I need to lose three stone... My cunning plan to lose the two stone over the winter was scuppered by me putting on another one.
So does anyone fancy a healthy eating thread? Sensible and no sugar and crap?
Or does anyone have time to follow me around prising the rubbish I'm about to consume out of my mouth?
The plan is to eat really well then at the weekend have one reasonable treat. I'm going to eat carbs but small amounts early in the day and only wholegrain or brown rice.
I'm just going to start with a stone and then see how it goes.

We've all been there @llangennith, just get back on it.

I'm making the most of January too@londonloves, I don't have a social life to sabotage the healthy eating thank goodness. 7lbs off also goes through the 10st barrier for me so I'm desperate for this next pound to come off. I think mini goals and treats are the way to go to break down this task.

I have a few parties in March and a wedding in August to set these goals to. Anybody got any events coming up to look forward to??

winterisstillcoming · 24/01/2019 13:34

Nothing like a haircut @london. I'm aiming for a sweeping fringe when my cheekbones make an appearance. They're currently hibernating 🙄

NerrSnerr · 24/01/2019 13:44

I'm still here, I put on a few pounds at the tail end of last year but I'm still nearly a stone lighter than I was this time last year.

I have lost 6lbs so far this month and I'm about 1.5 stone away from my goal. I will wear those size 10 summer dresses I have in my wardrobe this year!!

londonloves · 24/01/2019 14:32

My ultimate goal is my old size 12 fat face jeans!

PixieN · 26/01/2019 22:19

Hey ladies, I’m still here too and have annoyingly put weight on again. I’m still half a stone lighter than my heaviest (I think, as it’s been a few weeks since I weighed myself) but my clothes are feeling tighter again. I find it harder to lose weight when it’s cold. I just want to comfort eat. Excuses, I know Hmm

londonloves · 26/01/2019 22:40

Hey @PixieN it's so hard In the winter isn't it.
Had no carb dinner tonight and I feel fucking starving now! I'd better be thin in the morning! X

Steala · 30/01/2019 01:21

Thanks for restarting the thread. Good to see so many familiar names.

I'm back at my hibernation weight but lost 6lb this month and hoping to lose another stone (ideally 2) before the summer.

My problem is still comfort-eating and massive appetite. I exercise loads but they say you can't outrun your fork and I am living proof of that..

londonloves · 30/01/2019 08:58

6lb in a month is great progress. Happy to say I've managed the same too, stomach bug this week I think has helped though...!
Stopping weekday wine seems to be a critical factor - necessary from a budget perspective too!
I have 8lb to go to pre pregnancy weight and then another 14-21lb to my ideal. I'm going on holiday to Greece on May 23rd so that's my target!
I quit work and I'm at home now and it's loads easier to control what I'm eating now, there's no crap in the house and no shop just down the corridor from my office selling wotsits and yorkies! Interestingly, my mum read something recently which said hat long commutes make you more likely to make poor choices re food as you're tired and feel like you deserve a treat for enduring your commute!

Well done on everyone's weight loss. So January is over and I've lost 3lb. I'm disappointed but glad I'm moving in the right direction and I've pushed through a stubborn stone barrier. The next step is to do a few exercise videos as my body is now more used to the lower calories.

Well done everyone too, keep at it. The updates are keeping me going xx

Sun4you · 01/02/2019 14:22

Well done everyone! Hope you are all still on track.

I have recently posted an article about multiple topics on loosing weight. If you wan't to know more about it, klick here

NerrSnerr · 01/02/2019 16:39

I managed 7lbs in January. Thank goodness my 1 year old is still breastfeeding like a newborn overnight! I'm bloody knackered but it's burning calories without exercising!!

My jeans are falling down today too so I'm feeling motivated. I have 1 stone until I am a healthy BMI and 1.5 stone to go until I'll be happy.

londonloves · 01/02/2019 17:55

I checked my BMi today and I've got 13lb to go to get to the to the top of healthy, so goals are:
4lb - next stone barrier
8lb - pre pregnancy weight
13lb - healthy BMI
1 stone 8lb to holiday goal (end of May)
1 stone 11lb to ultimate goal!
I like a plan... I've lost 7lb in January so going to stick with the wine strategy (weekends only with occasional Wednesdays)
Are you all doing calorie counting or SW or what? Well done everyone for sticking with it.

londonloves · 01/02/2019 17:57

@winterisstillcoming good idea to exercise videos. Been thinking of doing this too as my toddler could "help" me/dance around. Going to try library and charity shops as am skint thanks to expensive ill cat! Am so bloody stressed about the cat, we are going to have Chinese and wine tonight as our once a month treat!

winterisstillcoming · 01/02/2019 18:06

@londonloves I like the plan. I need to do some goal setting too. Jillian Michaels' shred part 1 is on YouTube as well as loads of people doing insanity videos so you can do videos without shelling out. Good luck and keep going all x

Another one here who meant to lose some weight in January and failed, put a pound on. Last year (between June and September/October I manged to get down from 9st8 to 8st10ish, was pleased with that, cause I feel that it is realistic for me. Not skinny skinny, but realistic, puts me at pretty much a size 10 (I'm 5ft5, small build). Since December have gone up to 9st3.5, so need to get that half stone off. I have decided to go lower carb rather than super low as this kick started my weight loss in teh Summer. In the past I have been slated for my food choices on here, I know I should eat eggs for example but I hate them, So today Ii had a cereal bar for breakfast, salted peanuts for lunch, celery for a snack and a large chicken and veg stir fry (admittedly with a chow mein sauce for dinner). Maybe not perfect but for me it is a pretty good day. Will next weigh in on Saturday .

PixieN · 20/02/2019 09:18

I’m gutted as I managed to get down to 10st 5 last year, but have since put on a stone over Christmas 😔 I’m finding it difficult to get to my exercise classes as i’ve been having knee pain so i’ve been mainly walking, doing some cycling (I read that it’s good for knees) and have just started doing some of the beginner yoga with Adrienne videos for a more gentle approach. I do know I need to eat less and better. I recently read ‘Mastering your Metabolism’ by Jillian Michaels so thinking of trying her approach diet-wise. I really don’t want to have another summer of hiding behind floaty tops and cardies 😳

Hope everyone else is getting on o.k x

londonloves · 20/02/2019 17:42

I'm a by stuck again after losing 7-8lb in January. Need to lay off the wine but life is a bit too stressful at the moment to countenance that! Also I think I need to work out a lower calorie option for our Friday takeaway treats as I just undo all the good work of the week!
I've requested an exercise dvd from the library so will give that a whirl with the toddler in tow and see if it works!
7lb to go to pre baby weight...
