Oh no Hoopla. I wouldn't throw any nice Karen Millen dresses out, not until they're completely hick and out of fashion anyway!

I don't know about anyone else but I'm convinced my hips are permanently wider after two babies. I think no amount of dieting would get me back into some of my pre-preg jeans. I also think the c-section has fecking ruined my abs for good. It's a jelly mess these days, saw it in the reflection of a shop window today and cringed!

Hoolahoophop · 10/05/2018 20:25

Yep, pregnancy has changed me. I used to have a tiny waist, flat stomach. Now my stomach puffs out from just below my boob's in a swollen dome to the overhand from the scars. Not sure the c sections helped, but short waist and big boob's don't go well with a still inflated belly. Sad

BitOutOfPractice · 10/05/2018 20:42

Quim I am the same. Rather a different shape than the last time I was this weight. More tummy unfortunately Sad

Well I've not quite given up. Just got a 5km PB in the gym. So there's life in the old fog yet

Woo hoo, BOOP!

I am definitely carrying more weight on my tummy than when I was this weight pre-baby. My legs and arms are thinner though - I reckon from carrying a 2.5 stone toddler up and down the stairs several times a day!

Yes, she can do it on her own - but sometimes, when you're in a hurry, you're in a hurry. And other times 'my legs are too tired, Mummy!'

MissingPanda · 10/05/2018 23:04

Evening :)

Last week was a complete and utter disaster food wise and not much better exercise wise. Didn't get chance to weigh myself Monday so don't know how much damage was done. This week was better so far. I'm not calorie counting atm just trying to make sensible choices and do some exercise.

Congratulations to all those who have lost weight/had NSVs.

twinkledag · 11/05/2018 08:16

Well done BOOP!

I too had a flat stomach before I had DS. Took me ages to retrain myself on how to dress, my legs are my best asset now when before it was my flat stomach.

QuimReaper · 11/05/2018 08:46

Well done on the PB BOOP! Definitely more tum for me too - I've shrunk overall but there's a stubborn layer of flubber which I just don't see how I'll get rid of. They say muscle work doesn't show if you have fat covering it, but short of starving myself to the bone I don't know how I could overcome that Confused

So I've just weighed in and 5 days' indulgence + 3 Golden days = only a 300g gain, so I'm very happy with that! I guess it being a city break, our jaunt away wasn't as sedentary as it might've been, and we did climb a massive fuck-off tower on our first evening after being up since 04:30, so maybe the sheer amount of movement that day meant we "earned" the wine and pasta fest at least on that day Grin Also due to flight delays on our last evening we got in too late for dinner (well, too late for me - nothing gets between MrQuim and his sandwiches) so just had a liquid dinner in the interminable shift in the departures lounge. (That was after our friend's parents fed us so much delicious food I thought I was going to actually split a seam though, so...)

That said, on the Monday on the way to Carluccio's for my sister's birthday lunch we both agreed it was a shame we were going for Italian after three days of such stupendous authentic Italian fare, and both agreed we'd go for steak or chicken or something, and we weren't even that hungry after such an indulgent weekend anyway... then both promptly ordered three courses including pasta Grin

Twixes · 11/05/2018 10:57

Weigh in today and I've lost 1/2 lb! delighted with that as I properly started on Tuesday. Managed to stay in the green each day and I got two cycles in.

We'll see now whether I can stick to this as things are always tricky on the wine-end...ooops! I mean WEEKend...

Therealjudgejudy · 11/05/2018 11:13

Send me strength guys...I'm having a fast day. My anxiety is through the roof right now so this should make it easier.

Hope everyone has a good Friday

Namajesty · 11/05/2018 12:46

Judge I am also having a fast day, I'm at the twelve hour mark atm so my hunger is really kicking in now the glucose has run outGrin heartburn is coming in too which of course is lovely Envy

BitOutOfPractice · 11/05/2018 16:07

Good news: I'm at the gym

Bad news: I'm in the café

Good news: I just ran hard on the teadmill

Bad news: I brought (Christmas leftover) Malteasers to eat

12st 8.0 for me today - almost another Linda down, and only 2 Lindas off my pre-holiday weight - I finally feel like I'm making some progress.

