Right! I've had a really good day today. Just under my calories, lots of fluid, lots of fruit and veg, 12,000 steps and counting.

I reckon I ought to be about 7lb down tomorrow morning, yes?Grin

Right I’ve decided I’m driving that wagon (if I can get my fat arse on it) and I’m coming to pick you up, every one of you so get ready. We will all look amazing by the end of May, we will, we will ...

MissingPanda · 01/05/2018 22:18

Thanks for the new thread BOOP. Greay title Grin

If that's the wagon it's no wonder I fell off Grin I've spent the last couple of weeks eating my own body weight in chocolate and other things Blush I weighed in yesterday at 12st 2.6lb so still managed a loss of 6.2lbs. No idea how.

I'm not calorie counting atm i'm concentrating on not eating chocolate and trying to make sensible(ish) choices until I can get a grip on the amount of rubbish I've been eating on a daily basis. It'll be interesting to see what happens by the end of the month.

twinkledag · 01/05/2018 22:19

An ok day for me today and walked 40 minutes! Long may it continue!

Namajesty · 01/05/2018 23:20

Shit I only just opened the OP picture Grin didn't realise it had writing on. Now I want a bacon butty

Fizzing you are my clone!! I do a single push up and search for muscles..GrinGrin I remember my first physio session, I spent the best part of 3 hours waltzing round my house showing DH and the dogs all my new stretches I learnt, and how amazingly brilliant I was at them all.

Panda you literally went missing, you got lost in the chocolate Shock but more importantly what witchcraft did you use to get a 6 Linda loss? Sprinkle some my way please please please I beg you.

I am going to attempt fasting. Not they type where you drink water and become all hippyish and start vegan cleansing but the type where you eat in a 8 hour window.

I think if I have an allotted time frame where I can eat I will plan a lot more cautiously and can avoid being an evening snicker? snacker. Will probably need some sort of timed alarm system on the kitchen door though Blush my aim is to get into the 160's. So 10 Linda's (give or take) need to feck off.

BitOutOfPractice · 01/05/2018 23:25

Sorry about the bacon Maj Blush

Paws I'd like to buy a single ticket to the wagon please

Hi all! So a 5-6 lb loss in April and now weighing in at 9 12 (keeping track with sesame!)
Half marathon training is ramping up which is really helping with extra exercise calories!
Next target is to get to 9st 6 by the end of May - that will take me back into the healthy BMI category for the first time in 2 years.
Managed to avoid eating cakes at work yesterday despite some pressure. Good luck this week ....

MissingPanda · 02/05/2018 07:47

Morning. Throwing it down with rain today but I'm in work until 9pm so hopefully it will have stopped by then.

Namajesty I suspect a lot of that loss was water weight as I'd had a bad two weeks before climbing on the wagon at the beginning of April Blush Either way I'm taking it Grin I used to do my own version of a fast but more of a 15/9. It wasn't intentional, I didn't even realise I was doing it until I read about the 16/8 on here.

Paws can I have an harness to keep me on the wagon please. I've fell off more times then I care to remember this year Blush

Well done to those who have lost weight. Keep going if you haven't, don't lose hope, it will happen.

BitOutOfPractice · 02/05/2018 08:26

My weight is up and down like a Fiddler's elbow on a daily basis at the moment. Very confusing.

OP posts:
FizzingWhizzbee · 02/05/2018 09:27

Good job, Nan!

Maj - I'm quite interested in 16/8. I reckon it could work for me. But it wouldn't work for DH, and I have learned through bitter experience that unless we're doing the same thing at the same time (at least in terms of diet) it is doomed to failure. It's how Hugh Jackman used to drop weight as part of his prep to play Wolverine!

Sooo, my excellent day yesterday had absolutely f*ck all impact on my weight. I was totally flat on yesterday. And I'm WFH today, so there is temptation aplenty lurking in the house.

In the spirit of this months OP picture - resist I must[smiles]

TheHoundsofLove · 02/05/2018 09:29

I also find it really hard to lose and socialise! I don't know what the answer is... I'm still thinking of doing 8 weeks on the blood sugar diet, but my mum is here next week, so it's not really worth starting it until the following week...and on it goes.... But, I feel that I need a kickstart! It's been a long bank holiday weekend here, so that has more or less scuppered this week....! It's a vicious cycle and I'm just losing and then gaining the same few pounds! Aarrghghh!

Therealjudgejudy · 02/05/2018 09:59

Hi everyone. Just at my desk now with a cup of turmeric and nettle tea. 1 hour gym session done this morning and 742 cals burned.

Haven't a clue what I'm going to eat today but I don't care what it is as long as it isn't over 1200 cals total Smile

Therealjudgejudy · 02/05/2018 10:00

Oh yeah @paws, I'm on that wagon with you!

HairsprayBabe · 02/05/2018 10:04

Can't focus
9.10
Zone is lost!

BitOutOfPractice · 02/05/2018 10:07

HoundsOfLove yep. That is me. I look at my diary and try and see a decent stretch where I am not going to be out / away / socialising and realise that I am doomed to keep gaining / losing the same 4lbs forever. HOW DID I ACTUALLY MANAGE TO LOSE 4 STONE?

OP posts:
FizzingWhizzbee · 02/05/2018 11:15

That's the most frustrating bit, BOOP - I've done this before! I went from 13st 4 to 10st 8, in about 7 months. I was definitely way stricter with myself then, though. And I was doing WW, which I think is quite mean on points allocation. I'm still kicking myself for putting it back on. But, pregnancy.

QuimReaper · 02/05/2018 11:57

up and down like a Fiddler's elbow

What a brilliant expression Grin BOOP I reckon you've got to that weight where your calories are evening out, which is why you're treading water. I don't know what the solution is really - when I reached that point I had to go EXTREME to recover the situation, kick off another few Lindas and then resumed as normal and have been more or less maintaining. I find it really hard to "chip away" at my weight now, it just doesn't seem to happen any more - when I gained after Christmas and in Feb I managed to lose it again, but otherwise I just flail around in the same kilo bracket.

TheHounds why don't you do a couple of 800 days this week, sort of a cross between 5:2 and BSD to ease yourself in and maybe give the scales a nudge? When is your mum arriving?

twinkledag · 02/05/2018 13:39

Funny chat here today Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 02/05/2018 14:52

That's me too BOOP - my weight has varied by 3/4lbs (up and down) over the last few days. Confused

A couple of colleagues are doing BSD and have lost 6lb each in about a week.

TheHoundsofLove · 02/05/2018 15:53

Quim That's a good idea - thank you. She gets here on Tuesday, so could def fit in a couple of 800 calorie days beforehand!
pony That sounds marvellous! Are they finding it manageable, do you know?

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 02/05/2018 17:22

Yep me too boop. I lost 15lb in oct/Nov last year and then scales haven't budged since (apart from going up 2lb in the last week)

I'm going to quit the sugar again for a few weeks to get things moving again. I'm dangerously close to getting back into the 11 stone bracket so I need to take action.

I haven't had any sugar yet today. I know if I can last 3 days I'll stop craving it.

fishonabicycle · 02/05/2018 17:57

Hello all - I read this thread - because you are all so lovely - I have been maintaining weight (ish) for a while - trying to gain a bit of muscle. Now is the time to try to lose 2-3 kilos for summer (if it comes!). So have cut my calories from 1800 to 1500 for a bit. Might have to go lower at some point if that doesn't work ...

IheartCaptainHolt · 02/05/2018 21:23

1.5lb off at WI tonight so that's a good way to end April/start May.

twinkledag · 02/05/2018 21:45

Well done @IheartCaptainHolt
