I need to lose three stone... My cunning plan to lose the two stone over the winter was scuppered by me putting on another one.
So does anyone fancy a healthy eating thread? Sensible and no sugar and crap?
Or does anyone have time to follow me around prising the rubbish I'm about to consume out of my mouth?
The plan is to eat really well then at the weekend have one reasonable treat. I'm going to eat carbs but small amounts early in the day and only wholegrain or brown rice.
I'm just going to start with a stone and then see how it goes.

Realised it's that cup of tea after lunch that's my downfall, I always want something sweet with it then think i've fallen off the wagon, might as well eat all the biscuits! Going to try and drink something else to break the habit.

Tubelight2016 · 11/04/2018 10:37

I have been trying to loose 3 stones for a while and after reading this I feel motivated. I am I too.

Tainrainrain · 11/04/2018 10:41

Excellent
I’ve just had herbal tea and I had forgotten how much I like it.

Just did Ripped in 30 for the second day running. I have such a crush on Jillian Michaels!

EatWorms · 11/04/2018 10:48

Ha ha op this is my life too!
Seen the weather forecast for next week and wanted to cry- everyone else will be happy to see the ☀️ except me!
Im about a stone off fitting into my summer clothes and 1.5 off feeling comfortable so I’ve been cutting down since last week and going on treadmill x3 per week going to aim for over 12k steps per day too.
In the meantime have panic brought some larger summer-ish clothes that actually fit me right now.

KateGrey · 11/04/2018 10:49

I’m drinking a lot of decaf green tea and water. Really need to sort out my eating and realise that in my late 30s with an awful metabolism that I can’t eat a huge pizza and chips once a week from the takeaway.

winterisstillcoming · 11/04/2018 12:45

Ok so Day 2 of hunger and I am grumpy as hell.

I've had 2 coffees, water and 2 scrambled eggs so far

I am planning an apple and a berocca for an afternoon snack and a smaller portion of dinner as I CBA to cook anything else.

Keep going everyone.

KateGrey · 11/04/2018 13:05

I’ve spent a lot of time on the loo due to the amount I’ve had to drink. Must stop thinking about food. Especially crap food.

beereyt · 11/04/2018 13:09

2.5 stone here. So annoyed with myself as most of it in last year. I'm in. Been to gym twice and loosely following my old sw ways. I also heard the water and lemon thing is great. Must get some

MysweetAudrina · 11/04/2018 13:16

Another one here but I can't face eating diet food or feeling deprived. I did a shop on Monday and for the last 2 mornings I have had fruit, greek yogurt and granola for breakfast and 5 grain toast with red pesto and parma ham for lunch. Normal dinners and nuts and protein bites for snacks. Loads of water and I joined up to unlimited yoga classes for a month and will try and get my 10,000 steps a day also.

I am going to focus on tasty healthy food and try and keep away from the sugar and fat laden processed snacks. At least I should start feeling better.

halfwitpicker · 11/04/2018 13:17

Have you considered low carbing?

GirlsonFilm · 11/04/2018 13:18

I'll put my hand up for this, as I need to lose 3 stone plus.

I'm planning on upping my walking and start cycling (I got a bike for my last big birthday and have been on it about twice), I also started swimming after Christmas but life got in the way.

I'm going for a low carb, high protein approach and cutting out the booze.

RavenLG · 11/04/2018 13:20

I thought this exact thing this morning when I saw the news about a “heatwave”
Well my exact thoughts were more sweary.
I need to loose about 8stone ideally but 6 would keep me happy. Keeping a stone off for longer than a week would do tbh

DessieSaysDiy · 11/04/2018 13:26

Me please...
It's the wine at night I need to curb as it leads to another glass and a snack.
As well as being greedy.
I have an extra chin or so to lose.😂

Tainrainrain · 11/04/2018 15:10

I've had a green soup with a teaspoon of pesto on the top.
I might make a chickpea curry later.

No carbs now until breakfast. X
I think starting with a stone is an excellent plan.

I’m in! I’d like to lose 3 stone, though 4 would probably be the ideal end goal. I’m a veggie and planning to tackle this Atkins-style (which as a veggie is not particularly easy) and getting to the gym. Fridge is stocked and today is day 1...

buckbeak · 11/04/2018 15:56

This was lunch for us all.

Brown rice with 5 veg quorn chilli. With basil on top. Really healthy and so filling.

I can't believe it's going to be warm and i forgot to lose 3 stone over the winter.
millimat · 11/04/2018 16:42

3 stone for me would be perfect, but def only one at a time is my goal! I've stayed a detox to kick-start my body. On day 3 but feels a lot longer! I'm resisting the urge to get on the scales.

tattychicken · 11/04/2018 16:51

Three stone here too. Four wTrying to low carb but not too strictly. Evening wine is my downfall too, then I want crisps/houmous/cheese too...

whatithink · 11/04/2018 16:59

That was my first thought OP when I heard the weather was going to be warm next week. What the hell am I going to wear?

millimat · 11/04/2018 17:16

I like warmer weather. Palazzo pants are great !

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 11/04/2018 17:22

Same here.

I blame the weather, it’s been cold and grey for so long I keep thinking I have to sort my Christmas cards.

So In the confusion the stone I meant to lose remained unlost and was joined by a mate.

Purplehammer · 11/04/2018 17:42

Imagine sausages!!
No no bear with me I haven’t taken leave of my senses.
There are eight sausages to the pound.
So 112 sausages in a stone.
So in three stones there are 336 sausages.
Picture yourself walking about with 336 sausages wrapped around your body every day.
Every time you go upstairs, get out of bed,off the toilet your’e having to lift those fucking sausages and take them with you.
You’ll get so sick of sausages you’ll do anything just to see the back of the bastards.

londonloves · 11/04/2018 18:37

I want to lose three stone before my wedding in September but at least 1 stone before holiday at end of May to get back to pre baby weight.
I feel so disgusted with how fat I am, but I know that's not a very healthy way of viewing it. And I did make an amazing baby 👶.
Working two days a week and really struggle to eat healthy on those days as I get up at 5...
I am using the Lose It app but struggling to stick to my calorie allowance.
Oh why is it so hard to achieve when you want it so badly?!

winterisstillcoming · 11/04/2018 19:09

Don't beat yourself up,about it, it's happened because you've got more important things to do/worry about.

Millimat, could I have details of the detox at all? I've not done one before but am in panic mode. I'm really bloated too, so,I'm drinking lots of water and avoiding salt but could do with getting all the rubbish out of my system..

I love the sausage analogy, although I love the heck ones with root veg mash......!