Friday is my non-working day that I get to spend with DD. One of the challenges is that she's going through a very fussy phase with food and it's so hard not to hoover up the leftovers. Today wasn't a complete win on that front, but it wasn't terrible either - only a couple of minor nibbles. I'm feeling quite proud of myself - I think it'll have sent me over my calories, but still well under maintenance.

poorpaws · 11/05/2018 21:33

BOOP How the hell have you got Christmas chocolate leftovers in May! That’s just so wrong.

BitOutOfPractice · 12/05/2018 10:38

I'm not a big chocolate eater. They've been sitting in my desk drawer

Gymntonic · 12/05/2018 12:18

Another half a pound off for me this week. A bit frustrated that I'm not going to get to my next target for my birthday at end of May at this rate. Better than half a pound on I guess 😏

lastqueenofscotland · 12/05/2018 14:02

6th lady at parkrun today! For a run that gets over 700 runners I’m chuffed with that, it did feel hard Blush

Gymntonic · 12/05/2018 14:47

Well for queen! I was sixth in my category and that still felt hard😂

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 13/05/2018 09:13

Wow well done parkrunners.

I feel like I've got a sugar hangover this morning after our Eurovision snacks last night. Off for a bike ride this morning. Still can't run on my dodgy ankle Sad

poorpaws · 13/05/2018 21:55

Gained half a pound so not doing too well

TheHoundsofLove · 14/05/2018 06:04

poorpaws Half a pound could just be water weight?
Well, my mum has gone home now, so I'm back on it!
Starting weight: 11 st 8
Current weight 11st 4.5
I've got no socialising planned for the next 2 weeks, so I'm determined to get myself moving in the right direction again!

NanBoleyn · 14/05/2018 07:02

Good morning everyone....
queen and gym I am in admiration of you, I really do need to get myself along to park run and run with other people not just by myself.

Another pound down this week so now 9lb 9. Would like to get to 9lb 8 this week so that I can be back in healthy weight category by time of my half marathon but don't suppose it really matters. I feel better which is what counts.
Runners amongst us, is carb loading really a thing? Should I be increasing my MFP allowance for this week in prep for 13.1 miles on Sunday!!

ponygirlcurtis · 14/05/2018 08:45

Happy Monday everyone. My weight is bobbling about right now but I have just come on so will need to see where I am at when that goes. I am trying to follow the BSD during the week to see if it can focus me.

poorpaws we have some chocolate and sweets left over from Halloween! and last Easter but they have been binned

Twixes · 14/05/2018 10:03

I'm amazed by all this chocolate hoarding. Not in my house I tells ya!

Not too much excess this weekend which I'm pleased about. Held firm on saying no to biscuits in the in-laws and ate no chocolate whatsoever. I did sneak in a few of those Lidl crispy nuts, they're so delicious but ugh even after completely scrubbing your teeth you can still taste them in the morning - not worth it!

Same weight today so I'm going to continue to be strict and hope that I see a loss on Friday.

Stupid knee is at me so I'm going to have to hold off on cycling. I really hope it's a temporary thing! Will pop lots of anti inflammatories and see how I get on.

twinkledag · 14/05/2018 11:36

Quickie to let you know I lost 0.5lb this week!

FizzingWhizzbee · 14/05/2018 11:37

And - another weekend where I started well and descended into stupid, stupid self-sabotage. I even managed to stay off the booze - but not the bread, not the bacon, and not the ice cream.

This week's excuse is that I am ill - something's wrong with my sinuses. I need to bloody sort it out! Back up to 12st 10, which is my own stupid, stupid fault.
