Hi Quim. Thank you for saying hello. I'm trying to be really mindful with what I am eating as well.

NaMajesty · 29/05/2018 22:11

Quim the 800 cal a day diet feels okay. I'm not absolutely starving hungry, and it's opening my eyes to how much I used to eat (portion size) as well as the kind of food I used to eat. I was out today and was tempted my nachos, hot dogs, dough balls, chocolate, crisps and sweets. But I managed to find willpower by consciously thinking about my thighs rubbing together in this horrible heat and how I won't have to deal with that when I'm thin Grin I did end up having 2 sweets (rowntrees randoms??) because they were practically force fed to me by a toddler who is currently being taught how to share, and that was 28 calories which I added as soon as I got home. Had to have my burger without mayo or cheese to make way for the sweets. All in all I'm pretty proud of myself.

HairsprayBabe · 30/05/2018 09:35

9.11 was hoping for a bit more from first fast day in 1000 years but
AF is on her way I think so that is something to consider.

Fast day went well, another low calorie day today, will have eggs for lunch and tofu stir fry for dinner.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

QuimReaper · 30/05/2018 10:13

Hairspray you've lost three Lindas since yesterday and you're disappointed?! I'd be delighted with that!

Namajesty you get an absolute medal for that restraint! Well done. I had the same epiphany when I started doing low-cal days: if you really just eat enough that you're not hungry, you need surprisingly little. Everything else on top of it is greed really. Not that everyone should eat as little as they can forever, but it's worth knowing about your own body.

HairsprayBabe · 30/05/2018 10:35

Oh yeah! I always think it is 12lbs in a st...
I imagine a lot of that is sugar bloat, I have genuinely eaten so much pick and mix in the last few weeks! Hoping that the rest comes of pretty easily as well

Got some new gym leggings today... might actually join the gym now, get myself in some sort of routine?

BitOutOfPractice · 30/05/2018 10:48

Don't talk to me about gym leggings. I bought a new pair from primark in LARGE. I'm a 12. I cannot get them over my knees. How dispiriting is that?

OP posts:
HairsprayBabe · 30/05/2018 10:56

That is so annoying boop I got some scrunch butt ones from amazon M from china, they are tight but not too tight.

I was in primark looking for some shorts the other day, I ended up with 2 14s that were enormous on the waist but tight on the hips, a 12 with the same problem, a 10 that was too big every where and a 10 that fit fine on the waist and hips but was so tight on the thigh. I bought nothing in the end. I have no idea what there sizes are supposed to reflect!

Twixes · 30/05/2018 11:39

The sizes reflect cheap cuts and shoddy design! Nothing to do with your body shape I'm sure :) I love Primark but sometimes I'm like wtf with their sizings.

After two days of serious discipline and a fair bit of stress I'm magically down a lb. anyone find they weigh less with their period? Whatever it is anyway I'm happy. Looking like I'll have lost about 4-5lb in 4 weeks!

QuimReaper · 30/05/2018 11:58

BOOP that's a Primark problem, not a BOOP problem! Their sizing is baffling. I wouldn't have thought gym leggings would be their strength in any case, they'd be unlikely to wash well and keep their stretch.

I've just remembered a NSV I had on Friday - was packing for my jaunt away so dug out some summer clothes I bought last summer and tried everything on. I had a button-down denim skirt which barely did up last summer, which I'd shoved into a drawer in horror, but when I tried it on for the weekend it fit like a dream! Looking back, that was about this time last year when I sleepwalked into a half-stone gain, but I'd written it off completely. A lovely surprise.

ponygirlcurtis · 30/05/2018 13:28

Well done on the losses Twixes and Hairspray. And great NSV Quim! BOOP don't give the Primark leggings a second thought, the sizings are weird.

I am sitting outside in the garden having yoghurt and strawberries. A beautiful dragonfly just landed in my yoghurt! I fished it out and it's now frantically cleaning itself. Hope it will be OK!

