I'm going to lose 2 & 1/2 stone

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 25/03/2018 22:36

By 25th June ...

I go on holiday the next day and I just refuse to be fat in 35 degree heat. I last went away two years ago and I'd never experienced this thing called 'chub rub.' I experienced it alright then! Hideous

I'll weigh in tomorrow and record it in here. I'll list my daily food and exercise sessions and I'm sure anyone reading will be positively riveted.

I'm planning on the 8 week blood sugar diet I think - it gives fast results but you're still eating real food and I just don't have it in me to do the whole shake thing right now.

I do Pilates around 3 it so times a week - mainly because it doesn't get my heart rate up and my make up stays intact. I'm working up to something that actually burns some fat. On the plus side - I can touch my toes

I'm 5 ft 4 and I'm very overweight really. I have a wardrobe filled with every size from 8 to 14 and since Christmas I've been firmly in the 14s and today I reached for my only size 16 pair of jeans and they bloody fit

I've had enough of the junk food I've been living on so day one is tomorrow and I WILL lose these couple of stones. Not aiming for skinny - I just want to feel comfortable

You're welcome to join me and we can keep each other going. And then, come June 25th, we can disappear into the ether again

Or I'll just talk to myself? Let's see

Wow Roly 10lbs is amazing, well done! Flowers

I've lost 5lbs and very pleased with that.

I'm celebrating with a cup of black tea and I'll post today's plan later Smile.

XRayYankee · 02/04/2018 09:36

My starting weight just after Christmas was 11 stone 7. I've lost half a stone since the New Year by cutting back on white carbs in general. For the past 6 days, I've followed the principles of the Blood Sugar diet and am now 10 stone 9.

I hope to get down to 9 stone 7 by the end of May, which I think is doable. I haven't been at this weight for about 4 years, and I have a wardrobe full of summer clothes that currently don't fit.

In the meantime, I have a health MOT with the GP at the end of this month, and that's what is motivating me in the short term.

Today's food plan is yogurt and berries for breakfast, black tea, coffee and water, salad for lunch and chicken and veg for dinner.

MilkshakeMaker2 · 02/04/2018 11:05

Hi can I join in too? I've weighed myself this morning and I'm 12st7. (I'm hoping some of that is bloat)

I'd like to lose 3 stone, 1 by end of May as I have an event, 1 by October and 1 slowly but surely after that. Does that sound doable?

I will be doing diet shakes til the May event and then mfp afterwards. I have a Fitbit and I'm feeling quite motivated. I just need somewhere to talk about it all as I'd like to not mention it too much to friends and family and see if anything is noticed!

vxa2 · 02/04/2018 11:29

Can I join please ? I am 12st 7 and would like to be 11 stone by 9 July which is my 47th bday. 31 March was my 2 year anniversary after stopping drinking and I still have some issues with eating especially at 4-6pm which is when I would have been driinking.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 02/04/2018 20:36

Tiredemma · 03/04/2018 08:27

Can I join?

I'm 10st 4lbs and have a holiday on May 24th where I hope to be 10lbs down.

Also doing 8 week BSD

athingthateveryoneneeds · 03/04/2018 08:33

Completely went off the rails over the weekend but have tried to pull myself back on course yesterday with an 855 calorie day. Surprisingly I was full by the end of the day and had no interest in snacking or eating the rest of my calories.

Have started today with loads of water and a 271 cal breakfast. I have a headache coming on so hopefully the water will keep it at bay. I hate starting the day with a headache.

XRayYankee · 03/04/2018 21:37

Your cals are quite low X-ray - do you feel ok on them?

I'm suffering from low energy, 9 days in. Not tired per se, I don't need to sleep, I'm just really noticeably lacking in energy. I live in a house with several floors and don't usually have an issue climbing them all - past few days it's been a slog. Pilates tonight felt like hard work too

XRayYankee · 04/04/2018 21:53

Roly, thanks for asking; I feel good, doing no more activity than normal though.

I'm going to start doing more formal exercise in the next few days and will increase the calories, I reckon.

athingthateveryoneneeds · 04/04/2018 22:02

Trying to reduce calories by a couple hundred each day this week to make up for eating 2 days worth of calories on Sunday. Shock

I've never really calorie counted before and it's absolutely astonishing to see how quickly they can be eaten. I've sworn off bread because it just isn't worth the calories anymore! It doesn't fill me up enough to justify eating it. But overall that's a good thing because I just use bread as a vehicle to eat delicious butter and sugary jam. Once I managed to eat 8 rounds of thick white slabs of bread, toasted and buttered and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. That's just not normal. But I'm not sure what is normal eating, which is the crux of my problem.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 05/04/2018 12:21

Athing - I hear ya re the calories. I'd think nothing of having a tube of Pringles and then maybe a family bag of fruit gums and that's over 2000 calories right there. Add in a large chocolate bar to take it to 3000 and I think we can see why I went up to over 13 stone. I worked out I was easily putting away 4-5000 calories a day. Ridiculous

I'm aiming to up my carbs to 60g a day from now on as I've been feeling weak and I think this is why. My carbs since I started the diet are between 30-45g a day and I'm almost sure this is what is contributing to feeling so low in energy

Today I've had a protein bar and then just had my yogurt, nuts and berries and I'm already on 40g although within calories of course. So I'm hoping to feel better soon - already feel more perky than yesterday!

It's hard thinking of carb food when you can't just eat a few bits of toast!

OP posts:
XRayYankee · 05/04/2018 20:55

Today:

Greek yogurt
Cherries

Salmon
Pak Choi
Green beans
Sugar snap peas
New potatoes with butter

Red wine
Tea and water

Calories - 888

Was out for lunch today, would not have had the potatoes otherwise, but I reckon that was a better option than french fries.

So a little carb heavy, but not too bad at 76g Smile.

Steala · 06/04/2018 04:51

Please can I join? I've managed to gain 10 lb in 3 weeks to add to the 1.5 stone I was already trying to lose. I've been binging and comfort eating but after a day of sunshine, I can feel an urge to shed the layers of flab.

XRayYankee · 06/04/2018 22:07

Today:

Greek yogurt
Raspberries

Tea, coffee, water

Omelette with onion, herbs and green beans
Salad leaves, cucumber and cherry tomatoes

Small piece of cheddar
Two cream crackers
Small glass of red wine

Total calories - 786
Total carbs - 50g

athingthateveryoneneeds · 06/04/2018 22:29

I did an at-home yoga class this morning and this afternoon took the dog out running with DD riding alongside on her new bike. :)

I've definitely eaten some of those calories this evening, but I'm okay with that. It wasn't out of control like last weekend.

I'm too lazy to go get my phone and list what I've eaten, but I'm happy with my choices today overall. I did succumb to the lure of bread, but hey ho.

RolyPolyLilBatFaceGirl · 06/04/2018 22:41

Went out for food yesterday and had the most amazing chargrilled chicken and goats cheese salad ( would have previously devoured something stodgy). THEN took kids into the desert bar next door and ordered zilch for myself. Previously would have ordered something mega chocolatey. Just off out for 5 mile run/walk.
Will weigh myself tomorrow.....
