Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

Well done life, nice macro management. Day 1, and around 150 over. It’s still a drastic improvement on my last 2 weeks. Just under on protein and hit my fibre so I’m happy enough with that. The kitchen is closed!

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/01/2019 20:11

I've just had my bran stick which were surprisingly satisfying. And 47 Cal of chocolate ice cream

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/01/2019 20:25

This is my first day, not really great, but hopefully when I'm back to a proper routine it will improve.

Day 1 though. That's not bad bad.
In the words of prof Brian "things can only get better, can only get better."

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 02/01/2019 20:56

Thanks life, yes it will get better, it has to really, will just need to be mindful that I get enough protein.
I also need to be mindful that I check my spelling before I post, all my pp have had a spelling mistake or two!

I'm also going to look for another smart watch, the one I have doesn't link to my phone or mfp. Really it is just a step counter and watch. So I would like one that did link as we are not allowed our phones on us at work and I think that would be better.

Cagliostro · 02/01/2019 23:42

Left the house for only the second time since 23/12 😳 nice walk down to Caglets’ tae kwon do lesson and back.

Not doing brilliantly with food, but could be much worse as I’m choosing better.

Happierwithouthim · 03/01/2019 10:26

I've achieved 1 of my 3 aims at top of this thread, I'm in the weights section of the gym Grin size 12 in clothes, but some are loose so hopefully size 10's aren't too far away, the weight loss I'm about a third of the way there.

Yesterday
Starhit my calories spot on
StarI was 6g short on protein but I was over the previous day so I'm ok with that.
StarFibre 27/35
Star Water 3.15 litres/3.2 litres
Star 1 hour in gym and a total of 7952 steps, it was my first day back to work so I didn't push myself to do my 10000 steps
Today
Having All Bran and Malted Wheats for breakfast/10am snack so that's giving me a fibre boost of 18g straight away GrinHalo

What's a bran stick life?
curvy you don't need to have your phone with you all the time for Fitbits, Team RH are also doing a tracker now. I bought a cheap Fitbit Charge HR on ebay and it's basic but does what I need it for.
I would like to get a nicer more watch like one though.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/01/2019 11:55

Happier, well done!

Re the fitbit/smart watches, my phone is a Samsung A3 (2016) and many of the smart watches don't link with it.

WreckTangled · 03/01/2019 12:08

I did my yoga last night. Am well as truly shit at it but I'm doing it at home so only dd could see me Grin will do it again tonight. Have had soup for lunch and might have half a mince pie now.

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2019 13:04

That’s great progress in a few months happier, I must do something like that. My scales was 165 this morning, my last recorded weigh in was the 20/12 and I was 159. Anyway it’s faced now so I’m moving on. Apart from a bit of a cold I’m feeling quite positive, going to go for a walk soon or go on the treadmill. Meals pretty much planned. Could do with a decent protein powder, might go to H&B

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/01/2019 13:44

Wreck, what kind of yogo do you do? I really can't afford to go to the gym and need to do some other exercise apart from jogging.
I have restarted C25K, but from week six and have done 3 of the second runs so far and feel pretty good about that, I knew I wouldn't be able to go straight back to doing the 5k, I need to build my stamina again.
Not, that's a really positive attitude to have, I need to look at my protein.
Happier, I think I remember you talking about HR before, but what does it involve?

WreckTangled · 03/01/2019 13:52

Curvy I've just started the 30 days of yoga with Adrienne. Hopefully I manage to continue! I like her because she keeps saying 'don't worry if you can't do it you're here doing your best and that's the main thing' a bit cheesy but quite soothing!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/01/2019 13:57

Thanks Wreck, is she on YouTube?

WreckTangled · 03/01/2019 14:00

Yes it's all free on YouTube Smile the first two (yesterday and today) are 40/50 mins long but after that they're only 20. Dd did the whole thing with me which was nice.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/01/2019 14:25

Thanks Wreck I will check her out. Aww so cute that dd did it with you too

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2019 17:38

Bran as in bran but in a stick shape not a flake. The cereal stuff.
Well done happier.
Good effort everyone else.

10,600 steps so far today. Did 45 minutes Pilates at lunch.

WreckTangled · 03/01/2019 18:15

I haven't done great today Blush

Four black coffees
Homemade soup
1/2 mince pie

Homemade chorizo spaghetti in tomato sauce with a bit of cheese
Three mini malteser reindeer

No water BlushBlush

Yoga in an hour

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2019 18:46

Sounds fine wreck, doesn’t sound like a lot of food though, here’s mine:
Breakfast
40 gr of All bran with 125 ml semi skim milk
Lunch
Peppered sliced Beef 43gr/sliced turkey - 48gr/reduced fat cheese 25gr/gherkin & mustard toasted whole meal sandwich
Snacks
Packet of onion rings

Protein shake made with 20gr of powder/coffee/100ml of semi skim milk

Slice of wholemeal toast with a little butter & jam
Dinner
Chicken breast (153gr) baked potato (150 raw) 15gr full fat mayo

Small pack of buttons & choc chunk cookie

And another 70ml of milk with 3 coffees.
Oh and an apple😬

Just under 1600 cals. Not bad eh? Just over 14,500 steps, 3 litres of water counting tea/coffee as well as water

Not2bObvious · 03/01/2019 19:02

Crikey when I read that back! Amazing how much food you get into 1600 cals

Happierwithouthim · 03/01/2019 19:11

Oh ya life that's what we know as all bran here, I've convinced myself to eat in with some almond milk flavoured with vanilla protein powder but I don't love it.

Ooh wreck I like the sounds of your dinner. I picked up some quorn ready meals this evening while grocery shopping

Fantastic amount of food not2
I've half that amount of calories spent on a bowl of cereal & toasted sandwich Hmm
But that's from 6.30am until now without being hungry until 5.30pm so I guess it's ok. Doing grocery shopping when hungry though isn't such a great idea!

Ooh we need a new thread!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2019 20:03

Haha that's cos you get Kellogg's. I get the Sainsbury's stuff which they can obviously just call bran. Grin
I don't mind it straight from the box tbh. Or slathered in Aldi fage

That's great not. I wish I could get more food into 1600. Just eating to macros at the minute so not a great range.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/01/2019 20:04

The soup and the spaghetti dish are ok wreck.
It's doesn't sound like allot unless you eat off a bin lid size plate

WreckTangled · 03/01/2019 20:20

It was a big portion of spaghetti life! Plus the chorizo, homemade tomato sauce, olives and cheese probably made it quite high in calories.
