Anyone in?

Im doing dry jan which will help, better meal planning, and upping the water intake. No official "plan" in mind yet but will look to choosing one soon.

Im weighing in Jan1st, currently just shy of 14stone. I need to hit 9 1/2 to hit a healthy BMI.

Agree with you all on photos. I do a Book if the year for my mums birthday, and there is hardly ever a photo of me in it.
( if I ever get lost I wonder what they would stick on a lamp post?!)

Yerroblemom1923 · 09/01/2019 21:12

2xapples, 2x kiwis, 1 banana, 40g oats, 200ml fat free yoghurt, frozen raspberries, mushroom omelette, crispy kale.

LittleDoritt · 09/01/2019 21:53

Still ploughing on here. Hoping for at least 3lbs next week. Massive bowl of porridge with berries for lunch and then a beef/ cabbage/ sprout/ potato concoction for dinner. Running really low on money post-Christmas so I think a few days of lentil soup are in order

ItsClemFandangoCanYouHearMe · 10/01/2019 06:33

Morning all 👋 really seen some sudden progress! I'm normally very bloated but my skirts are falling down a bit and I've lost 6.2lbs in total!
Eating loads of quorn salads for lunch and a friend at work has given me a slimming world 'cheat sheet' of loads of things that are surprisingly low so which is really helping with variety.

I've been trying to ditch bread and potatoes and replacing with lots of green vegetables. I'm starting to look a lot less like a barrel 😁

AFridgeTooFar · 10/01/2019 07:01

Morning warriors!

Bad day yesterday (head, not food). Had to go off air for a while.

I'm walking the 6 miles to work...will check back in mid morning and catch up.

😘

LittleDoritt · 10/01/2019 07:03

Well done Clem!

Fiontar649 · 10/01/2019 07:14

Well done Clem - that's the kind of boost you need on a diet, a "whoosh" of weightloss every so often, to keep you motivated.

I must remember to re-read this when I am struggling.

I won't be home until late this evening, so need to have a wee think about the food options I have while out and about.

Enjoy your walk Fridge

mrbob · 10/01/2019 07:32

Good going Clem :)

wizzler · 10/01/2019 08:05

Well done Clem, and hope the walk goes well Fridge.
Dh does all the cooking in our house. He has just confessed that he doesn't know what white carbs are, so when I have said I am trying to avoid them, he has just carried on regardless!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 10/01/2019 08:07

Not a whoosh (well done Clem!!) but I’m down a pound this morning! Smile

It’s the same in our house wizzler

AFridgeTooFar · 10/01/2019 08:25

Halfway through my walk, I realized I'd left my water bottle at home.

The nearest place to buy bottled water was Subway...

I went in...

And bought bottled water!!!!!!

And I wasn't even tempted!!!!

GreyandGrumpy48 · 10/01/2019 08:30

Brilliant Clem. Is anyone else having a day 10 slump? Feeling tired and dispirited and like hibernating under a blanket with a metre of Jaffa cakes until spring has arrived. I know this is where I quite often give up and I really don’t want to-not seeing any daylight definitely doesn’t help. Sorry for the pity party

AFridgeTooFar · 10/01/2019 08:41

Grey you got this. ❤❤❤

mrbob · 10/01/2019 09:09

Today is just one day and tomorrow you can wake up feeling totally different. And if you can stick to the diet today you will feel even more proud of yourself! And if you can’t then worse things have happened and tomorrow you can begin again but it will make you feel sad and that is not good for you

GreyandGrumpy48 · 10/01/2019 10:12

Thanks Fridge and MrBob for the support.

TheGruffalosLoveChild · 10/01/2019 10:13

Grey - I’m the same. It’s 100% because I was up all night with the kids, so I’m trying to remember that tomorrow may be better and I need to try and not sabotage things today. I hope you’re able to pull yourself through Smile.

Fridge - Well done with Subway. Good work!

Clem - That’s an amazing loss so far. Well done. Keep up the good work!

When - Good stuff. A pound is not to be sniffed at. I would happily take a pound right now. As I keep saying, a loss is a loss!

AFridgeTooFar · 10/01/2019 10:56

Omg...today is FANTASTIC!

I've walked into work.

I've been doing wall-sits while having a ciggie outside.

I even managed to fit in a few squats at my desk! People here already known batshit- they never batted an eyelid!

I was going to fit in another walk at lunchtime- but instead, is like to figure out how to get some strength exercises in. More important to me than cardio atm. There's a low wall here for me to do push ups on, and I could even fit in a plank!

TulipsInbloom1 · 10/01/2019 12:46

Fridge you are doing so good. And motivating me, and no doubt others, to keep going.

I had a banana for breakfast, and currently eating one of Aldis vegan pots for lunch. Nice.

@Tulips@ day ten for other people will be like Day Four for me: it'll suck donkey balls. That, and week three. We need extra motivation in week three.

TulipsInbloom1 · 10/01/2019 12:58

Maybe we should all plan some individual treats for week 3? I think on completion of week three I will treat myself to some new bed linen. I've been thinking about chucking it all out and starting fresh so am going to purchase a beautiful new set.

AFridgeTooFar · 10/01/2019 12:58

I'm putting together one of those "feed your family for fuck all" plans for work atm (CAB). I'm scrolling down all of the frozen veg, and thinking I may have to take a trip to Aldi on the way home!

TulipsInbloom1 · 10/01/2019 13:07

AFridge you should follow £1 Meals; Miguel Barclay on Instagram. He makes amazing dinners and they are all £1 A portion max.
