Diff aims, diff gains ...
I follow iifym with Team RH, I'm struggling a bit with my health this year so progress isn't as fast as last year but it's taught me so much about myself, my body and why I'm important, most importantly because I'm satisfied with my food I don't binge
Goals:
StarWeights section of gym
Star Size 10 clothes
Star 35lbs weight loss

I am convinced I’ve gained this week, since Friday it’s all gone a bit Pete Tong. Too hot, can’t be bothered to cook, grabbing whatever’s in the fridge.
I’ve done 5 classes this week tho and made sure to drink loads of water so that’s 2 positive things at least.

Cagliostro · 16/07/2018 11:58

I definitely do better when drinking water. I love plain water anyway so not an issue except that I often just forget. At least while it’s hot I remember more often, although due to having POTS I am supposed to drink even more than most people. I am also supposed to increase my salt intake further which I find really hard.

My food has been shocking, trying to just celebrate every tiny good decision and not beat myself up over the bad ones (which then would make me think “fuck it I’ll make even more bad decisions”). It’s such an odd time with running down the food in the house, being ridiculously stressed due to the move, we also now have no oven until we move... anything goes, trying to be kind to myself.

But water does help make all the other decisions easier. Not very frugal as I’m sticking to bottled (our tap water tastes like swimming pool ATM)

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/07/2018 12:11

I drink bottled water too cag. I hope it's going well there.

I haven't tried the carbonated water thing yet, but I'm bashing away at the clarinet practise, which is my way of doing the breathing exercises that are meant to sort out the same problem. I'm getting the knack of some scales now.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/07/2018 12:24

lifelong Good job back on track on monday Star
My dinner will be a mish mash I'd say to hit my macros because today's not planned out, just grabbed stuff that seemed good leaving this morning. Had 3 late nights, ate absolute rubbish yesterday, nonsensical really.

sunny you're really testing yourself.

cag I was at a friends house on Fri night where you could drink water straight from the tap, I think I had 6/7 pints of it!

I am mammy, but I'm on a mission. Smile

Cagliostro · 16/07/2018 12:42

It’s weird, it seems to go in phases, sometimes it’s fine! I’m not sure if it’s the actual water or just me, I have sensory issues anyway (I don’t even do well with those filter bottles, I tried for ages but it tasted fluffy once the filter had been used a few times)

What I’d like to do is get those steel Chilly bottles for us all. Also the fridge at the new house has a water dispenser yay! But I need to replace the tank and tubing as there was a little mould in it - I know I could bleach it but I still wouldn’t feel comfortable using it. I don’t even know what brand the fridge is but I’m sure I could email them and order spare parts.

Anyway I’m just keeping things simple for now and sticking with bottled, it works out pretty cheap and it’s worth it for my health I think.

I have eaten too many crackers and am totally squandering my very rare alone time (the others have gone to the shops and took the baby with them)

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/07/2018 13:34

I'm getting really confused about which thread is which. Smile

Not2bObvious · 16/07/2018 17:24

My foods been a bit off today, macros are pretty rubbish too. Out of sync totm symptoms which is resulting in exhaustion with headache. All the more reason to eat well...or go to kfc for lunchBlush Oh well it did kinda fit my macros, only had the chicken, but pretty much rubbished my budget. Dinner at least is from the freezer/store cupboard. I’m doing pretty good on the water, if I include my teas & coffees. Scales holding onto a bit of bloat but am lighter than last Monday. Hoping to see a solid 1lb off my average come Sunday

ChristmasSeacow · 16/07/2018 17:26

I’ve started using my new chilly bottle this week and it is fab. I’m really sensitive to smells and tastes but there’s no weird taint. I might buy my Mum one now.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/07/2018 17:35

I'm finding it a bit hot to eat today, but I suppose that's good for saving money and being slim, so I'm just pottering along bits of this and that potatoes.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/07/2018 18:02

I'm over again today but got a treat and didn't fancy my planned dinner. Hey how
Didn't do body pump either as was late and someone was telling horror story of how bad it is for you

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/07/2018 19:48

Oh I could fucking cry. Totm and all I want to do in binge.
Sick of everytime I re start it's shit.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/07/2018 20:01

Sorry to hear that life. Please do have a good shout about it on here if it helps.

I'm feeling the same a bit as I just ploughed doggedly through a little bit of music on the piano that I can barely play after weeks of effort and then dh pointed out one small bit that I got wrong. I'm not sure how he didn't notice me getting all of the rest of it wrong too. Hey ho.

I think that having a good moan on here is a good alternative to eating, so please do moan way.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/07/2018 20:24

Life & not2 Richie allows extra Cals for totm, last month I ate them without guilt and it was much better than eating extra & feeling bad tbh.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/07/2018 20:38

I know Mammy and I will track them. I'm just fucking sick of no motivation. Even 4 weeks to holiday isn't enough.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/07/2018 20:42

My holiday is Saturday, so I need routine back tomo just so it doesn't become two weeks of rubbish choices

Not a great ffoood day yesterday or today. Today was a combination of too busy too tired too hot

Banana, lemon sole goujons in half size bake at home baguette with low fat mayo and lemon, two small pieces of baked sf chicken to keep ds company at tea time but I wasn’t hungry.

500ml bottle of dandelion and burdock as I’m too sodding hot to drink another cup of tea

Not2bObvious · 16/07/2018 21:02

I was only thinking about the extra allowance mammy, good point. I “think” I might be ok. Macros shite but just about within calories.
Aww life it’s so crap when you feel you can’t get back on track. I know for sure though you’ll be kicking yourself stupid if you don’t grab the reins. Remember the real low feelings will be down to hormones, give yourself an extra 200-300 cals for a couple of days to get over the worst of it. Then just aim for a good morning, and take it from there. If it helps imagine having this convo with Richie...actually don’t, that’d be scary😉

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/07/2018 21:24

Richie would probably say what I would say if I wasn't feeling so shite. With just as many expletives.
Tomorrow is another day. It's always worse of I forget my large bottle and squash to drink enough in the afternoon.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 16/07/2018 21:28

I broke my water bottle last week Shock
Today I got my delivery of revive active with a free shaker and it just might do the job for work 16oz, how many of them do I've to drink Grin

CurlsandCurves · 16/07/2018 22:25

@life it’s proper shit when you feel like this. I don’t know for definite yet but feel like I’ve totally ballsed up this week and like you it’s now 4 weeks till my holiday.

GOT to focus. My dream was to be 2 stone down. As of last week I was 1.5 stone down. It’s still doable. Just got to sort myself out.

CurlsandCurves · 16/07/2018 22:26

@Life why is body pump bad for you, according to what this person was saying?

SunnyLikeThursday · 17/07/2018 04:56

I wasn't hungry at all yesterday because it was too hot, and then I just woke up at 4am, cold and ravenous. I am now having dinner. Sardines, many many sunflower seeds, and a baked potato. Fantastic.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/07/2018 06:26

Well I've woken up with a sore throat.
Apparently it's too easy to get hurt as people have bad form and the instructor doesn't correct people. Also that many reps isn't the 'right' way to fatigue the muscles.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 17/07/2018 09:15

sunny that made me smile eating your dinner at 5am!

lifelong I'm noticing that my sore throats seem to be in line with totm type symptoms now, wonder if you're the same.

Yesterday was a write off because I was tired. Planned breakfast, lunch and snacks for dinner and will fill up macros later then with dinner. Going to reduce to 1600 calories for rest of this week and smash it!

Scales looks good, average is same now as for last week. I could feel that I was bloated and sore yesterday from pizza on Sunday, it was a thick base not like what I'd usually have so that's all cleared now.