BitOutOfPractice · 30/05/2018 13:35

Oh I know it's to do with sizing. Not me. Still sweatily trying to cram into an item of clothing and having to give up is always going to dent a girl's mood isn't it? Grin

I bought a size 10 t-shirt in there last week but couldn't do up size 14 shorts!

I actually love Primark gym gear. I've found it to be as good / bettr than more expensive items.

Always lovely when that happens Quim

Twixes I find I instantly lose on the day I come on. Go figure

NaMajesty · 30/05/2018 14:22

Weighed myself this morning and I'm at 12.4. AF is here and I've only been low cal for 2 (now 3) days. What idiot starts a low cal diet while on?! Still annoyed that I haven't dropped 4 stone and gained abs. Grin ah well, lets just hope that number decreases rapidly!

Twixes and BOOP no I definitely don't weigh less on my period. BitchesGrin

TVHubbyClaire · 30/05/2018 14:55

Fab NSV Quim....you must be delighted with that.
No change from yesterday for me and hopefully i have peaked and will see some improvement.
A 10k steps a day thing for June is starting at work and hopefully that will get me outside in the mornings again

StormTreader · 30/05/2018 14:59

Jumping back in - still trying, still failing to make even a pound of progress! Just had a weekend with lots of being outside and small healthy meals provided (so no snacking) - I put ON 2 pounds! I did get to spend an evening throwing javelins and throwing axes into wooden boards though so thats a win in anyones books :)

Now on day 2 of a VLC week to try and show myself that any loss at all is possible - yesterday was 1000 calories to zero effect.

NaMajesty · 30/05/2018 15:05

Storm the scales and our bodies can be weird at times. You may be getting ready to have a whoosh?

QuimReaper · 30/05/2018 15:08

Storm that's very disappointing! I'm sure you'll get a plunge from a couple more 1000 days though, sometimes the scales are just stubborn for a bit before they admit defeat, no real rhyme or reason to it.

I shall have to look into Primark gym gear, I hardly ever shop there as I get so overwhelmed by the range, but gym leggings are so damn expensive I'd be willing to submit to a trying on session if I can get some new affordable ones.

BitOutOfPractice · 30/05/2018 15:14

Oh! June! Any ideas for a June thread title?

OP posts:
QuimReaper · 30/05/2018 16:10

"Join the Slenderistas as we lose 7lbs this month - June-o you want to!"

StormTreader · 30/05/2018 16:49

"Out en-June-ing the sunshine!" ?

HairsprayBabe · 30/05/2018 17:16

Half way through the year losing half a stone a month?

Sorry that is really rubbish Blush

Hoolahoophop · 30/05/2018 20:11

I just searched my brain for a good June thread title. The brain was a bit like a black hole. Sorry.
Some great losses and great wins, finding clothes that fit again. Yay to that, I was down this morning, but I think due to a haircut! Only 1200 cal today so hopefully by the end of the week the bank holiday damage will be reversed.

NormskiNamechange · 30/05/2018 21:38

How about ‘Ju(ne) can do it’? Blush

I’m down another few pounds. That’s 12.5 I’ve lost so far. I want to lose another two pounds before my holidays in just under two weeks.

ponygirlcurtis · 30/05/2018 22:45

Find your June ju-ju?

Arf at your haircut causing weight loss Hoola - I always assume that too! And when I give blood (never happens cos I eat too many Tuc biscuits after it).

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 30/05/2018 22:49

Grin I always think of weight loss as like pulling teeth - except pulling teeth would be a quicker way to lose weight. Maybe a haircut would be less painful Smile

FizzingWhizzbee · 31/05/2018 07:07

It's Flaming June! Burn some calories with the Slenderistas!

12st 6.7 today! Woo hoo!!! First time I've seen a 6 on the scales since before my holiday. It isn't all good news though:

  1. my average is a rubbish 12st 8.0, because of two stupid high weights on Tuesday and Wednesday.

  2. I'm out-out tonight so about to screw it all up again anywayBlush
