night's dinner for lunch but I've rammed it in quick so I can fit in a 15min walk (30 min break).

Food shopping tonight so will restock all the healthy fruit and veg. No idea what dinner will be yet

AfridgeTooFar Yes you can absolutely run in the park. When I first took up running I started off by running around the local park. Do however make sure you get yourself a real good pair of trainers.

Food for me today
Breakfast, 2 slices of toast (only had jam on 1 slice which is good for me) black coffee
Lunch was ham salad sandwich, few sweet chilli pea crisps (not sure I like)
Dinner is going to be chicken Kiev with tenderstem broccoli, peas, green beans and carrots
May have a milkybar yoghurt for dessert (I swear I buy them for the dc but I love them!)

29km on the exercise bike this morning before dh left for work 😃 and I shall run later if I feel like it

SusanWalker · 09/01/2019 15:39

So far so good today.

Toast and low fat pate for breakfast.

Chicken salad wrap followed by a banana with a dollop of low fat creme fraiche for lunch.

A piece of fish, chips homemade with spray olive oil and veg for dinner.

Planning on some little oranges and a pear for snacks to up my fruit and veg. I need the vitamins as I'm still struggling with a cold.

surferjet · 09/01/2019 15:49

So far so good. Almost 4pm & I’ve managed to stay off the chocolate!
( Although evenings are always my downfall I’ll stay determined !! )

Neoflex · 09/01/2019 16:55

I lost my first kilo! Always catch up on this thread while I am at the gym and it is so motivating to read what everyone is doing

BeetlebumShesAGun · 09/01/2019 17:05

Can I be thick and ask how I find the Facebook group please? And to be added to the spreadsheet?

I’m really sorry! Blush

WhenCanISleepAgain · 09/01/2019 19:00

Well done others updating today. Sorry I dont know how to help beetlebum but I’m sure someone else will. I did C25K in November/December Afridge and agree with others - go for it in the park!

I’m not having a great day today. I got DH to take some photos of me and DS (11 months) and there’s something about seeing a photo which makes me realise how far I’ve got to go. Feel sad because I don’t have as many photos as I’d like of me and DS because I’d most often rather not have my photo taken - which I know I shouldn’t care about, but I do. Food choices today haven’t been brilliant but I haven’t gone completely overboard which is positive. I really want 2019 to be the year I change this!

CarrotPuff · 09/01/2019 19:01

I can't seem to be able to open the spreadsheet even, can anyone just put in 0 loss for me for this week please

Simonsaysitschristmas · 09/01/2019 19:05

Oh, I didn’t realise there was a spreadsheet Blush Blush please can I be added/ join in?

PrivateCello · 09/01/2019 19:22

Ended up eating pizza! Not happy!

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 09/01/2019 19:31

WhenCanISleepAgain - I am in the same position. DC2 is 10 months old and I hardly have any photos with me in, because I look so rubbish. I know I’ll regret it in the future though. Hopefully the next few months will be a turning point for us both Smile.

Not an amazing day food wise, but at least I’m doing well at sticking with my gym routine. It does bugger all for my weight, but makes me feel stronger and happier Smile.

StealthNinjaMum · 09/01/2019 19:34

Not a good day. Stupidly weighed myself this morning and I've put on weight despite eating very little yesterday. Have eaten lots of fresh veg today and drunk more water but still feeling bloated and slightly constipated. Will just keep going with the heealthy stuff I suppose.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 09/01/2019 20:08

Thank you TheGruffalos! Lets look to make things different in 2019.. I’m going to book some kind of family photo shoot when I get near goal.

Well done for keeping going stealthyninja and hope you have a better day tomorrow cello.

wizzler · 09/01/2019 20:10

I am feeling very tired.. not sure whether it is because I am back at work after a ten day break or because of my change in diet
Dd aged 12 watched me carve lurpak as if it was cheese for my jacket potato and challenged me to go a month without butter. Challenge accepted but giving up choc and lurpak may prove to be a step too far

meow1989 · 09/01/2019 20:22

Out the window today - needed carbs so have had a big plate of pasta with butter and meatballs followed by cookies 🤦🏻‍♀️

TulipsInbloom1 · 09/01/2019 20:39

WhenCanISleepAgain
I have hardly any pictures of me with the kids. The ones I do have I'm so critical of what I look like in them (not round the kids obvs!). I keep motivated by thinking of all the lovely photos I will get next Christmas.

Hello!

This week is dragging. Everyone at work is struggling with being back in the office.

Food wise, all going fine. Keeping to very quick, plain repetitive meals for the week. Not finding it too hard yet. Planning to go wild on the weekend and add some nuts and olives to my salad.

Keep on trucking folks!
