sorry all - but I thought its all to do with the calcium intake. as long as you are having what amounts to a whole healthy extra (even if its split) then why can't you split it?

On a happy note . Just wanted to say I'm of to Alicante on Saturday & thanks to Slimming World I am now 45 pounds lighter than this time last year...

andyrobo237 · 15/08/2007 16:36

I reckon it would work splitting the HE if you needed to - they must all have a similar calorie / fat and fibre content as they are all different sizes. It must be working if you have lsot 45lbs though! well done you - how much more to go???

Fireflyfairy2 · 15/08/2007 21:47

Hi

Am back with my tail between my legs!

Had 1.5lb off tonight, so happy days!!!

Think I'm going to have another red week. did red last week & was amazed at how much I could eat!!

IndigoMoon · 16/08/2007 00:15

apologies but i am not happy again!

i went to weigh in and only lost half a pound again!!!!!!

i have been soooooooooooo good!

beginning to lose heart - i have lost a pound in two weeks

tiredemma · 16/08/2007 09:21

another 1.5lbs off last night.

so thats 17.5lbs in total since I started.

Fireflyfairy2 · 16/08/2007 10:27

Indigomoon.. that's 1lb of hard work!! I would be ok with that. The only weigh in nights I am not happy is if I have gained!

On your weigh in nights, do you have a treat?

I'm only asking as our consultant said last night "Everyone deserves a treat after weigh in, but don't go mad as you could be consuming all your syns for the week in one blow out on weigh in night!"

So just be careful of what you eat on that night. (I'm one to be talking! I had chilli chicken from the chinese & a snickers bar!)

sparkler · 16/08/2007 16:28

Hi All. It's me again. Back the Slimming World thread once again. I'm going back to Slimming World tonight - fifth time lucky . My last consultant was so awful I didn't go back and after months of not following it I have decided I need to go back.
So, new group tonight and hopefully a new me!
Look forward to chatting with you all.

hoeggie · 16/08/2007 16:30

Thanks for all of your advice on the HE's!!

I usually do green days all week and red days at the weekend but would like to try and add the odd red day during the week.

Has anyone got any suggestions for nice and easy red day lunches that I can take to work? The only things I can think of are ham salads, tuna salads, etc but I know they wouldn't fill me and I would get bored. I tend to use my HE's with breakfast which is a pain.

katylou25 · 16/08/2007 17:28

Well I was shcoked to have lost 2lb last night at weigh in as haven't really paid much attention towhat i've been eating this week - guess I just kind of do it on auto pilot now! Am back to 2 stone off which is my lowest so far - had a big gain after a hen night a couple of weeks ago - so hopefully will start going in the right direction again now.

I struggle with lunches as well so have given up using H/E at breakfast which makes lunch alot more interesting.

Hi quick question i was just wondering if anyone knew whether you could have more than 42g of LOW FAT mozzarella cheese? as only full fat mozzarella is listed so i am unsure?

andyrobo237 · 16/08/2007 20:05

Just looked at the website and the syns on line - it is 3.5 syns for standard and 2.5 syns for reduced fat moz cheese (for 28g).

As a HE it would appear that you can only have 42g of normal mozzarella cheese - there must be no additional benefit having the low fat version! You would need to look at the labels - as to remove the fat, they would have to add something else.

The A & B choices seem a bit vague to me - you cant have pitta bread yet it has the same nutritional content as bread - and yet you can have two light Alpen bars - not a like for like swap to me!

So if you want more than 42g you will have to have it as syns! Or just have a bit more and see if it afects your weight loss - I assume it isnt something you eat every day?

sparkler · 16/08/2007 21:40

That's me all signed up and payed for. Am an official Slimming World member - yet again.
My weight on the scales tonight was worse than I thought so I'm going to give it my best shot this week.
Am having my last few treats this evening then start fresh tomorrow. DH and I are away this weekend so that could be tricky.

sparkler · 17/08/2007 15:50

I almost forgot I was following the plan again today. I took dd1 and 2 out with two of their friends today and bought them a Mr Men Lolly each. DD2 only ate a small amount and said she didn't want anymore. I took it off her and almost put it in my mouth. It's so easily done isn't it? Luckily DD1 took it and polished it off instead.

Fireflyfairy2 · 17/08/2007 19:03

Welcome back Sparkler!

Well done to everyone else.

Did I say the password this week was steak

katylou25 · 17/08/2007 20:02

Well .... This week is not going well .... have had chocolate and crisps today and am sat with a big glass of wine waiting for DH to come back from chinese!

Am going out on Sunday as well for my grans 85th ...

Oh well!

Fireflyfairy2 · 17/08/2007 20:13

I'm having another red week this week.

Today I had fruit salad for brekkie. For lunch I had scrambled egg. bacon & grilled tomatoes.

For snacks I have had some cooked chicken & some ham. I spread the ham with HE laughing cow light & it is delicious!!

I'm a bit peckish now, I still have 2 HEB's left but have no idea of what to eat

Would love chip shop chips

sparkler · 17/08/2007 20:21

FFF I wish I was a size 16 but I do have the short legs. Thanks for thinking of me though - you are kind.
I'm going through a bumpy time. DH and I are away this weekend and I wondered if this week would be a good time to go to group. Thought may be next week would be better but I told myself if I don't go now I never will. DH have a kebab being delivered shortly. I keep thinking to myself get the weekend out of the way and Monday I can start afresh. Sounds like a pathetic excuse doesn't it. Why don't I have any willpower?

Lumos · 18/08/2007 05:35

FFF I would love the jeans if they are still available. Now comfortably in a 16 and definately have the short legs!

Fireflyfairy2 · 18/08/2007 12:18

Hi Lumos.

They are yours

Can you CAT me? Or do you have an email address I can msg you to get your address?

I've been to softplay this am with my 2 friends I met through SW. Home now starving with hunger!!! Have just had half a pack of ham spread with laughing cow light

Fireflyfairy2 · 18/08/2007 12:19

Lumos

What on earth were you doing up at 5.35 am?

Fireflyfairy2 · 18/08/2007 12:21

Sparkler. I find it's sometimes easier to have original days when away, as the snacks in pubs etc are usually the likes of chicken wings, or stew or something.

Also you can have bacon & eggs, tomato & mushrooms for breakfast & not feel guilty.

Have a nice weekend away with your dh! That's bound to burn off some calories anyway

Fireflyfairy2 · 18/08/2007 13:59

Has anyone any ideas for an original dinner tonight?

I had steak last Saturday night, so I fancy something else. I was looking on the website for something nice but nothing tickled my taste buds

Lumos · 18/08/2007 21:52

Thanks so much FFF! My email address is [email protected].
I was still at work at 5.35am, bit tired now and had a BAAADDD day on SW!

loulou24 · 20/08/2007 12:04

sparkler · 20/08/2007 12:42
