Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

I'm only getting up now.

Happierwithouthim · 27/12/2018 17:34

Was at the pool debates Team RH or misfit tracker to track calorie burn/steps Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/12/2018 18:10

Did a clear out of some of the garage attic. Must have burned some calories there

Happierwithouthim · 27/12/2018 18:38

Definitely life
I did half of DC's clothes there & hoping for the same!
Dd has shot up so might take her shopping in next week or so

Happierwithouthim · 27/12/2018 18:38

Decluttering is taxing on the brain isn't it HmmWink

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/12/2018 18:41

It is. I need to get past the sentential and the waste of money aspects. Le sigh

Happierwithouthim · 27/12/2018 18:54

I'm the same but I want to sell this house & will be moving to a smaller one so stuff needs to go. It's annoying to be decluttering his stuff too. Like a dogs bowl & collar that they had for 4 months kept in a box Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/12/2018 19:19

If only brain work counted for steps.
It's galling but ikwym, means to an end. Shame you can't just box it up and dump it at the other house. Pick your battles though eh
We just have so much shite. I also don't want to move it when we move

Happierwithouthim · 27/12/2018 19:57

That's what happened here life in this house there's stuff from my childhood, stuff from his first marital home, stuff from his parents home and our stuff.
It will not move to my next house.
I'm filling his wardrobe with stuff that's exclusively his. I'll tell him it's there when it's full or it suits me.

Happierwithouthim · 27/12/2018 19:59

Wardrobe is another place I need to declutter but as I'm slimming back down I also don't want to.

My dsis is coming tonight going to get her to do calliper readings & that jazz for me in the morning though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 07:38

Good yea we have childhood stuff, stuff from parents/ grandparents/ fad hobbies. Surf board? We are 45 minutes drive from the sea.

Well you won't need your fat clothes any more certainly.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 07:44

Not doing the gym. It will make me feel better I think but I'm also on the edge of getting the cold that dh and dd have. Doing a tough class will not help.

Are you re signing for boot camp next year happier?

Happierwithouthim · 28/12/2018 09:40

I'm not sure life I think I want to but also feel it's wasting a month of my gym membership iykwim I can't do both, but could use gym at weekends of it I suppose. It's not been advertised yet anyhow for new year.

Dd asked what we would do with her old bike & suggested photographing it to sell Grin

Yes bigger clothes can go Grin

Happierwithouthim · 28/12/2018 09:40

Definitely not a good idea to gym it when you're on the cusp of that.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 19:07

Didn't gym it. Went for a seaside walk instead. Chippy tea.

January time table is out. Going to aim for 3 body pump a week, 1 core Pilates, 1 Zumba (with a pal, not my first choice).
Walkh to and from work 30-40 mins depending of I go to school too.
Back on my 1600 cals.
Should be good again.

Toyed with rejoining when the app is out but apparently will still need Facebook for the coaching and wanted to delete Facebook. £49.99 for the year isn't it and one associate was advertising 5% off.

Happierwithouthim · 28/12/2018 19:24

Sounds like a nice day.
We ate out too, I'd goats cheese salad Halo I love it in this particular restaurant. I'd chicken fillets out for dinner so gotta cook them anyhow because I'm away for weekend & I defrosted them. Will make curry using instant pot & they'll be ready for when I'm back to work.

Dsis showed me how to use different things at the gym, my arms will hurt tomorrow.

5 exercise classes a week - great going

The app isn't on Apple so I'm staying on my £3.50 monthly membership until it's sorted plus can't pay by direct debit because I don't have a U.K. address so will see how it goes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/12/2018 19:28

They are only 30 or 45 minute classes.
Defo don't come off the £3.50 membership. I wouldn't if I were you.

Happierwithouthim · 28/12/2018 21:30

I won't unless the app is brilliant, it's still not expensive at £4.99 a month though

Not2bObvious · 29/12/2018 06:52

You guys are pretty much saying what I’m querying about the app. Like you happier, I’m only paying £3.50, I had no idea the app wasn’t available for iPhone (don’t think that’s widely known!) and I don’t want to pay nearly £50 up front cause I’m in Ireland. Anyway I know myself, if I do 15,000 steps, I can eat 1700-1900 & lose. If I do 10,000-12,000, I can eat 1600-1800 & lose. I think I’m tuned in enough now to know I need to get off my arse & eat a consistently moderate amount of cals.
I’m so puffed up & my jeans are tight. Away at the moment so lots of walking but lots of eating out. I’m enjoying it, no shame, no guilt. My exercise is en pointe, my food will be shortly😉

Happierwithouthim · 29/12/2018 06:57

Not2 I didn't realise we couldn't continue paying monthly, I guess it doesn't work out that much more using 5% affiliate code but it's still not something I want to pay upfront.

I read it in comments somewhere that they've not got approval from Apple yet. It was said by Richie himself.

Happierwithouthim · 29/12/2018 06:58

Yes experience of doing this a while means we know what to do. I'm liking that they're be an exercise section on it alright but that's not essential.

Alwayscheerful · 29/12/2018 07:45

Regular lurker, I am guessing you are talking about MFP app? I have the app on my iPhone but I am currently using the free app on my iPhone. Does anyone recommend the paid app? how does it work?

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/12/2018 08:05

No, no the £50 is the annual, upfront membership. Sorry didn't mean to confuse.
I imagine that the team app will be free.

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/12/2018 08:07

Hi always. No it's not mfp. It's a coaching app we are discussing. No need to pay for mfp I don't think

Happierwithouthim · 29/12/2018 08:36

We use free mfp no need to use paid version at all imo free one has plenty of useful data.

My sis has an app from her coach, it retains the weights she used at previous session so she knows what to use next session, not sure what else. She can't stand RH but I don't like some of the people she follows so it's all relative.

@Alwayscheerful don't lurk join in with the chatter Wink

I'm after two poached eggs on toast with a can of Kong Strong to face my busy morning of beautifying & packing Grin

I love that I don't have post Christmas bloat in my dress for wedding tomo & that's been worth staying on track over Christmas for & I've not felt deprived at all. I'm going to be alcohol free for majority of 2019 too
