Thanks @twinkledag . I'd had a tough couple of weeks so it's good to be loosing again.ive a stone to go to get to target and would like to be there by mid July.

How much more have you got to go?

twinkledag · 02/05/2018 22:15

I need to lose a good stone! Currently hovering around the 11 stone mark.

corcaithecat · 02/05/2018 22:35

Hello everyone. I'm not sure if this thread's really for fatties like me because having read all the posts so far, you all sound in a different (slimmer) league. I was just thinking how deliriously happy I'd be, if the scales nudged 11 stone. Sad
Oh well, I've made a reasonable start today so head down and plod onwards and best of luck to all of you with your weight loss journey.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/05/2018 23:14

Cat this thread is for everyone who aspires to be a Slenderistas and you are very welcome aboard this dilapidated wagon

IheartCaptainHolt · 03/05/2018 03:32

Cat, I was a proper fatty when I joined! I've lost 5 stone now and still only just under 13st so still a bit of a fatty still tbh!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 03/05/2018 06:59

cat and fish welcome to the thread. Great combination of names Grin

Yesterday went well diet wise but it's going to be a tricky weekend. Alton towers with three teens on Sunday could be messy Shock

Also a bit of a disappointing physio appointment yesterday and it looks like I won't be running for a good while due to Achilles/ bursitis. I need a new exercise regime that doesn't aggravate any aches and pains.

twinkledag · 03/05/2018 07:09

Welcome @cat! 😺

Gymntonic · 03/05/2018 07:39

Hello can I join too please? Have just over a stone to lose and really hoping to be there sometime over the summer. Am 5 foot 11 and currently 12/4. Would like to end up between 11 and 11/7. Haven't been there for a good while so will tweak target when it's a bit closer.
Aiming to do lose by a combination of mfp and 16/8 ( or basically leave breakfast as late as possible and no snacks after dinner).

Really inspired by all the energy on this thread. I often give up trying this close to goal as I can squeeze into clothes. Determined to push on this timeSmile

twinkledag · 03/05/2018 08:00

Welcome to you @Gymntonic! Love the username!

FizzingWhizzbee · 03/05/2018 10:00

Hi to all the newbies - you're very welcome here! It's a lovely thread.

I was 0.5 down this morning, despite a biscuit related slip up yesterday afternoon taking a me a bit over goal - though still well under maintenance. That makes my current average 12st 9.4. It feels bad, but it is almost 1lb down on last week. It's disappointing not to be dropping the holiday weight quicker, but I do at least feel like it's starting to shift. I wasn't great for fluids yesterday, so I'm back on that with a vengeance today!

Twixes · 03/05/2018 10:24

Hopping on for some weight loss inspo. DETERMINED to get back in the weight loss saddle. Nothing fits, I'm a moany shite because of this weight gain and I hate how I look.

I need to put some honeymoon pics up to remind me of how well I look when I'm thinner!!!!

Hoolahoophop · 03/05/2018 10:43

Hi All, welcome on board to the newest Slenderisters. I love the beginning of the month always new people and new focus.

Not here though, rubbish start. And I'm so, so grumpy. Think it must be hormones!

Good eating everyone.

twinkledag · 03/05/2018 10:43

@Twixes I'm the same! Hate my clothes not fitting me Sad

BitOutOfPractice · 03/05/2018 11:26

I'm also one who is motivated by clothes fitting and looking better. I am as shallow as a tea tray!

Hello newbies and welcome aboard the good ship Slenderista.

Where oh where has TV gone? I miss our token man when he goes awol

Accidentally drank wine last night so scales a bit up but food was ok. Been to the gym this morning and food all planned. (Leftover Bang Bang Chicken for lunch and chilli in the slow cooker ready for dinner) so fingers crossed I can be golden today

TheHoundsofLove · 03/05/2018 11:54

I'm also mostly motivated by vanity! Grin
But I have been watching some of the health documentaries on Netflix and am ever so slightly horrified by how unhealthy my diet really is.

Twixes · 03/05/2018 11:55

Good to see I'm not the only one motivated to lose weight for purely vanity reasons Grin

Hello Gymntonic from the 7lb thread.

Anyone else find they need to feel pangs of hunger in order to lose weight? If I don't let myself get hungry I never seem to lose anything...trying to decide whether I have an unhealthy approach to dieting

Gymntonic · 03/05/2018 12:32

Hi twixes...yes it's just dawned on me that I need to lose a bit more before I get to work on 'the last half a stone'. Ah well.
Absolutely know I need to be hungry to lose weight at this stage. Not enough to lose the plot and scoff anything and everything in sight but constant grazing hasn't done me any favours in the past.

lastqueenofscotland · 03/05/2018 12:37

Cat this thread has seen some huge losses you’re very welcome Smile

byanyothernamerose · 03/05/2018 12:41

Hi there...please help, I convince my self that I am eating healthily but maybe I am overindulging!!

This morning I did a 3 km jog on the treadmill and then had a late breakfast of 3 quorn sausages and a hard boiled egg...is this too much to eat?

I have also had a snack of 3 gluten free oatcakes and baba ganoush....

Am I over eating/indulging?

Thank you!!!

BitOutOfPractice · 03/05/2018 13:27

Hello By - it all depends on what else you eat for the rest of the day / week / month. What method are you using?

OP posts:
BitOutOfPractice · 03/05/2018 13:28

Sorry posted too soon. Are you calorie counting? WW? Low carbing?

OP posts:
byanyothernamerose · 03/05/2018 15:21

Hi boop, thank you for replying!! I am trying low carb and a little calorie counting...

Today as I had breakfast late I will have a snack lunch of gluten free rice crackers x 3 with high protein peanut butter and an apple later.

For dinner I am out for Thai and will get a vegetable curry with no rice and extra steaks veg on the side...

Just don't know if I am overloading in the morning

Hoolahoophop · 03/05/2018 17:36

Help, ive fallen though A hole in the waggon and I'm hanging onto a rope out back. Can someone haul me back on please.

MIL visited today, it was difficult. I ate in one hour while feeling particularly stressed...
2 bags of crisps
1 cream egg
3 freddos
1 milky way
Half a box of cereal
8 seafood sticks
1 lump of cheese

ShockConfusedBlushAngrySadEnvy

Yes I did feel sick, I now feel anxious and guilty as well, not to mention really angry with myself as I have been doi g so well and if I'm going to have a day off I'd rather it be planned and fun not a full on binge that I regret.

Sorry for that confession as you were
I'm off for a chat with a councillor and a very small plate of bangers and mash.

corcaithecat · 03/05/2018 17:37

Thank you for the kind welcome.
I'm calorie counting and sticking to 1400 cals a day or less. Last year I lost 2 stone over about 5 months but then slacked off over Autumn/Winter and have put a stone back on. BlushSad
I did try more extreme dieting a few years ago with those meal replacement sachets and lost about 2 stones in a few weeks which I kept off until I got pregnant. I want to do it slowly this time as I have a huge muffin top and I don't want loads of loose skin afterwards which I think would happen if I tried to lose it too quickly.
I have a fussy DS and a fussy DH so it feels like running a hotel with all the different meals and I end up snacking on crap but I'm determined to sort myself out.
On the positive side, I have reduced my cholesterol levels so I feel I am still making some progress.
Tea tonight is chicken drumsticks with veg kebabs.

corcaithecat · 03/05/2018 17:53

hoolahoophop don't stress too much about 1 day. You can afford to eat crap for a day if you keep to a decent regime for the rest of the week and it shouldn't affect your weight loss too much.
